Borgo Valle Rita

I spent 3 nights with my family in July 2024, booking 3 rooms in this beautiful resort. The hotel has just a few rooms, less than 20, all well appointed and clean, with working A/C and good toiletries. Beds are comfortable, there is ample space form luggage and there is a minibar and a safe in each room. Some rooms are small apartments with a kitchen and a sofa area. Staff speaks English and they are very helpful, kind, both at the reception and in the restaurant. The resort is in the middle of the countryside, maybe 20 minutes away from the beach, within a larger farm that produces organic olive oil, citrus (oranges, mandarins and lemons), plus their own wine and wheat for bread. You can walk or bike for hours among the fields of orange groves or vineyard, surrounded by cactuses with prickly pears and fig trees as well. The restaurant is high-end, with a large and varied breakfast buffet, small plates for lunch and gourmet dinners (almost Michelin star quality). The hotel has a large pool with a stunning view and a tennis court as well. It is located within a half hour drive from the beach of course and many local attractions like Matera, Taranto, Bernalda (where Francis Ford Coppola family came from) and so on. If you want to experience a high end relaxing vacation at great prices, consider Borgo Valle Rita, you will definitely enjoy a pure Italian vacation in the region of Apulia.

A little gem of a place. Beautiful rooms, delightful pool area, charming restaurant- really a lovely place to stay! Food is excellent and well priced. A great spot for a few nights and has a very charming Italian feel. The tennis equipment could do with an upgrade!

Amazing hotel. Very relaxing experience in a beautiful environment. Staff are extremely professional and helpful. We stayed in one of the double rooms near the restaurant, room was enormous and spotless. Restaurant is exceptional. Hotel is within easy drive of beaches and Matero etc. Cannot praise this hotel enough, our stay was wonderful. Thanks Borgo Valle Rita.

We have stayed here many times. This visit was not good. First…our room had been double-booked, so we were moved into another place and had to move again the second day to the room we had booked 3 months earlier. However, the reception did accommodate us with a very nice upgraded room for their mistake on the first night…but only after a LOT of unnecessary discussion and complaining from us. Today, no one is open for breakfast (official hours 8-10:30a.m…no one here and no one available to take calls at reception…not good. What if there was a big emergency here?!)
