Whoever manages this property deserves serious kudos for their impeccable hiring. Claudia, Jose, and Carolina were nothing short of phenomenal—welcoming, attentive, and consistently a step ahead of our needs. Just minutes from the buzz of Puerto Ayora, this serene, beautifully maintained building felt like a hidden gem. Despite the island’s reputation for rustic charm, this boutique hotel rivaled the service and polish of a 5-star stay in any major city. We were impressed from start to finish: packed lunches ready for our early excursions, personalized breakfasts on slower mornings, and spot-on local recommendations that enhanced our entire trip. In most places, there’s usually one staff member who falls short—but not here. The whole team ran so smoothly, we felt genuinely taken care of in every moment. Another guest was feeling ill and we literally saw the staff get them meds and even translated the instructions and offered them soup from a batch place. If you’re heading to the Galápagos and want comfort without compromise, this is the place.

Small but perfect boutique hotel. We were checked din by Jose Miguel who was very helpful and who I had dialogue with through watsapp before we arrived as our flight was a bit late. After check in we were shown. to room 303. There is a balcony at the from to the room which has views over the sea. There is a new building being constructed in front of the hotel so this view may be lost. No lift so you will need to carry your bags up. There is a simple healthy breakfast in the morning, with eggs made to order. They will also pep rare a packed breakfast to take away if you have an early start. Breakfast is available from 6.00am. Reception is maned till 10.00pm and so if you return after 10.00pm you are given a code to get in. There is also an emergency contact if u need to call. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. The bathroom had a walk in shower. There is a small fridge but no coffee making facilities. There is coffee, tea and water available at the restaurant area 24 hours. Water saving procedures in the bathrooms like the rest of the island. There is also a nice lounge area on the first floor. The ground floor rooms open directly onto the pool area. We didn't have any issues with noise. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is less than a minute walk from Charles Darwin Ave along the sea shore. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Charles Darwin Research Centre and the same to the harbour. There are plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops near to the hotel. Our favourites were Al Mar and Isla Grill (you can get a discount voucher from the. hotel for here). Like most of the hotels on the islands they are built on the plot of a house so they are naturally small but it makes them more personal. This hotel is perfect for a stay In Puerto Ayora.

Beautiful modern small hotel with attentive staff, super clean rooms and a great shower. The hotel is close to all the main attractions and the staff have great recommendations on where to eat and what to do. We arrived off the morning ferry and the team bent over backwards to get us a room early so that we could freshen up and get on with our day. Thanks Claudia for making our stay so memorable.

The hotel is very well located to the town centre and seafront, but not so close that you step out into a crowd the moment you leave. The rooms were fantastic. In particular, all the staff were incredibly nice and accomodating. Jose deserves a special mention - he was just a very friendly and helpful guy, very much a credit to the hotel.

Hotel Acacia in Puerto Ayora turned out to be the perfect choice for our Santa Cruz Island stay. Nestled in an unbeatable location near the waterfront, you're just minutes from everything - which really matters after a long day of exploring. Our room offered lovely harbor views, and there's something special about watching the boats come and go while planning your next adventure. What really makes this place shine is the staff - they're the real deal. From the moment we arrived, their genuine warmth and local knowledge made all the difference. Need an early start? No problem - they'll have a breakfast bag ready for those 6 AM tour departures (trust me, this is a game-changer when you're half awake and rushing to catch a boat). The rooms are comfortable, clean, providing a welcoming retreat after days filled with exploration. The breakfast service is personal and delicious, offering a great start to each day. Hotel Acacia's combination of an ideal location, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding hospitality makes it a standout choice for anyone visiting Santa Cruz Island.

amazing ♡ the staff was so nice, service over the top! they bought vegan meals for my breakfast and even made me a vegan birthday cake ♡ the room was nice & clean, the bed was very comfortable, warm water. staff is amazing, help with every question and have so much tips for your stay to make sure you have the best holiday. Just 5 to 10 min walk to Darwin Center, a few min to the fish market (check it out, its amazing in the morning with all the pelicans and sea lions who beg for food there), lots of restaurants bars and shops. hope I can come back one day and will definitely stay there again!!

We’ve just had a 5 night stay here at this adorable hotel . The staff from reception, kitchen and cleaning so friendly and can’t do enough for you . We need anything , information regarding excursions they knew or knew someone who could help ! The room was lovely and had a view of the sea and boats . Breakfast was brought to the table , and when on excursions you tell them the night before they do a take away breakfast bag for you . Ideal as sometimes we needed to be out by 6am ! The trip was for our wedding anniversary so they upgraded our room for the last night there and it was amazing and a lovely surprise ! We felt very cared and loved by the staff indeed so a massive thank you ☺️! Special thanks to Jose , Edison , Claudia Carolina and house keeping staff . Also give a mention to Sophia who sorted out our excursions too . She doesn’t work at the hotel but she was recommended to help us from Carolina . Keep up the hard work guys you made our trip even more memorable Love Sangeeta & Vinod Mistry UK
