Positives Good location, close to shops, bars, and restaurants. There are two different types of pillows on the bed. There is a fridge to store drinks, etc. The shower head was detachable in the bathroom. The lighting in the room was good. The rooms are cleaned daily, but the standard of cleanliness depends on who cleaned your room. There are plenty of plugs, but it would be nice to have USB sockets for charging equipment. The majority of the staff were lovely. Negatives Only two out of three lifts work, which causes a long wait during busy times. The lift is also not level with the floor and is a tripping hazard. The rooms are a bit dated. The beds are too hard. They need some memory foam toppers. There's no kettle in the room. Sun loungers are very uncomfortable. The plastic digs into your back. They need cushion covers on them. The pool is small and freezing cold. If you have a direct sea view, you will get noise from the Anderson bar until the early hours of the morning. Don't leave any unsealed food out in the room. We brought some pizza back from a restaurant, and it was full of weevils the next day. We saw a similar thing with a neighbour's cake left outside the door. This makes me think the hotel rooms are a bit unhygienic to have critters in the rooms. There is not enough storage in the rooms. The furniture is open glass shelving, which looks horrible and is dangerous, in my opinion. The gym is small, and the equipment is old. The elliptical trainer handles were dirty, so I don't think the equipment is routinely cleaned. The air conditioning did not work in our room; however, we didn't require it during our stay. It might be an issue during the summer. Food is okay for a buffet restaurant, but the bread and pastries are stale. There are not many vegetarian or vegan opinions. If you have these dietary requirements I would recommend booking on a room only basis. The soft drinks are OK, but the house wine and beer were not to my liking. I would not recommend this hotel if you have children because they will be bored, there's nothing for them to do. If you get a reasonable deal, then the hotel is perfectly acceptable to use as a base to explore puerto de la cruz.

The location of the hotel is in a good area if you don’t care much for extreme activities except for sunbathing and swimming. There are loads of shops and food places nearby, including across the street. Most days I went to Lago Martiánez (huge pool), it was only an 8m walk and €8 for adult ticket. Additionally, the Loro Parque (zoo) is easily accessible by taking a free express train from Plaza Reyes Católicos, 5m walk away. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and helpful. There was also a good selection of food at the buffet meals. I was on the 8th floor, and the quality of the room wasn’t too bad. Balcony was nice to relax outside, plenty of counter area to place items, and the bathroom is spacious. However, the cleanliness of the room was disappointing. The bathroom bin was not emptied when I arrived. There were some shoe prints on the ceiling, and ants crawling around the room, particularly the counter areas. I am not sure if this is common in Tenerife, as this is my first time, but it wasn’t pleasant. The wifi also isn’t great, could just be the floor level though. Overall, the hotel isn’t bad, especially for the location.

Positives: - Great location. Central to town and supermarket opposite. - Beds were lovely. - Maid came daily and made bed, gave clean towels. - Staff (Niko) was lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. Negatives: - Some staff were rude and didn’t have the time of day (older woman with short grey hair especially). - Cockroaches in one coffee machine. - Majority of food inedible. Especially meat. Cooked on the outside pink on the inside (chicken). - Patio doors stiff. Sink blocked. - Pool didn’t open until 10am, drinks didn’t open until 10.30am. - Pool in desperate need of maintenance, lost tiles everyday.

Nice hotel in good location near the sea front. Hotel a little dated in places but clean and friendly staff. Pool area very nice, again pool a bit small when lots of people in but no real issues. All inclusive pool bar very good. Meals were ok. Nothing amazing, but lots of choice. Daughter loved the puddings and ice creams!!! Staff very friendly and always had good information where to go and what to do
