Hotel Don Manolito

The hotel is located in the west of Puerto de la Cruz, very close to LoroParque and only a few minutes' walk from the bus station and the Plaza del Charco (west of the centre). The booked room was on the 3rd floor of the main building and had a sea view - but you also look directly at a private backyard with a dovecote (in addition to the pigeons, the owners also have a parrot that needs to be communicated and dogs that are quite happy to bark) - it is also nearby a soccer field in sight/hearing distance, which is sometimes used very actively until late in the evening, is therefore nothing for those who are rather sensitive to noise. The room itself was clean/well-kept and had minimal equipment: only 2 sockets (bathroom/desk), no chair with an armrest (only on the balcony), no wardrobe, etc. - you never really knew where to put your stuff. The breakfast was super simple (at most hostel level) - and rather nothing for people who value a healthy/balanced diet (hardly any fruit/vegetables, almost no whole grain products, very simple muesli, only sweetened yoghurt, juices were made from much too sweet concentrate and tasted extremely artificial). Dinner: 1x fish/meat each (changing selection), plus mostly salted Canarian potatoes (rarely rice) plus another vegetable side dish (very carrot/brussels sprouts-heavy, you have to like it), fries, soup, simple salad buffet, alternating pizza and paella/risotto (usually leftovers from the day before are used for this). Small selection of desserts. However, if you want to be spoiled with culinary delights, trust the many reviews and eat out better. There are really a lot of highly recommended restaurants/cafes within walking distance! Staff mostly very friendly and courteous, at the reception a bit more fluent English would sometimes be desirable. Shops, laundry etc. very close by. All in all, a great starting point for excursions in the near and distant surroundings!

We have spent 7 days in this Hotel and our feeling is that our stay could not have been better, due to its location, cleanliness, quality of food, access if you go by bus, the bus stop is very close and so central! Thank you to all those who work at the Hotel for having made this vacation so pleasant

We have never experienced such an incident. On Saturday 03/12 we were about to sit down for dinner and the buffet waiter raised his voice that we couldn't be at that table, that it had to be at another... The people who were having dinner in the dining room stared at us . What a shame! ..... We could not have dinner because of the bad body that we had left. We expressed our great discomfort and despite the fact that he reluctantly apologized, we raised the complaint with reception. We are waiting for the hotel management to call us... I will not go there again, even if the GP prescribes it. My goodness!

El hotel esta decente y cerca de todo en pto. La cruz. Si reservan con cena incluida se van a llevar una decepcxion, te cobran la bebida y faltando media hora ya comes lo que quede, no reponen mas y te dice "es lo q hay" hotel para dormir solo. No reserven desayuno,almuerzo y cena. No dan la talla. No volveremos

Nous (6 personnes) avons passé 10 jours dans cet hôtel. Il est bien situé et contrairement à ce qui est annoncé dans d'autres commentaires, il y a un énorme parking à 4 minutes à pieds prêt de la plage. L'hôtel est très propre, l'ensemble du personnel sérieux et efficace. Nous avons bien mangé ce n'est pas gastronomique mais c'est bon. Le petit déjeuner est tout aussi bon. A nos yeux, 2 choses sont à améliorer: 1) Le café du matin (surement le moins bon de la galaxie), mais celui de la piscine est excellent mais payant. 2) Les boissons payantes pendant le repas...Un 1/4 de vin, un pichet d'eau ou une bière inclus par personne serait vraiment plus. Au final, un hôtel au rapport qualité/prix très correct dans lequel nous retournerons.
