This is lovely hotel. This is our 3rd visit. Sadly, it is spoilt by adjacent building work. Rooms looking over the park will see builders and cranes working from 8 till 6. Its a shame it was such a peacefull hotel. Nothing the owners can do, maybe alert visitors when they book

The hotel is very clean and set in a beautiful garden with a good sized pool. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The family who run the hotel ensure that standards are maintained . We were particularly impressed with the assistance given to older guests . The variety of foods on offer at breakfast were impressive and no matter what time you ate there was still plenty to choose from. The hotel is situated on top of a hill with lots of steps which did keep us fit !

A week at the family run Tigaiga Hotel was not long enough - we enjoyed every minute. The staff were friendly and efficient, the hotel clean and very well presented, the breakfast and evening meal excellent and the grounds and pool area a real delight. It was lovely to pull back the curtains in the morning to see Mt Teide rising from the clouds and views along the coast. Immediately outside the hotel is Parque Taora with numerous tropical trees and vegetation and the delightful stone built All Saints Church. The building site nearby (mentioned by others) did not impose although we spent little time by the pool. We found the environment to be very quiet and relaxing. Access down (and back up) to the old town of Puerto de la Cruz and the sea front is via numerous steps and slopes but we didn't find it a problem (we are in our early 70's) although a reasonable level of fitness is advised. We walked along the coast to the viewpoint at Mirador St Pedro (13 miles return) and up to La Orotava (10 miles return) - both well worth a visit but do involve some steep sections. We hope to return next year.

This is an amazing hotel. Very clean, quiet and with beautiful gardens. The staff are very friendly. Rooms are lovely too (with no noise from next door rooms or corridor). Breakfast was great with loads of choice. The location is great as well away from the noisy town but only 15 min walk (steep hills though).

My 6th stay in this lovely hotel. This time I was alone and wondering if I had made the right decision to go back to somewhere with so many happy memories of my late husband. However, it was absolutely the right thing to do. The hotel is so welcoming and friendly, most of the staff are the same as on previous visits. It felt like a home from home. The rooms are very comfortable, the gardens are beautiful and there are amazing views of the sea and Mount Teide. I really hope I'll be able to go back again next winter.

We totally loved the Hotel Tigaiga. On our arrival we where asked if it was okay that we could wait a while because our room wasn't quite ready and given a drink while we waited. Then the lovely receptionist came across and said your room is ready and just to let you know we have upgraded you. Well, had they, we had been upgraded to a suite on the fourth floor, my husband and I just cried. See we where there for our 30th Wedding anniversary, which on our booking was asked if we had any special occasions also with my husband just getting over prostrate cancer all of this was a dream. When we went into the first room two beautiful armchairs with footstalls then in the middle a table with gorgeous flowers, an ice bucket with bubbly in and a card with the most heartwarming words in. We had two bathrooms, huge bedroom and a terrace that went the length of the rooms, with two sets of patio doors, oh how we felt spoilt. The staff are all very good at what they do, pleasant and helpful, food, drinks and entertainment brilliant.The hotel is fantastic, true to all its pictures, we will definitely be going back. Also the owners and management greet you everyday, makes you feel so welcome and well looked after.

This is a nice hotel. Everything looks fresh and clean. It’s family owned and run which is getting rarer these days. There is a lovely pool area with great views. Views from the rooms are good too. The hotel is on a hill looking out over the sea and town with the Teide mountain in the background. It’s a 15 minute walk into town, quite steep but we enjoyed it. We didn’t eat at the hotel apart from breakfast which was very good. Restaurants are plentiful but of varying quality. If you want to eat at one of the better ones you should consider booking in advance, the hotel are happy to help. Parking on site for a 7 Euro charge per night. Think there is also free parking nearby.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ! Staff is lovely and caring and happy to help ! I didnt even tell them my birthday but they must of seen on my passport my birthday was the next day , I came back after a lovely day out and they left a lovely written card and a little gift in my room wishing me happy birthday! Honestly I will be coming back here every year and the hotel location is brilliant and hotel is lovely and quite but only around the corner from the *****
