Mixed Feelings – A Disappointing Experience for a Family Stay I’m honestly very confused by our experience at this hotel, so I’ll try to lay out everything clearly in this full review. Check-in & Reception – Extremely Frustrating Our stay started off on the wrong foot. We informed the hotel two weeks in advance that we were coming with a baby and asked if there was anything we should know. We received no reply. When we arrived around lunchtime, we were surprised to learn that check-in wasn’t until 5 PM—information that could’ve easily been communicated earlier. We had also requested a cot ahead of time, but it was not in the room when we arrived. Despite reminding reception during check-in, nothing was done. My husband had to go back and forth from the room to reception three times in 36°C heat, and only after I personally came down visibly upset did they finally bring the cot. The staff blamed ******* for not receiving our requests. When we asked about activities since we were staying for nine days, the receptionist just pointed to some bulletin boards or suggested going to the port. Days later, we discovered that the hotel actually had their own organized tours, which no one told us about. To make matters worse, the air conditioner broke on day 4. Our baby couldn’t sleep because of the heat. Although we were told a technician would come, no one showed up until we physically went back to reception to demand it be fixed. It was a stressful and potentially dangerous situation with a baby involved. Room – Not Family-Friendly The room was very small and compact, making it hard for a family with young children. It also didn’t help that we were placed on the second floor with steep stairs, despite having informed the hotel about our baby. Upon check-in, I reminded them again, but they claimed they were fully booked and only offered a smaller room far from everything. We had no choice but to carry the stroller up and down every time we left the room. Food – Underwhelming for a 4-Star Hotel The food was mediocre. Definitely not up to 4-star standards. The selection was limited, although the kitchen staff were friendly and clearly working hard (often looking stressed). Snacks were disappointing—mostly sandwiches, burgers, or leftovers from breakfast. Only the fries were freshly cooked. Drinks were average. The buffet wines were good, beer was okay, but the cocktail selection was poor and overly sweet. Also, the bars were quite a walk from most rooms, and in the summer heat, it’s honestly not worth the effort. Wi-Fi – Virtually Nonexistent The Wi-Fi was practically unusable throughout our stay. I’m not sure if it works better in certain areas, but in our room and most common spaces, it either didn’t connect at all or was so slow it might as well not exist. I had to rely on my own mobile data the entire time, which was frustrating—especially in an all-inclusive resort that advertises Wi-Fi as a standard amenity. Private Beach – Nice but Inconveni
