Il Giardino Del Sole

We had an amazing time at Il Giardino del Sole! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. Enza, the owner, is incredibly warm and attentive — she really made our stay special. The food was outstanding — every meal was packed with flavor and there was always plenty to eat. You can really taste the freshness and tradition in every bite. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and very well cared for, and the whole property is beautifully maintained. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Sicilian countryside. Between the delicious meals, the super friendly staff, and the peaceful atmosphere, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Sicily — we’re already planning our return!

Absolutely terrible, do not book here if you have any sense. They charged me £260 for a 3 night stay that i could not attend when a family member of mine passed away at short notice, instead of charging the usual one night no show fee. I asked if i could stay on another date instead and they ranted about how much money they lost because i didn’t turn up and that the best they could possibly do is offer me a mere 20% of my ‘next’ booking with them (i will definitely not be staying there, ever) for a stay of over 3 nights minimum. The whole experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth and i have felt like i’ve been treated like a money machine instead of an actual customer. When I explained to them i would have to write a review regarding this they began threatening me and saying my review was going to be a false review and defamation and that they where going to report me to the police. I am honestly shocked as I myself worked previously at a hotel and never did we ever charge customers for their entire stay if they weren’t able to make it, only for their first night. Very unprofessional and to be honest i don’t want them even having my card details as it seems they will go to any lengths just to get money off of people and they lack morals. Upset by the entire experience and felt their attitude was extremely unsavoury and their behaviour with randomly taking £260 out of my bank account 3 days into the stay when that money had only been in my account a few minutes shows that they just have been sat there, constantly trying to extract the money from my account. All in very bad taste

We were looking for a quiet place outside Catania and this was a perfect fit. We stayed 1 night and were able to have our lunch, dinner, and breakfast before leaving right at the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed walking around the farm to see the animals and also taking a refreshing swim in the pool.

Fantastic value , ( people who complain want 5* for 3* prices), its a farm .... local products, Family run. Staff could not do enough for you , had a few small problems on arrival ,but sorted out straight away. Pizzas fantastic, Al la cart not so Don't know why you need swimmers pool caps ? & single beds could be tied together for double. Stop you falling down the hole.
