Albergo Terme Forlenza

We booked through booking, we had already been in this facility, we were well, I make compliments for breakfast, abundant and quality, five stars. But I would advise the owners to think about the evening entertainment of the hotel's customers, if not a little music underground outside sofas, because the customers would appreciate it, as they are in the outskirts. I would like to advise owners to think about reducing the price of the menu at both lunch and dinner, since only the tractor is favoured the headlight because much cheaper.

Hotel Fontana
4/557 Reviews
This hotel is strategically located within close proximity of the sea and also the wonderful cathedral. That’s the luxury. Once you find the hotel and arrange to have your car parked in some secret mysterious place for the daily fee of €30, you then have to cross a busy road and haul your suitcase up 27 steep steps. That’s not luxury. The rooms are very basic and the bathrooms pretty small. Don’t expect to find supplies of toiletries - only liquid soap is available. Anything else you may require is charged to your room in addition to the daily fee of €260 for B&B in the high season. That’s not luxury. Breakfast is served in the same room where the reception is situated so it’s likely you’ll have breakfast accompanied by new arrivals trundling their luggage through the room not to mention the dulcet tones of dishes being washed in the same room. That’s not luxury. If your looking for accommodation in the splendid town of Amalfi the Hotel Fontana offers a clean place to sleep and a mediocre selection for breakfast. But NOT LUXURY.
Hotel Royal Paestum

We booked an Executive Double Room for 2 nights in this hotel. The hotel is connected to Osteria Arbustico a Michelin star restaurant. During check-in we were told that the pool was closed for that day. There was a wedding venue the whole day and we found out that the guests occupied every space available so there was no room for the other guests that were staying at the hotel. No possibility to eat, to drink nothing. Our room was more that of a Motel. It was separated from the hotel in a block with other rooms. We had a view from our terras on the parking, garbage, airco units and clean wash hanging outside. The room was small and had a small dated shower. The second day we went to the pool. To our surprise we found broken glass, cigarettes, olives, cheese and whatever you can think of left behind by the beloved guests of the day before. During the day this was cleaned up as well as possible because this was too much for the regular cleaning staff. In the afternoon we were confronted with a new event in the hotel namely a communion with a lunch in the restaurant and bar. We decided to go to the beach to avoid the hotel again. When I asked the manager if they had given me the right room he reacted anoyed. I tried again by showing him a picture of my view and he confirmed that this is what I paid for. I didn't react anymore because I realized that this person had no clue on how to handle disappointed guests and he had absolutely no idea what the word service stands for. We didn't ask for anything special or a discount or whatever but not being taken serious was the main irritation that we had. Our advice: please check in advance if the hotel has no events and due to the manager we say that this is hotel is 2 star worthy.
Il Moro di Positano

The warm welcome of Riccardo at Il Moro di Positano and the breath-taking views from the public and private patios make all the town stairs up and down worth walking. Opening our balcony doors each morning to the view down over the buildings below to the blue sea and across to the high hills and sheer rocky mountains above was pure joy. Riccardo was everything you could wish for in a host. Always smiling and willing to make dinner recommendations and special tips to ease daytime activity plans. Switching languages flawlessly depending on the nationality of the guests. The rain shower and bidet in the bath added to the feel of luxury. The vast, varied spread of choices at the breakfast buffet set us up for each adventurous day. This B&B was certainly great value for the money and it was clear that the manager’s heart was in pleasing his guests. We were so happy to have stayed our 4 nights in Positano here at Il Moro.
B&B Portafortuna Lucky Charm
4.3/529 Reviews
We are very sorry to have to write this negative review! Let's start by saying that we stayed one night in this B&B. Fairly convenient location 10 minutes from the station and 5 from the center! The BeB is located in an old building, and is basically an apartment on the first floor, where there are some rooms and then the owner's rooms! So it's like being all in one apartment but only in different rooms. At the time of booking we communicate that we are a couple with a 3 month old baby. We arrive, we stay in the room with our baby for a while to play (about half an hour at 12 o'clock) and going out to go for a ride we finally meet the lady (landlady) who asks us if the baby sleeps at night because he has heard screams before and would not want me to disturb the other hoteliers. The screams he refers to were the classic vocalizations that babies make when they play. I reply that we sleep, but not every day is the same with such small children. Returning from the stroll in the center we go back to the room and find the cold room, I call the number I have (he is another guy I have never seen since the reception was made by yet another gentleman) and I explain the situation, the lady comes on turns on the radiator and air conditioning (very indisposed because according to her it is not cold !!). I also notice stains on the sheets and by pointing this out to him they are reluctantly changed. When we went out for dinner, we left the air conditioning on but she went in and turned it off (saying that audì clima they turn off by themselves because they have a motion sensor 😵‍💫 strangely all night then it remained on at 20 degrees). But the best part was when we returned at 9.30 pm the baby started crying, we were trying to calm him down and the lady knocked on us to ask us to calm him down and make silence that disturbed !!!!!! As if we had you can make a newborn stop crying! I add that instead of creating these unpleasant situations it is enough to say that they do not accept babies instead of taking reservations and then treating customers badly. I also point out that the lift only goes with 20 cent coins .. and of course we with a stroller had to go up and down several times! We only saw 80 cents from her, the rest came from our own pocket. We did not clean up, mold in the shower and gravy stains in the duvet. I also point out that the partner bar for breakfast is very basic levels. Tip: look for something else with children.
