We enjoyed a week here in February. The place was immaculately clean and tidy. With young children there was plenty to do and places nearby to visit. Food was a concern before travelling but I am glad to say our worry was not justified. There was so much choice and different options every day. Plenty of choice pretty much all day long and the entertainment was also very good. So much so we are looking to stay again next year.

Jst an average hotel, could be good with a little effort! Tired needs updating! Don't get the paper cup policy, seems like a lot of waste! Room was a great size, but again needed a little tlc here and there! Bathroom definitely needed work, a shaver socket wouldn't go a miss! Location was great, can't get closure to the beach than here!

Pros: Great location. In front of the beach and basically next to Irish pubs and shops (for all the good quality versions of the fake Bags and belts and clothes and anything you need for beach and pool and souvenirs) and restaurants by the sea. There are no cars allowed-it’s bikes and pedal carts and walkers and joggers all along the seafront in front of the hotel between the pool and the sea. You can rent the bikes and carts and mobility scooters right outside if you want them. Excellent kids club/animation team. Water carpet every day at 1pm for the kids is great. Water games in the afternoon are fantastic and the lifeguards and animation team are wonderful. Nice looking rooms, clean rooms, clean hotel indoor and outdoor areas. Cleaning staff do a very good job. Massage place is the best massage and reflexology I have ever had. Layout of the whole place is great and well thought out (except for snack bar-see cons!) with everything very centralized compared to some All Inclusives that have pools all over. The 3 pools are together. Excellent new playground which is a bit away from the pools and is quiet-there are loungers over by it that are great if you want some peace-it’s like a hidden spot. Good size big rooms (we had superior sea view 3309 third floor-nice size with fridge and microwave and nice size bathroom 285€ smallish balcony and beautiful view of pool and the sea and beautiful sea waves sound at nice with the doors open. Local beer in the taps is fine (but see cons!). The atmosphere and vibe around the pool is lively but still classy. There is loud music but not overly loud and there are quieter parts. It’s a good place for families and also grandparents and older visitors without kids with activities for adults on the terrace throughout the day…there is a nice balance and they have done very well with the entertainment and overall vibe. Games room and pool tables etc are reasonable and don’t overly rip the kids off. ATM on site. Laundry and gym all handy and well taken care of. Good signage and all very easy to find. Hairdressers and small souvenir shop and a very handu well priced little supermaket for food and water and all sorts of bits is just by the front entrance.Reception is the hub for all things needed which makes things nice and simple. Taxis easily called from reception. Puerto Del Carmen ***** is €5 and 5-10 mins away and taxis turn up out front immediately. Cons: Restaurant is like a big self serve cafeteria with mostly sloppy saucy dishes. We are not big drinkers so didn’t think we would care about the bad reviews of the drinks system-but it’s truly awful. Wine in a paper cup from a push button type machine just feels so icky and not a holiday fresh drink vibe. All the fresh drinks at the bar (vodka and mixer, rum and mixer, mojito etc) were just as bad…everything tastes cheap and chemically. Same taste off the food and even the coffee and ice creams…chemical taste…cheap ingredients? Bad water? Not sure. Beer from the

Superb Family Break” Just come back from a great week at Sol Lanzarote. We upgraded for a Sea View and this was well worth it as the views were stunning! Lovely food each day and the beers/wine/cava were excellent, the plastic cup system is good as saves a lot of wastage and cups hanging around. Entertainment staff in particular worked so hard in the pool and at the kids disco, well done 👍 Thanks for a great stay.

Just arrived and been for lunch. No coffee or tea in the restaurant except breakfast and that's from one small machine for hundreds of people. You have to go to the pool bar and bring it back in, and that's a tiny machine too. No cups or mugs you have to use a glass. No tea or coffee in the room. A kettle and a microwave so old it's yellow The wardrobe has no long hanging space for women's dresses. No iron. Bare whitewashed walls not a picture or a bit of something to make it feel slightly welcoming. I could go on and on with the small detail that you should expect in a 4 star hotel. This is 3 at best. So disappointed, I'm done with all inclusive, especially 4 star hotels they aren't worth it in my opinion. Staff are friendly though, they were very polite when they told me I couldn't have coffee in a restaurant with my lunch. I hope our holiday gets better it's been a poor start

We came to this hotel during the Easter half term. The location of this hotel is excellent, 15mins away from the airport and right on the beach. This meant you could spend the day at the beach and pop back for your drinks and food. Talking about food…. It wasn’t great unfortunately. We would get to the restaurant for the opening times and we found the food to be cold, not luke warm… cold. There was your usual pizza, pasta, chips etc but even the kids food wasn’t that great. It’s such a shame as it looked delicious and we firmly believe if it was hot, it would have been delicious. The restaurant gets extremely loud aswell which I suppose is to be expected. Help yourself drinks available from a few stations within the restaurant. The sangria was lovely!! Now onto the snack bar….. To me, the location of this seemed odd as it’s at the end of the resort where there is a perfectly good ‘hut’ located by the middle pool that wasn’t used? This meant any time you wanted to get a different drink you had to go all the way to the snack bar just to change your cup. The drinks at the snack bar were great - cocktails were lovely…. Just ask for extra alcoholic. Whilst I understand the want for the hotel to be sustainable, the whole tokens system was a bit baffling, when we handed back our tokens when we left we were not asked for our hotel number (so in effect could have taken the cups home), but they charge you €1 to replace your cup if you lose it or your token. There were always plenty of cups around so it just seems to me it was to make money. Talking about “sustainability”… I completely get it and commend the hotel for trying. But to point blank refuse to put the air conditioning on when the temperatures are reaching very high 20’s is unacceptable. The rooms are stuffy which made sleeping (or lack of) very uncomfortable. We were given one fan, which did absolutely nothing and even that was very noisy so you couldn’t leave it on. The staff here are absolutely amazing, everyone. The maids, reception, bar staff, animation team - all excellent. There seems to be three seperate animation teams but they all do the same thing? It’s a bit odd. Over all, we unfortunately wouldn’t return based on the food.

We have just returned from another wonderful 7 day break at the Sol Lanzarote, my wife and I have been holidaying in this hotel for many years. Hotel keeps on improving, reception staff are friendly with a welcoming smile, nothing seems to be any trouble to them easy quick check-in. We asked for a room with a sea view and it was worth the extra money to upgrade, you will remember these views forever. Hotel management have in proved the paper cup system of serving drinks, system now is that they are served in plastic beakers which are larger and stronger than the paper cups which were not fit for purpose. Obviously the weather helped as it sunshine every day of our stay, rooms are spotless cleaned very day and the bed linen change mid week. Evening entertainment was at a good standard and varied for all ages. Food was exceptional, varied to suit most peoples pallets and yes it was served hot, plenty of fruit and ice cream etc. Staff across all disciplines i.e. bar, cleaning, pool guys. entertainment, gardeners were friendly and helpful. Ones we talked too clearly enjoyed working at the Sol Lanzarote as they have been there since we started staying going back in the 1990s When on holiday we try to see the positives and there are lots to find at this hotel. Please do not believe the negatives that people write about the Sol, if you really want to see negatives walk 200meters down the promenade and visit the Hotel Beatriz you will see plenty of negatives there. We will return back in November 2024 for another lovely stay in the Sol Lanzarote.

Oh dear, we came here about 12 years in a row with our children and thought we would pay a visit now. What on earth has happened, tatty, dirty, smelly toilets, p Sunbeds squashed like sardines. I wouldn't give it 1 star now, it needs millions spending on it.

Stayed here April 24 1. Upgraded to Seaview family room lovely views big double bed everything you would need. 2. All inclusive hotel food was great plenty of variety for all nationalities breakfast lunch, dinner, drinks and snack bar open all day well worth it. 3.Staff helpful and friendly. 4.Entertainment for kids at the pool entertainment for kids and adults every night and it is to be complimented. 5.Rooms cleaned everyday fresh towels. Observed pool deck being cleaned every morning and pool being vacuumed. 6. You can hear the sea from your room and the hotel sits just off the sandy beach. 7. You can rent bikes and cycle the beautiful pathway towards the Airport or puerto del carmen 3km away. 2 minor negatives 1. The hotel needs a lick of paint 2. The practice of putting towels down early in the morning should be discontinued. It's not fair to put a towel down at 8am and come down at 1pm taking the space up all morning. Overall lovely stay and will return.
