We just spent 4 nights here- the staff are so wonderful, they make up for any western-standard-short-falls. Although the hotel is a bit tired, it’s well cared for, very clean, and again, the staff, Cathy, and the other women who seemed to do all aspects of work here, are so kind and helpful. They made our stay perfect.

This hotel is a budget hotel with just the basics. plus a third floor pool. The rooms are adequate, and clean. The shower never got more than tepid. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The hotel doors close at 2000 Hrs and if you needed help, there was a contact number that was manned 24/7. You were given a fob to access the hotel if you are out after hours. Make sure that they demonstrate where to exactly place the fob. A couple got stuck outside the hotel for a couple of minutes. The breakfast was advertised as continental, but there was also scrambled eggs, juice, toast, coffee, tea, chocolate, sausage, etc. The hotel is located next door to an industrial parking lot and solar farm. Our room overlooked the container storage area, but this did not bother us much. We did not come to the Galapagos to sit in our hotel room. The great thing about this hotel is the proximity to the downtown and the piers, where a lot of wildlife and birds can be seen. We saw sea turtles, sharks, small manta rays, seals, and a good number of bird species. This town is very safe. We did not see one fight, altercation or any 'street drama'. We also saw very few people smoking. There are many Hostels in this town, that young travelers use, instead of hotels. We would stay here again, as it is in a good location, the town is very safe, and is good value for the money.

Terrible location that is across from a factory which generated noise 24 hours. Construction all around and semi trucks run along side the hotel. No views of anything but industry and construction. The rooms were very small with no place to sit except the bed. No desk, no table, almost no room to move. Suitcase had to be placed on a shelf that was 'open closet'. Location is over a mile to town/main dock. As poor as the location is, the staff was AMAZING. They were responsive and helpful with the limited services they were able to provide. I cannot recommend this hotel but the staff made our stay tolerable.

This is probably the worse located hotel on the island as it’s right on the outskirts and our room overlooked a lorry / scrap metal park on one side and petrol station on the other so our blinds were always down. We don’t mind walking so the distance (about a 20 min walk) to the pier was ok for us. Room was massive and nice and clean and I’ve read some reviews about no safes but our room had one. The wi-fi is poor but you can always get it somewhere on the island. The staff are lovely and a credit to the hotel. They also offered a really cheap laundry service which we used.

My partner and I spent 4 nights at this Hotel as part of an Exotica tour of Ecuador. It was by far the worst Hotel we stayed in during our trip. Firstly, the Hotel is poorly located adjacent o an industrial yard and next door to a scrap metal yard it is also over 20 minutes walk to town centre. On arrival we were shown to a large room on the N side of building however as the hotel is only approx 300m from a diesel electrical generating plant the noise was incessant all night. The next morning we asked to shown to a room on S side of hotel and chose a smaller room where you could not hear the noise. However this side of the building overlooked local residents houses who all seemed to keep large numbers of dogs who barked and howled at night.Another group member also asked to be moved and suffered the same fate The breakfast offer was a single piece of fruit ( more often water melon) followed by scrambled egg with sweet pancakes or some plie of corn or grain, the croissants were good though. No juice offered until last morning when more residents were present. The promised room wifi was not existent and the hot tub had no water in it. The general decor of our room and hotel is run down. Despite this Cati at the Reception was charming and did all she could to overcome the inadequacies of her work place.

I visited Galapagos with a group of friends. The hotel is modern and the pool zone has an amazing view of the island. The staff was kind and help us a lot recommending places to visit in Santa Cruz and coordinating taxis for us to visit the town. The rooms were always clean. Highly recommended!

Great service and good price-quality balance made the room comfortable and clean (which is really important for me). Good location and the people were really friendly. I will recommend it to my friend and family visiting this incredible destination.

I will start of by saying that the location of the hotel is terrible. It is almost a mile walk to the harbor where EVERYTHING is. They say “taxis are only $1.50.” Yes they are but when you pay $1.50 to go to and from the hotel a few times a day, it adds up. ALSO, because the hotel is on the edge of town, no taxis go up that far so you have to have the front desk call you one and hope they show up. (One time no taxi came). Next is a big one. There are NO safes in the rooms. In a destination where EVERYTHING is cash only, you have to carry all your cash with you. So we had to walk around town with a few hundred dollars in our pockets because there was no safe. They offer a small “safe box” at the front desk but you share that with others and if no one is at the front desk, you cannot access your things that are locked up. There is no bottled water in the rooms in a place where the tap water is non-potable. The WiFi is SOOOO SLOW that it is unusable. I couldn’t even open 1 email. Not 1. I will say that the staff was very nice though. Breakfast was good as well. Outside of that, this place leaves a LOT to be desired and I would not/ could not recommend staying here.
