Hotel Suite Montana Club

Puerto del Carmen|0.51km from Tiny Bar
Just returned from a week's break in Lanzarote at the Montana Club. This was our first self catering holiday in over 25 years so we were a bit apprehensive. Check in was quick, basically an envelope with the room key card and a welcome pack. We were in the premium suites side of the complex, room 230. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed for a lovely break, nice sitting area, clean bathroom and comfortable beds. The location, as most reviews have said, couldn't be better. Less than a 2 minute walk to the supermarket and 10 minutes down to the *****. The rooms which seemed to get the sun for most of the day were 219 to 224 and 227/228. We didn't use the pool or the snack bar so can't comment. The main ***** at Puerto del Carmen has lots of bars and restaurants to cater for most people's tastes. The old town is about a 30 minute walk and we loved this area, we found a great bar overlooking the sea where the food and drinks were great and the staff so friendly,it is called La Tinosa and is on the bend along the walkway,it does get busy but is worth it. We also had an indian meal in the old town at Bombay Grill which was excellent. Some other good restaurants we ate at along the ***** were Trattoria Don Rafaelo, and Asian KItchen. We were chatting to other guests at the Montana, some were there for a month's stay and said it is almost fully booked for the rest of this year. Overall it was lovely to get away from the cold weather at home and enjoy a pleasant week in the sun.

Apartaments la Penita Lanzarote

What a wonderful place to spend a week prior to the mad Christmas break!! Ideally situated about 13 steps from the main *****, there is nothing not to like about these friendly, clean, well appointed and safe apartments. Firstly the excellent points: Friendly Staff. Easy check in. Clean apartments. Well maintained and clean pool area. Plenty of sun beds. Excellent on site bar, serving beautiful food at very reasonable prices. Happy hour 12.00 - 13.00 and 16.00 - 17.00. Multiple locked and gated access which gives excellent security. Bad Points: None. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves that much I have been tasked with booking November 2024 already, a very well done to all involved!
Hotel Lanzarote Village

Myself and my wife spent two weeks at this 4 star hotel from the 7th to the 21st of Jan 2024. Twenty mins transfer time from the airport to the hotel. Was a quick and easy check in, lovely receptionist and given an upgrade to a side sea view room no 1233 which was an unexpected bonus. The room was modern well furnished and very clean. The bathroom was well kitted out with a newish walk in shower and a first in my experience of hotels of a glass panel that was actually long enough to contain all the water and didn't let liquid spill onto the tiled floor. Top marks for the bathroom designer. The bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept very well. There was no noise to disturb us from suitcases being dragged along floors or staff beginning their chores in the morning as is the norm in most hotels. The location of the hotel is perfect for us. Right opposite a beautiful beach and 20 Min easy walk on the left to Matagorda where you will find lots of bars and restaurants and beautiful beaches where we swam in the warmer than normal sea most days. Shout out to the Sirocco restaurant and the Devon. Food and drink in both was great. The weather incidently for the full holiday was sensational. 22 to 23 degs most days and a couple of days at a toasty 26degs. Perfect. Turn right out of the hotel and you are on the ***** for Puerto Del Carmen. Up to 40 mins to reach the end but worth the walk for all the shops bars and restaurants that line the whole *****. Some beautiful beaches all along the way and we had some great swims and lunches down there. Shout out to Long beach club on the ***** for fabulous views and superb food and service. Also unbelievably you can buy a large draught beer at many bars in both resorts for only €1.50. Unheard of nowadays. Lanzarote village hotel was spotlessly clean in all public areas and our room was cleaned every day to a high standard. The staff everywhere in the hotel are helpful friendly and efficient even in busy times when they are obviously under pressure. The dining room staff who we had the most contact with because we were on half board were unfailingly pleasant and smiley and invariably up for a laugh and a joke with guests which all helped to make the experience more memorable. This happened even at the busiest of times which is admirable because it showed everybody had bought into the ethos of no matter how much pressure you are under the guests happiness and enjoyment was paramount. The pool area was also kept spotless and was a great place to sunbathe and relax and getting sunbeds was never a problem even though the hotel was busy. Now to the food served at this hotel. I have seen a number of reviews criticising the culinary offering here and it may put some people off booking here which would be totally unfair to the chefs and the hotel . I would like to put straight a couple of points in reviews that really annoyed me after dining here for two weeks Somebody remarked ”Nothing goes together ”. Every nig
Plaza Azul

After reading the slightly mixed reviews before travelling I thought I should review our trip with a bit of detail. We have just returned from an Easter break at Plaza Azul, we had great weather and a truly great time😀. It is very true that the apartments are a little bit basic, tired and dated, they do however appear to have a fairly fresh coat of white emulsion. We found the apartments really clean and we appreciated the towel change and quick clean every couple of days. The pool area is really nice, again really clean, with a nice pool bar with a bit of music through the day, the bar is pricey compared to local bars, (which is a real shame because we would have used it a lot more) also you have to be early for a pool side sun-bed. Reception are friendly and very efficient in our experience, they are also backed by some great staff. We found the position perfect, 5 mins from beach and central of Porto del Carmen. We found it a really nice budget accommodation and well worth 4stars for the price

Fabulous hotel. We’re here at the moment and really enjoying it. First time at this hotel. We were upgraded on arrival so that was a bonus, and our apartment is great. The beds are massive and really comfortable, as were the pillows - very important to us!! Nice to have fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making equipment. Lovely power shower. Apartment spacious with a massive terrace - table & chairs & 2 sunbeds. Everywhere and everything is spotless. Pool area is great - I like that the sunbeds have plenty of space between them. There are also sofas along the back in the shade. Great access to beach area through the back gate. There is a book swap library with a nice quiet seating area. Great lounge - the seats are so comfortable, and entertainment from 9 pm every evening. The hotel staff, without exception, are so friendly, efficient and accommodating.. Dining room is good with plenty of choice, and I like that you can eat outside as well. We’ve been coming to this resort for over 25 years and this is the best place we’ve stayed.
Vik Hotel San Antonio

I’ve reviewed this hotel before I wonder how my review will differ from then! Since arrival I’ve complained about a waiter shouting in Spanish that I was to get only one decaf coffee despite me being all inclusive. I got it from another waitress today! That I drink too Much coffee! I’ve had 6 from them today and spilled the first lot every where second lot was so hot I burnt my bottom lip. Some staff are really lovely but some are awful! Bad smell in room from when I arrived and thought someone had wet the bed and turned the mattress it was so bad! Got mattress changed after a few days and thought that was it but put air conditioning on and smell was back! Room has been sprayed with every kind of spray despite me being asthmatic! Service person arrived about 11 pm with about a gallon of disinfectant to put in the drains! I was expected to sleep with the smell despite telling him it’s the air conditioning the only place that didn’t smell was the toilet! Told him to leave went to open balcony door to let the smell out but wouldn’t open got a fan and that person could smell it then the second man eventually got the door opened and fixed my safe as it had been unlocked as they might have thought I’d left! Got a dirty cup with breakfast and at one lunch was a bit of plastic in my salad fruit or potato I said it was ok to the apologetic waiter it’s easily done. Told rep about the going on in room she went up ask to for another room! Never heard anything and didn’t want to speak to the rude dark haired woman at reception! After she told me there were no rooms! phoned England jet2 Rep phoned to say they were changing room! Went to get room card and I was ignored sitting in my mobility scooter and all staff standing in a row! I have to say the younger staff are nice and helpful if they can! People got out of a taxi and walked to reception and the rude woman started talking to them and I asked if I was invisible! There was something said about me coming back and talk as “normal “ meaning I was shouting! I got the room changed and smell is gone! Other room air con cleaned but still smelling when I left ! Manager said I had caused a disturbance when the rep was there at reception that morning I said no I was at breakfast and she was there with another Scot’s woman! My voice was commented on by him! A “strong “voice? Do they prefer women to speak like mice? Despite my strong voice I was not heard after 9 days of trying to get the smell fixed in my room! I told the manager I had pneumonia in Spain and other people through dirty air conditioning! I’ve paid a lot of money for this holiday but I feel like an unwelcome guest! A lot of staff like me here as I’ve been before but I think I’ve reached the end of the road with this hotel! It’s not the same! 2 cockroaches at swimming pool and one on stairs!. Still here go home in about 6 days and just hope nothing else happens! Rep phoned and said no there was no disturbance when she was there! Just goes to s
