We just returned from an unforgettable stay at Bosque del Cabo and can't recommend it highly enough. Nestled in the lush rainforest of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula, this nature lodge is a dream come true for anyone who loves wildlife, adventure, and tranquility. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by wildlife—monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws, coatis, and so much more There was no shortage of adventure. We hiked through lush rainforest trails, surfed on beautiful nearby beaches, and even rode horses along the shoreline - an absolutely magical experience. Each activity was well-organized and made it easy to enjoy the beauty of the Osa Peninsula. The food was also a major highlight. Every meal was fresh, creative, and delicious, served with a personal touch that made us feel right at home. The lodge itself is rustic luxury—comfortable, clean, and perfectly in tune with its surroundings. The staff at Bosque del Cabo made our stay extra special. They were warm, welcoming, and full of knowledge about the local ecosystem. I highly recommend both the night tour and nature walk with Carlos! Their passion for conservation and hospitality really shines through in everything they do. If you're looking for an off-the-beaten-path destination with amazing wildlife, outdoor adventures, and great food, Bosque del Cabo is the place. We left feeling relaxed, inspired, and already planning our return. Highly recommended!

My husband and I just got back from our friends wedding at Bosque del Cabo and it was amazing! Not only did the staff greet you right away (they remembered our names throughout the entire stay which was impressive haha). The cabanas seem to be all different which was awesome, and you feel like your in the heart of the rainforest with so much wild like around you. You wouldn't think you would get good sleep, but man did we have the best sleep ever with it so dark and peaceful at night. My husband and his friend went fishing the next day which was a blast, and caught some red snapper in which the staff cooked it up for lunch that day. They truly have some great chefs onsite. Our friends had their wedding reception there and they were so accommodating for the wedding group, and also respectful of the other guests staying there as well. It was very well managed and executed. A lot of us got massages which was so peaceful, and we also went on the catamaran for 12 guests which I highly recommend. Bosque took care of our lunches and transportation, and booking it with the captain. We were gone all day and it was surreal...our boat was in the ocean with about 200-300 dolphins, then snorkelling in the beautiful teal green/blue water, and listening to music and sailing was just perfection. All in all, we had the best time with all our friends, and whether you go with friends, kids or family, there is something to do for everyone. I would give this place a 20 out of 10 if I could as the owners (Kim and Phillip) are great to work with, staff are so friendly. You are truly in the rainforest and it forces you to put down your phones/computers and really enjoy the true beauty that mother nature has to offer! Best, Samantha & Ramon Pradera

I was sad this morning not to be rising with the sun, while listening to the tropical birds and howler monkeys greeting the morning. I just returned from a visit to Bosque with my daughters (ages 18 and 20). We all loved our time there so much. The lush property overlooking the ocean is so beautiful, the nature amazing, the food delicious (and 10 stars for accommodating our food allergies!) The activities that can be arranged for you are so fun. Some take place on the property (zip lining, tree climbing and repelling, night nature hike are some) and some are off property (horseback riding, surfing, catamaran). Everyone there from the owners to the staff to the guides are sweet and willing to help with whatever you need. If you want a rainforest experience, this has everything!!

This was our second trip to Bosque del Cabo, and it was just as wonderful the second time as it was two years ago. Bosque has a fantastic location - it is beautiful, remote, peaceful, pristine, and full of wildlife. We had monkeys hanging around the trees right outside our cabina. The walking trails are extensive, and there is something interesting to see no matter which one you take. Two of the trails lead down to almost deserted beaches where you can cool off in the water. The staff at Bosque are so kind and attentive. It is hard to say goodbye to them when you leave. The food is excellent - try the banana pancakes for breakfast, the tuna melt sandwich, the curry chicken papaya sandwich, and the avocado sandwich for lunch. The drinks at the bar are always good - plenty strong and reasonably priced. We love the fact that at Bosque, you spend so much time outdoors. The dining area is open-air, the private showers are outside, and you can sleep with your cabina doors wide open if you like. It is like luxury camping. I cannot wait to return!

It's hard to say anything that hasn't already been said in all the rave reviews on Tripadvisor. I've been coming to Costa Rica for almost 30 years now, since studying abroad back in the '90s, and I was skeptical that this place could live up to the hype. But it did, and then some. What really distinguishes Bosque del Cabo is the location and the people. The wildlife viewing opportunities on the hotel property are like none we've ever experienced. We saws monkeys (howler, capuchin, and spider), coatimundis, peccaries, agouti, snakes, bats, poison dart frogs, macaws, toucans, an anteater, and much more. To top it off, on our last morning we saw a puma out in the open on our way back to Casa Coco. Amazing! If you want to see wildlife, this is the place to go. Aside from the setting, the owners have created a really special guest experience because of the amazing staff. Without doubt, the people behind Bosque del Cabo are what make this place so special. From the owners to each and every staff member, the hospitality was amazing. It's hard to describe, but you'll understand when you visit. The vibe is pura vida at its finest. In terms of activities, there are plenty to chose from. We did a guided hike with Carlos on our first morning, which allows you to see all the hidden wildlife that you might miss and get a lay of the land. We also did the catamaran tour of the Gulfo Dulce--we saw hundreds of dolphins and the captain (Cali) was awesome. The rest of the time we hiked in the mornings in later afternoons, rested by the private pool in between, and enjoyed great dinners at the main lodge in the evenings. It's easy to understand why BdC has so many return visitors. It really is an exceptional place.

We made our second visit there this March. We first visited 10 years ago with our older son and came back this year with our 8 year old twins so they could experience this special place. Bosque is the perfect blend of a laid back and natural setting, while having incredible jungle adventures and amenities available as well. The grounds are incredible and there is wildlife everywhere, including in the trees right outside your room! The staff were so kind, helpful & patient, the food and drinks were delicious and fresh, and there was a wonderful camaraderie amongst the guests. We highly recommend visiting Bosque!

I recently visited Bosque del Cabo Rainforest Lodge with four friends, and it was truly unforgettable. We stayed in Casa Miramar, which was gorgeous – spacious, open to the rainforest, and offering stunning views of the ocean. Phil and Kim were amazing hosts and took such great care of us. Their love for the place shines through in every detail, from the beautiful trails to the delicious food and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Waking up to howler monkeys and watching macaws fly by from our deck felt like a dream. This place is perfect for anyone wanting to unplug and experience nature in comfort. We can’t wait to come back! - James
