Having booked before I read some of the reviews ( from 2017/2018) I was a bit concerned. However the more recent reviews seemed better so I was hopeful. My view was that the Hotel was great. The staff were friendly and most spoke more than enough English for good communication to be possible. No denying that the majority of guests were German so this was what was spoken most, alongside Spanish, but no issues at all. The hotel was very clean and well managed ( cleaners came every day but honoured the 'do not disturb' signs if you didnt want their service). Food at breakfast and dinner was plentiful and reasonably varied though after 10 days the choices at dinner started to be a bit "samey". Breakfast had choice of cereal, fruit, yogurt, bread, pastries plus cooked eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes. More than enough. Agree with others that the juice was probably juice drink not pure, but not undrinkable. I took my own coffee because I dont like any coffee from vending machines but I did have one coffee from the machine and it was fine. Plenty of normal tea/ herbal teas etc that could be made up oneself. With regard to dinner- always soup of some kind. Plenty of salad as its own course or to go with main course - always some sort of fish (normally white); a meat dish or two plus pasta and a sauce; various types of potato; big variety of puddings and fruit and cheese too if you have any room. There was always a decent amount of veg too but over-boiled in my view. Not everything had a familiar taste but what is the point of eating what you would eat at home. Plain tap water was not available at dinner but bottled water, wine, beer and many other offerings on wine list were, so complaints one couldnt have anything to drink are wrong or at least outdated. Pool was lovely and kept very clean ( on our last day it was being "hoovered"). Plenty of loungers for the number of people needing them, plus seats and tables some near the hotel reception and some near pool side bar. We asked for a quiet room and while there was no guarantees, we got one ( 302). Small balcony that the sun reached in late afternoon. Mattress maybe a little hard for my back but not uncomfortable and we both slept well despite us both having various aches and pains. Away from the hotel it was a shame that the pollution has caused many of the main beaches to discourage swimming, though most of the beaches open to sunbathe. We enjoyed the walk along the beach towards Loro Park every second day and to the old town on the other alternate day. Carnival was on while we were there but most activity started too late for us to want to attend. However we had always planned a quiet break so were quite happy with this. All in all we enjoyed our time very much and would happily return.

This is a really nice small and quiet hotel. Professional friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms and decent (if not great) but varied food. The location of the hotel is good, walking distance to beaches and the old town and there is a nice pool. It is a refreshing change from large "industrial " hotels.

The people at the reception (especially Tomaso) are attentive in their explanations and accompany us to our room. They answered in French to our expectations of information on the city, the excursions. The meals are of excellent quality. Our room had 2 terraces and was very well soundproofed. The calm reigns and the swimming pool is a good size. The atmosphere is cozy. We found our marks quickly. Barely 10 minutes from the lively square of Charcos and barely 5 minutes from the bus station and a taxi rank. We lived without a car, and an excellent stay. Your attentive management is our guarantee of a high quality hotel.

They charge you for water with the included dinner, when the food runs out half an hour before 9:00 p.m. they don't refill it and you eat "whatever there is" as the waitress told us. Just a place to sleep. Don't book with breakfast, lunch and dinner, they will remember me.

The hotel is decent and close to everything in Pto. La Cruz. If you book with dinner included you will be disappointed, they charge you for the drink and half an hour before you eat what is left, they do not refill it and they tell you "it is what there is" hotel to sleep only. Do not book breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are not up to par. We will not return.

We (6 people) spent 10 days in this hotel. It is well located and contrary to what is announced in other comments, there is a huge parking lot 4 minutes walk from the beach. The hotel is very clean, all the staff serious and efficient. We ate well it is not gourmet but it is good. The breakfast is just as good. In our eyes, 2 things need to be improved: 1) The morning coffee (surely the worst in the galaxy), but that of the pool is excellent but paid. 2) The paid drinks during the meal ... A 1/4 of wine, a pitcher of water or a beer included per person would really be more. In the end, a hotel with a very good quality / price ratio to which we will return.

As a single traveler I was assigned room 208, incredibly small and a view of a broken wall in front and a roof full of pigeon **** on the right. No room change possible but as an answer from the reception I was told that they themselves also found it terrible!!!!! Food (half board) was also not tasty and every day the same cooked fish and chicken stew. The swimming pool was small and the beds there sagged. The hotel guests are mostly elderly Germans Never again Don Malito.

The hotel is located in the west of Puerto de la Cruz, very close to LoroParque and only a few minutes' walk from the bus station and the Plaza del Charco (west of the centre). The booked room was on the 3rd floor of the main building and had a sea view - but you also look directly at a private backyard with a dovecote (in addition to the pigeons, the owners also have a parrot that needs to be communicated and dogs that are quite happy to bark) - it is also nearby a soccer field in sight/hearing distance, which is sometimes used very actively until late in the evening, is therefore nothing for those who are rather sensitive to noise. The room itself was clean/well-kept and had minimal equipment: only 2 sockets (bathroom/desk), no chair with an armrest (only on the balcony), no wardrobe, etc. - you never really knew where to put your stuff. The breakfast was super simple (at most hostel level) - and rather nothing for people who value a healthy/balanced diet (hardly any fruit/vegetables, almost no whole grain products, very simple muesli, only sweetened yoghurt, juices were made from much too sweet concentrate and tasted extremely artificial). Dinner: 1x fish/meat each (changing selection), plus mostly salted Canarian potatoes (rarely rice) plus another vegetable side dish (very carrot/brussels sprouts-heavy, you have to like it), fries, soup, simple salad buffet, alternating pizza and paella/risotto (usually leftovers from the day before are used for this). Small selection of desserts. However, if you want to be spoiled with culinary delights, trust the many reviews and eat out better. There are really a lot of highly recommended restaurants/cafes within walking distance! Staff mostly very friendly and courteous, at the reception a bit more fluent English would sometimes be desirable. Shops, laundry etc. very close by. All in all, a great starting point for excursions in the near and distant surroundings!
