Hotel Colonial De Puebla

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. This was our second trip to Puebla and we were excited to return to the city and have the pleasure of staying in this glorious hotel. The management of the hotel are very kind, Very attentive and thoroughly professional. Our room was VERY comfortable and spacious. Very nice bathroom with shower and hot water! We also highly recommend the restaurant in the hotel. The kitchen and the wait staff are very talented and professional. They excel in the preparation of specialties of Puebla: Mole Poblano, Chilaquiles de Mole Also, there is a very lovely roof-top terrace with views of the city and of Popocatépetl, a magnificent volcano located southwest of the city. A friendly old school hotel right in the heart of Puebla. Reception staff friendly and accommodating when I arrived early. Large comfortable rooms-try to get one with a balcony. I would highly recommend staying here.

The day we left after our stay in a fantastic room with an enormous high ceiling, the reception called a taxi for us to get to the bus station. Unfortunately my son lost his mobile phone in the taxi. When I called the hotel they immediately phoned with the taxi company, they found out where the mobile phone was, they had it brought back to the hotel and then send a member of the hotel staff with the phone to the bus station, where we got it back. They were so unbelievably helpful, what a great hospitality, service and good communication. Lots and lots of praise and thanks!!!!

I visited the restaurant and the service was awful!!!!!! Slow and disrespectful. Do not recommend. They didnt even try to make it better. Servers were awful. Only go eat there if you have 3-4 hours to spare. Do not recommend. Not worth it. Dont do it.

I stayed here for 1 night on 10th November as part of a group. I had a ground floor room. The only window looked out onto the corridor. It was noisy, could here people talking. Furniture old and depressing. Thin covering over window. Bathroom old. The building has character, maybe upstairs rooms are better. Woken twice in night by a rodent chewing. Lifted all my stuff onto 2nd bed. I did look for it. It stopped every time I switched light on. Reported to reception.
