What can I say, a beautiful village, the booking to visit the island of Tavolara with Matteo was very quick apart from the slow connection😅 very professional person, compliments for the whole complex, truly a breathtaking view, I haven't tried your cuisine there, I will definitely do so next time. Compliments.!!!

The only thing going for this hotel is its location and the beach, it is stunning. When we arrived, it was late at night. The person on the reception took a little while to acknowledge us and when he did, he didn’t speak great English but we got by, he spoke better English than I did speak Italian. He took us to our room, well he shown us to our block and we was left to pull our suitcase up the stairs on our own. Although I was clearly disabled and using a crutch and I only had my young daughter with me. We wasn't helped at all up the stairs to our room. This was disappointing. The rooms are spacious enough for us but I could see why some people would complain. They are basic and they are tired and could do with a freshen up, lick of paint etc. There is a small mini fridge in the room and a safe. The safe is very small, you wouldn’t be able to fit a standard size iPad in it if you wanted. So not ideal. The whole time we was there, we didn't hear a single other English accent, a few Canadian and American. But on the whole, the place is occupied by Italians, which I don’t have any issues with. But the staff aren't friendly and I felt that they only cared about the Italian guests. The restaurant - It was explained to us at the time of checking in that we could sit where we liked at breakfast but in the evening we would be given a table and this would be our table for our entire stay. So the first morning was alright, nothing special. We didn't stay in for dinner in the evening as we had other plans. The second morning we over slept so missed breakfast but we did go for evening meal. My daughter had the spaghetti bolognese and the meat was pink inside and didn't seem like it was cooked properly. So we wasn't keen to return. The choice of food wasn't great either. On our third morning, we head up (the millions of steps) to breakfast. We find a table that was set up with cutlery and ready to use. We go and get some food. We start eating and suddenly find our table surrounded by an Italian family and they was claiming that the table we was now sitting at, was their table and we shouldn't be sitting there. I did see a piece of paper that said reserved on it on our table but this was upside down so I presumed that it would get turned back over for the evening meal. There was plenty of other tables around us so they asked a member of staff to lay out a new table for them. I thought that was going to be the end of it until the restaurant manager came over to me. I'm not sure what he thought he was going to achieve. I told him what I had been told when I checked in and he told me that it wasn't true and that they do reserve tables for families etc at breakfast. He was rude and he skank of smoke which wasn't pleasant whilst eating breakfast. After this, we choice not to eat at the hotel for the rest of our stay. I don’t think we missed out on anything. The other issue is the steepness of the property. Its great they run the golf kart back and forth be

A good 3* hotel with a beautiful relaxing and clean pool areas. There are plenty of sunbeds at the beach although it is not the biggest beach. There is an amazing tiki bar five minutes along. We had full board plus and all meals were served buffet style to fairly regimented sessions. Some days the food was amazing, others were tepid and overcooked. Overall there was something for everyone, but certainly not gourmet. Water, soft drinks, basic wine and beer were included. Our room overlooked the sea and was serviceable with a great shower and comfy beds (firm). The animation in the evenings starts at 9.30 and can go on till after midnight some nights. It is loud, you can hear it from your room but it didn’t bother us. Some things to note….. Sardinia has a different adapter to the rest of Europe (it’s 3 pronged) Leave the heels at home and certainly don’t go if you have mobility issues ( great vistas though) It is a very remote hotel, with no options of other restaurants or any shops. You need a car, as there is no public transport and taxis are €58 each way to Olbia

No public buses before June 15th, if you want to get out and about hire a car at the airport. Great beach and pools. Slopes from top of hotel to beach, there are little shuttles, but steps will be involved. Staff are great, food was lovely. Room was clean and basic, bed firm and comfy. Take insect repellent, there are a few mosquitos. Two extra restaurants at the beach hotel(charges for), we had the best pizza (vegetarian) at the pizza bistro.

A wonderful view and setting. Lovely quiet pool Decent beer The food was poor and the hot items were cold The staff were quite rude. It appears they don’t appreciate the all inclusive guests. The staff in the restaurant, Andrea R,Susanna & Christina were really lovely. View amazing. It’s on a steep hill so if you have mobility issues you will struggle

Awful service since start to end, they ruined our 2nd anniversary. Washrooms left 2 days with not toilet paper and with water on the floor as toilette leaks. We supposed to go Dubai for the same price shame we never did. We complain since beginning no action has been taken. Thank you for ruining our holidays and anniversary, we clear this place from our future destinations.

Stayed here for 1 week, which we were very excited about. On arrival we waited a good while to even speak to the receptionists (check in was very slow) due to arriving at 11 check in wasn’t till 4, we was advised if our room was ready early they would call (which they didn’t). During our stay housekeeping was completed by 10am every day, so not sure why we had to wait till 4? From reception the hotel grounds are beautiful and lovely and clean (can’t fault the views overlooking the sea). We paid for a see view room, which was advised was a partial see view. The room was okay, however the bathroom was very dated and needed an update. You couldn’t enjoy the sun from your balcony which was disappointing as it was covered. If I would have known about the partial view we would have just paid for a classic room, as we were told they were the same (waste of money). We paid for all inclusive (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks) the food I couldn’t fault, except for the snacks which were non existent, all you could have was olives and nachos, my partner didn’t like either, so basically could have nothing. I would suggest the lunch slot to be 12-3. You could get no other snacks which I find strange for an all inclusive (I would suggest a re think). Drink menu also limited and not a great selection, during our first 2 days Prosecco was included, after complaining with both easy jet and the hotel about no menu, they decided to put a menu out explaining what was included (thank you) however Prosecco was then taken off the menu, very dis pointing as this is the only alcohol drink I enjoyed, so rest of the holiday was pop unless you wanted to pay. A small cocktail selection would have been nice. The shop on site had no drinks or snacks just clothes, shoes, bags, sun cream etc, so if you wanted anything you would have to go out (bare in mind if you have no car this would cost about 30 euros). The pool was very nice as we spent most of our time round the pool, however the loungers after some time become uncomfortable! During our first night water was tapping on the floor from the air con, which we thought would stop, so we ignored. All day it was fine until night number 2, more water, after a disturbed night sleep we called reception, maintenance came down and had a look and advised he couldn’t fix due to the time (fair enough) so we asked reception are there any rooms, no nothing (which I don’t believe) the receptionist Victoria was rude and not apologetic one bit, or wanted to help! I’m sorry but If it was the other way round, I’m sure you wouldn’t be happy listening to that for another night. So we had to bare it, on the second day maintenance did fix and everything was fine. On our package it stated canoes will be available at the beach but we didn’t see this? Also the bus outside the hotel wasn’t running due to out of season! So we were trapped, for a taxi to go 10 minutes away cost 60 euros, so a round trip would have cost 120 euros (I suggest a car if co

Colonna is an all-in resort. However, it's in the middle of nowhere and you're restricted to either staying on site or hiring a car. I did hear there's a free shuttle into Olbia. If you're the type that is happy to lounge around the pool or beach (both excellent) all day, then this is for you. All inclusive drinks is a little inconsistent with different rules depending from where you obtain them. The resort is very hilly (steep) with numerous steps but there is a very regular shuttle that you can use. Our room was comfortable and clean with daily housekeeping, sometimes twice a day. The food was typically Italian with a good, tasty choice. The entertainment and animators were very engaging and excellent at their roles. Lots of activities going on. All staff very friendly. Plenty of excursions to book, and also car hire, all available to book onsite.
