AluaSoul Orotava Valley - Adults Only

Just returned from this hotel. Staff are lovely and friendly and welcoming from the time you walk in. The hotel is very clean and the food good. We had a suite which consisted of the bedroom and a living area, Very large and well laid out. The pool was so clean and heated. No issues getting a sun bed at all. People respected the rules and did not put their towels on to save the beds. A refreshing change. All the staff from were friendly and always said hello. The downside is the hill, it's about a 25 minute walk to the old town, which is fine, coming back up is a bit of a struggle as it is so steep. There are cabs you can get from town though for 5 euro a trip. Very relaxing holiday. Many thanks.

I really enjoyed my stay. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of dishes. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful.

I am satisfied very much. Two rooms apartment with balcony and ocean view exceeded my expectations - the good base for relax. The localization - the ideal for me. Not in the noisy center with great space around (view from balcony). Walking distance to city center, old part with colorful streets and little houses. Everywhere the green, trees, flowers as well as cactuses at Playa Jardin etc. The return walk to the hotel up to very mild hill- great ! I didn’t need additional gym. I spent wonderful time actively, far from any troubles. Alua Orotava valley hotel gives the opportunity to have a great time for relax

We've just returned from a great week at AluaSoul. The accommodation, staff, facilities and food were all top notch, well above the standard we were expecting for the price paid. We did both find the beds quite hard but other than that no issues at all and we would stay here again. The resort is very nice and worth leaving the hotel for some sight seeing. The Hotel is on a hill but we walked from the hotel to the beach, local dive shop, botanical gardens and to loro park without any issues. All in all a perfect relaxing break

We stayed here for 5 days celebrating our anniversary whilst there, the room was huge 3 rooms a lounge bedroom and bathroom with a balcony all very clean maids do a fabulous job, bed two singles as it usually is were very firm but comfortable and extra pillows provided if requested, free safe in the wardrobe plenty of hanging space and draws not loads of hangers, sofa tele table and chair long mirror and fridge in the lounge double wardrobe with draws and a safe, single wardrobe with draws, beds, luggage shelf, two bedside units and a table and chair in the bedroom, bathroom had a large walk in shower vanity with sink plenty of shelf space and a hairdryer and magnifying mirror and toilet. Hand soap dispenser for sink, shower gel and shampoo in the shower.We stayed in a my favourites room all inclusive but perks were minimal. A stocked fridge 2 zero san Miquel, 2 san Miquel, 2 coke, 2 Fanta orange 2 water. A bottle of cava on the table and a large bottle of water. You could get more beer water and pop from the my favourites lounge( but there was no spirits or wine in the lounge as we’ve had in other hotels). We asked for an ice bucket on our anniversary to chill the cava that was in the room as unless you emptied the fridge it wouldn’t fit, they sent a bottle of pink cava as an anniversary gift which was lovely , only when we checked out they charged us €5 to bring the ice. Never had a problem getting a sunbed and always seemed to be some available. Although might be harder later in the season as the size of the hotel and the pool area didn’t seem to mesh. It wasn’t the biggest pool and for an adults only hotel very shallow for quite a bit of it. We hired towels €10 each deposit you pay at reception get a card to give to lifeguard to get towels and visa versa for returning. Food was we found the usual all inclusive not the best not the worst always found something and constantly getting topped up. Food at the snack bar was nice I enjoyed the chicken wraps but make sure you order in plenty time closes at 1 pm reopens at 3 I went at 1 pm one day not realising and couldn’t get served had to go to the restaurant. As I’ve said hotel is large and strange layout because it’s on a hill. You enter at the front of the hotel on floor 7 were there is a bar and lounge for evening entertainment long long corridors, restaurant is on floor 6 under the bar and lounge area as is the gym and my favourites lounge. Pool is at the other end of the hotel on floor 4 and a smaller pool and lounging area on floor 3. There is a couple of lifts by reception to go up or down and a lift that goes from floor 4 -6 I think at the other end otherwise it’s stairs. Toilets for the pool area are on floor 3 there is a lift by the pool. that’s also where the shower is if you have a late check out and don’t want to pay €40 to keep your room there are no other facilities to have a wash and get changed. Breakfast is served from 7-10 lunch 1-3 and dinner 7-9. Snacks at the pool bar 1

Hotel bedroom great layout comfortable bed and nice and clean. Pool area not cramped plenty of sun beds and area very clean. I would go back to this hotel but only on a B&B basis as I didn’t think the AI was value for money for me personally. Hotel perfectly situated to walk into the main town which we did everyday also near to the local bus station to get transport into Santa Cruz and further down the coast. Good experience overall hotel staff fantastic and very accommodating.
