HG Lomo Blanco

Ideally located in quiet part close to old town as well as the *****. Two pool areas (one with shallow kids pool) and food available by larger pool -also small dining area just past reception (good selection for breakfast). Pool table for older kids and small playground for toddlers onsite. Very clean complex and friendly staff. Fully equipped kitchenette and lovely powerful shower in bathroom which I loved! Close to lots of shops and restaurants, but relatively steep stroll downhill to beach, fine for us but could be a workout with buggy or if any mobility issues. There was on street parking outside if hiring a car. Lots of taxis around if not! We enjoyed exploring the local areas on foot after a day of sightseeing…some great restaurants close by in the old town. No air con in the apartment that we could see (but we didn’t ask either as we stated at end January so 24 Celsius and pleasant indoors and out) - recommend checking if going at peak times. Pools weren’t heated but nice for a dip- clean and lifeguards on duty at both between 9:30 and 6pm. Relaxing short break at lovely complex, we’ll be back!

Recently stayed here, on first impressions it's OK. Rooms basic but clean. Living room cluttered with too many bits of furniture hard to move around without snacking your shins. We stayed BB, breakfast looks fresh and well presented, rather disappointing if you are vegetarian or vegan, no milk/ butter alternatives . Having to provide my own, which is frustrating, I've paid the same as everyone else yet get less options for it. Only food options available dry cereal/ toast or fruit. Meat eaters won't go hungry as its a very meat heavy selection. If you have allergies, be aware not everything is labelled. Pool areas tidy and water clean. Sunbeds available later in the day no chance in the morning they are either taken or reserved even though they say this is not allowed. Some sunbeds need fixing or replacing as broken. Poolside bar is basic with limited options, expensive compared to the main *****. Staff friendly and helpful for the most part. Be careful with valuables as once the room is cleaned the doors are not re locked. Both the balcony door and front door just closed over even though the balcony door was locked with curtains closed we got back to curtains open and door unlocked. Front door was just shut, but it was not properly locked.

Lovely hotel but needs something doing with rhe pipe work awful smell in the bathroom most of the time which spoilt our stay reported it someone came straightaway to have a look but smell sharp came back . Staff all lovely in bar and pool bar apartments spacious and cleaned regular would go back if could be in different part of hotel . In great place for shops and bars weather was red hot all the time of our stay

We spent a week at Lomo Blanco in August we booked here because it was very reasonably priced and it was worth the money we paid. We was in A block which is mucher nicer than B block our apartment was very clean modern and spacious and it wasn't a problem not having air conditioning as we had ceiling fans and we felt they worked really well keeping us cool otherwise thi k it would have been uncomfortable. The only downside to this complex is the loungers people put towels on ridiculously early and half of em don't appear till after midday and you had 1 life guard who was on you for eating so much as a bag of crisps around pool area but nothing said on empty sunlowngers with towels and he was the only guard to enforce the eating rules you can't have it enforced on some says and not others. Garden area and complex kept really nice and clean and bar and snack area served nice snacks and drinks. Maybe dont allow ball games in pool its too small you have to keep ducking so you don't get hit. Great location.

Great apartments, all you need if you are self catering. Kettle, toaster, filter coffee machine, induction hob, combi oven, full size fridge and all the utensils you need. Very clean, although not sure how often the sheets and towels were changed. The bar and restuarant staff were great, reception OKish, housekeeping we didn't have much to do with but they did ignore the 'do not disturb' notice. Pool area was good, the pool is supposed to be heated in Winter but as we didn't use it I don't know if it was. The breakfast was sufficient and the hot food hot. We didn't eat in in the evening so can't comment. Entertainment some nights, and a BBQ night. Location is up a hill and there are various ways down, 2 sets of steps, the road and the lift in the shopping centre/supermarket which was great for coming back up. It is located between the old town and the front ***** so central. Would go back again if in the area.
