A big thumbs up from us! La Tensa is a cluster of small stone residences lovingly converted into a small agriturismo-type hotel, enjoying an excellent location above Domodossola with enviable mountain views. Despite its slightly remote location, it is well worth the 20 minute drive up the basic forested road/track [we did spot a deer once]. We basically fell in love with this place, now firmly in our family's 'one of the best placed we ever stayed in' category. Fabio, who at the time of our visit managed the residences proved very helpful, whilst Francesca and her husband Ivan, who manage the well- worth-it osteria style restaurant (offering great regional dishes and wines), were welcoming and very friendly, as were their support staff, including Rocco Marco. Realistically, any drawbacks? Lack of ACs [we were there in August] and the poor state of parts of the road up [though this is due for resurfacing in late 2024]. Breakfast, if good, was a bit basic/continental. But don't let this put you off, La Tensa is well worth considering, offering character, charm and genuine hospitality that are hard to find. Prices also fair. Finally - would we ever go back? Senza Dubbio!

Sono stato per pochi giorni con un amico e ci siamo trovati benissimo. La posizione dell'agriturismo è già di per sé magica, fuori dal traffico e dal caos cittadino, il tutto condito da gentilezza, disponibilità, simpatia e professionalità da parte di Francesca (il motore di tutta la struttura). Eccellenti anche la cucina, i vini, i prodotti in generale ed il servizio in camera per conto di Ivan (chef e proprietario del ristorante annesso). Se volete staccare la spina e rilassarvi per bene lasciatevi coccolare da questi ragazzi fantastici!

Ristorante bellissimo..con proprietari attenti e gentilissimi...posto incantevole con vista di Domodossola e montagne...assolutamente da riprovare..!Voto 10...Abbiamo pranzato Domenica 19 Gennaio..è stato tutto superlativo..Grazie ancora per la gentilezza dimostrata dai gestori del ristorante!

Sono stato in questo posto spettacolare con una vista più che panoramica che con le luci della sera sembra una cartolina, la strada molto tortuosa ma alla fine ne vale la pena . Arrivati veniamo accolti dalla proprietaria che è una persona molto gentile e molto simpatica ,all’interno veniamo accolti dal un bel camino acceso che x la temperatura non era niente male il posto è da favole il cibo super buono il prezzo molto onesto x quello che abbiamo mangiato ragazzi stare a scrivere non rende bisogna andare e rimarrete incantati ci siamo ripromessi di ritornare di giorno x cui bisogna andare POSTO FANTASTICOOOOO

Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante e, anche se il cameriere che ci ha accolti è stato bravo e gentile, ci sono stati alcuni dettagli che hanno reso l’esperienza meno piacevole. L’antipasto servito dalla signora era buono, ma è stato portato senza piatti per dividerlo. Abbiamo ordinato un secondo di carne, richiesta a cottura media, ma ci è stata servita asciutta e l’attesa è stata piuttosto lunga. Comprendiamo che fosse domenica, quindi l’attesa non è stata un problema. Tuttavia, nessuno è mai passato a chiedere se andasse tutto bene, nemmeno al momento del pagamento, cosa che ci avrebbe dato l’opportunità di segnalare direttamente. Non è stata una tragedia, ma un po' più di attenzione avrebbe fatto la differenza.

Io e mio marito arriviamo in agriturismo con la bambina con la febbre. Ci rendiamo conto che le supposte si sono sciolte per il troppo caldo durante il viaggio e, inoltre, abbiamo la necessitá di mettere in fresco il latte sempre per lei. Tutto ció coincide con la scoperta della totale mancanza del frigo in camera. Alché mio marito contatta il gestore, che gli consiglia di rivolgerci il ristorante, il quale, data l'ora, risulta ancora chiuso. Inoltre, nella camera l'acqua non é controllata e quindi, si consiglia di non berla, ma di rivolgersi sempre al ristorante. Tutte queste difficoltá si sommano alla posizione della struttura, ad almeno 15 minuti di tornanti dalla civiltá che, capite bene, con una bimba di un anno e mezzo che sta male non é il massimo. Dopo questa conversazione via messaggio, il gestore, totalmente disinteressato alla salute di mia figlia, sparisce totalmente. Nel pacchetto includo telefono della doccia rotto (di cui conservo gelosamente le foto), che cadendo sul piede di mio marito gli ha provocato un grosso ematoma, box sbilenco, pulizia carente, straccetti, scope ecc usati per l'igiene degli ambienti, lasciati qua e lá, piede centrale sotto il letto, svitato e mal posizionato, qualitá scadente degli arredi. Fortunatamente il ristorante ha tamponato ogni nostra difficoltá, tenendo in fresco medicinali e ghiaccioli.

Esperienza a dir poco terribile…ho chiamato il primo dicembre per prenotare per l’8 dicembre a pranzo specificando che avevamo due bimbi piccoli… arriviamo e ci metto un tavolo di fronte all’ingresso principale con riscaldamento mal funzionante, quando al piano inferiore avevano una sala con la stufa che era adeguatamente riscaldata. Vista la situazione mi lamento e chiedo di spostarci al piano sotto e dive ci mettono? Nella veranda con le tende di plastica e un fungo che emanava calore lontano dal tavolo. Io non ho mangiato e anche le altre 7 persone che erano con me hanno mangiato praticamente niente in quanto siamo rimasti solo perché il posto era isolato e non c’era altro nelle vicinanze. Veramente pessimi,oltre che lentissimi e disorganizzati. Ah però ci hanno fatto qualche euro di sconto eh! Avessimo trovato un’ambiente accogliente avremmo anche consumato in modo adeguato (antipasti, secondi, dolci, vino,ecc) così si sono portati a casa poco più di 100€ per un tavolo da otto persone e una pessima recensione! Ottimo lavoro!

Non abbiamo dormito in questo agriturismo ma io e mia moglie abbiamo cenato sulla terrazza esterna con una fantastica vista sulle montagne e la valle. Il borghetto è molto ben gestito e le case almeno da fuori sono molto curate. Arrivarci è un pò contorto ma anche questo è il suo fascino, non serve avere una jeep o macchine simili. Ottimo cibo anche a km 0 e del territorio, la signora davvero gentile e competente. Adatto anche per feste.
