My family and I visited the beach club during our stay in the PA community and had a very disappointing experience. Despite paying 50 USD per person just to enter, we were not welcomed warmly. When my uncle requested 2 towels, staff claimed they had none at all, after he insisted he would pay, Oscar magically appears a few minutes later with towels & a poor excuse. At the pool bar, we felt watched and uncomfortable, despite likely being the highest-spending group that day. Our server promised us complimentary shots before we closed out with him (his shift was ending) but returned with water instead, we saw the kitchen crew laughing once we noticed. To make matters worse, my card was charged twice once without authorization and they added a 25% fee after presenting the initial total. I noticed this as I paid & called it out. We left feeling scammed, unwelcome & disrespected after spending over $800. Do better !

Music is loud and radiates down the beach. Before the remodel and new management, it was a place to enjoy and relax on the beach. Now you can't hear yourself think as the thumping noise drowns out the beautiful sound of the ocean. If you like vacationing at a disco bar that plays loud music everyday from 8am to 10pm then the beach at PA is for you. Note if you plan to rent next door at Chac Al Hal, you will hear the pounding of the bass as you can't escape it if you try. The beaches at PA used to be a special place to relax and rejuvenate now it is a want to be Playa Del Carmen.

Puerto Aventuras shouldn't be able to restrict beach access. The beaches in Mexico are public and open to EVERYONE. It is illegal and just plain wrong. I actually cannot believe they are getting away with this. This establishment will be hurting for money soon...as people will stop going.

Was casually strolling on the beach with my friend and decided to walk in from the beach entrance to enjoy a beer, as soon as as we sat down we were bombarded with should have walked in through front desk, entrance from the beach to outsiders is prohibited. Minimum consumption of 350 pesos, etc… while mind you, there’s no signage anywhere saying this is the case. On top, we were asked to wear paper bracelets (WASTE) just because we wanted to chillax while having a drink…. All this because “new management, new rules” So if you decide to have a little something, be aware, DO NOT COME IN FROM THE BEACH SIDE, unless you like being harassed and feel like you just committed a felony. We decided to stay and consume as per their rules, how are you to consume what they ask if no beers are available, we ordered ceviche and now turns out no fish was brought in today, I mean, really????

The pool is full of tree branches and leaves 4 days after the hurricane: they just dont give a shait about it because it is not high season… so no many tips for the staff And there are 10 meter squared of sargasso plant that stink like rotten eggs right in front of the beach and at the bottom of the restaurant terrace for the 20 days that we have been here and they don’t give a shait about that either…

This place was so ghetto! There were ants in our fridge, a cockroach in our room, the breakfast was like prison food (soggy tortilla chips, eggshells in the scrambled eggs, floppy bacon and a cheap hash brown) and the staff were incredibly rude. They give you two tiny little water bottles a day and charge an obscene amount of money do any more. The place was in dire need of a facelift. The pool was so murky that nobody from our party of 15 would even enter it. And the cherry on top of the cake was the ear piercing Jack hammering of concrete every day that could be heard from the pool and all of our rooms. I would not recommend this resort to anyone! The staff was so rude!

Definitely would stay again
This is a fantastic place to stay for a couple. We only needed space for 2, so we had a single bed room. The shower opens up to the balcony where there is a hot tub, and screens are provided to keep it private. Staff was very courteous, food was excellent, A+++

We have been coming to Puerto Aventuras for 10 years and this is the first time we have stayed at the Hotel. We enjoy the layout, the beach the food and the staff is great.
