Hotel Marquesa

The staff at reception first of all does not speak English. My door key didn't work 4 times had to be changed until they gave me another room. The breakfast was awful. Cold and no choice. The shower was a hose over the bath. Furniture was so old and dated.. Horrible place

Old charm, great value, spot on location. Cannot fault for value, OK, some negatives but, on the whole, these were outweighed by the positives. We would recommend and stay again. - Yes, the room is very dated, no working air-con, stifling hot at times (but ours was at the front, in full sun), lumpy pillows. Breakfast buffet mixed, but again, for the price, good value. We stuck to the hot eggs and bread or cheese and pastries. + Location was perfect! Just off the main road, so easy to walk from the coach drop off, but in the pedestrianised old town. Stunning views of the church, square, town and Teide from our balcony. The restaurant terrace is a great spot for people watching and listening to some of the very talented buskers playing on the steps opposite. Bar prices were reasonable too. The old part of the hotel is beautiful, make sure you pop upstairs and see the rooms at the front and the old photos around the balcony! The roof terrace pool area was an oasis of cool and quiet, again with great views. Please don't be put off by the bad reviews, go with an open mind and realistic expectations for what you are paying. This is a hotel for 'travellers' who want to experience the old town charms and be within easy walking of a plethora of great restaurants and bars. Not for holidaymakers who want to sit around the pool and be 'entertained' all day. We travelled with Easyjet holidays and this was the cheapest option on offer in Tenerife, you really would not be able to stay for 3 nights in the UK for the price of a week here and we are so glad we were not staying in some high rise, charecterless 'resort'.

Terrible . Booked for a week B&B water leaking in reception, breakfast area! Around food, very old hotel.. in need of full renovation to be a three star! Staff unhelpful and of no assistance. Would not recommend to anyone. Paid over €600 to stay here and couldn’t eat the breakfast as it didn’t feel sanitary around the leakage in the roof. No pool as advertised. Pictures show what we found was the pool! We didn’t get any warning in advance of our stay, that no pool facilities existed !! Never again

Really liked this hotel, comfy beds, nice room, (although the air con could do with a tweak) but it was hot weather . The view from the balcony overlooking the church and square was so nice, and the vista beyond was pretty impressive ,also,the bells were great, didn't bother us at all. Staff were really nice,had a warm welcome despite it being a 3 am arrival. Have booked the Marquesa to return in March 2025, was our first time visiting Puerto de la Cruz and already looking forward to return.

The hotel is perfect it exceeded our expectations and we felt so welcomed. The bells would be the only downside sometimes ringing for 5 mins straight but it’s not that big of a deal tbh. We had breakfast included and it was a range of cooked, cereal, bread, meats and cheeses and yogurt too, nothing to complain about. The rooms were clean and comfortable the beds comfy too. We loved our balcony it was perfect. Apart from the last hour of our stay, where we upset the receptionist with miss communication and poor awareness, were very sorry about that! It was a genuine mistake. apart from that we loved it! thank you so much.

Hotel for an old one was fine, very picturesque and interesting architecture in the central square. Lots of restaurants and beaches nearby. Lovely town to explore and buses are cheap and offer a very good service to other places. The only thing letting this hotel down, in my opinion is the breakfast. Same daily choices, cold cooked breakfast, processed cheese and meat, coffee not good at all and juice was more like squash. Nice churros and bread rolls, jam was cheap pre packed portions, butter and honey ok.
