Hotel Clelia

What a great little hotel in a lovely place! It is clean and large enough to be professionally run and managed, yet small enough to feel like a family fun place. It is located just off the town square in a quiet side street and is about 5-10 minutes walk down the hill to the harbour front and the ferry. The hill from the ferry harbour up to the town and the hotel is quite steep but the hotel laid on a car to take us and our bags up and down at the start and end of our stay. My friend and I stayed there recently for a scuba diving trip on the island and the owners Fabio and Rosselita gave us a lovely welcome, and our twin room was comfortable and clean with a balcony overlooking the quiet street. We had to get up early each day to catch our dive boat so the lovely breakfast we had each morning was very welcome, and the smart breakfast room overlooking the town and the Mediterranean sea was clean and tidy. And being Italy the breakfast coffee is amazing!

The place it’s behind the train station, but any way you have to walk up- all around like 15minutes. It’s on 2nd floor apartment no Lift. It’s 4 or 5 rooms inside. Room it’s normal size. Bathroom it’s little bit small. There is no water. The air conditioner was on my left side my head .. so it’s possible to turn on - otherwise next day you will be sick. So about the breakfast There was a plate with 3 very small pieces of cheese - like 1sm -3sm mix together with meat - so I ask the girl for clean cheese 🧀 that’s not mix with meat - she say - she only that and tell me to take out the meat …so this is no comment . Was yogurt with sugar- my guy is diabetic. Was cake - that’s also sugar.and she have it some kind of very old apricot .. so we couldn’t eat anything.. just drink espresso.. what we understand it’s - once you pay - they don’t F… care more about you. Pity I don’t do foto for the breakfast.. I was so disappointed.. the way she talk to me .. that we go in our room .. take our language and we go. So we will never go more there.
Hotel Bel 3

Been in this location between the 11th and 18th of August . I`ve visited severals hotels in Palermo due to the fact my family lives there, but always stayed in 4 stars and above. So, I was wondering what time was going to be. Wow , I was wrong! Reception : Extremely friendly service at arrival , the girl ( julia, i guess ) was absolutely wonderful on explaining us all the hotel`s facilities and times and showing good care for us. Room : An exquisite room with an AMAZING view , we took the one with balcony, we could see the whole city, fridge freezer full of different drinks, and several bathroom towel . And honestly , I`m very clean freak , and that room was spotless. Facilities: To find an Hotel in palermo with swimming pool wasn`t easy ...but with 3 swimming pools I reckon impossible, in the end of the day Palermo is a city surrounded by beaches so , not many are really keen on stay at the pool, but because of the location of the Hotel , those pool were the best, expecially the one that look at the city, fantastic. Restaurant : If you wondering where to eat , you have 2 choices , or going around in Palermo with the crazy traffic and been ripped off by a turistic restaurant or... enjoy an amazing service and the restorant ( i capricci di Cristian ) at the 5th floor of the hotel. OMG! the pizza was perfection. The pasta dishes pure art, and the desserts so delicate. I almost had dinner everyday in there, obviously a la cart...and even reasonable prices. The service was spot on, restaurant was full but 2 waiters managed to run it smoothly. Breakfast included : I`m italian by blood , so I didn`t mind croissant in the morning , but my partner is english , so he could choose a nice savoury breakfast with parma ham , salami etc...drinks were included too, which I was expecting it...and even if you see the orange juice coming from a machine , was actually quiet nice. Location: I knew what I was going to get , the hotel is far from the city and a taxi can be quiet pricy from there ....but ....surprise ....they have a transport service from the hotel to city center and back to the hotel, just following their timelines but 14euros p/p with return , I thought was a bargain , a taxi would had cost us about 80 euros (not joking). I had the chance to congratulate the Hotel Director , a very nice man that walks around doing basically anything he can do to make that place even better, I saw him cleaning , I saw him serving at the kiosko near the pools, telling people off from the glass that face the pool ( obviously for not respecting the rules ) this guy is amazing I must say. Conclusion : 3 Stars ? MMMmmmhhh I`m not sure, I`ve been in many 4 stars in Palermo and they were absolutely horrible . This structure deserve more than 3 stars, I truly reccomend it , and we will definitely come back. Thanks to the staff and management .
Marbela Apartments & Suites

We stayed for 4 nights earlier this month, using the apartment as a base to explore Palermo. Our one bedroom apartment on the second floor was very spacious with lots of living space, a handy kitchen/dining room and separate bedroom with a balcony. It was light and airy. The bathroom was functional although the shower was on the small side. It contained a washing machine which came in handy as the weather was very warm! The staff at this place were friendly and helpful. Even though the apartments are not in the centre of the action there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, grocery stores etc. Shout out to the Orient Express cafe. The only negative thing I have to say is that when we first arrived the apartment smelled strongly of cigarettes, which as non-smokers was a bit off putting. Luckily it dissipated quickly.
Mondello Beach - Rooms by the Sea

I still have an ear worm from the continuous whining of beach sellers. IT'S sandy, all the way from promenade to the warm aquamarine sea. It is littered with bits of plastic, cigarette ends and the occasional discarded beer bottle. You wont be left alone to relax, somebody will stand next to you evrey 10 minutes asking you to buy trinkets, drinks, very nice double bed sized' throws' or a massage (the only happy ending available is when the sun goes and so do they) There is a great place to round off your days tanning, The 'Touring Café Beach' on Viale Regina Elena Excellent food Nicely Priced and enhanced by pleasant service. Old Town
The hotel was very centrally located, but at the same time in a quiet and quiet way.Our room was a comfortable double (although the beds were single, well connected), the very large bathroom with a new and comfortable shower. Very clean environments. Excellent rooftop (one of the few in Cefalù) with a terrace with fantastic view. With friendly and friendly owners, we have been comfortable and provided a number of advice for the visit. Also recommended for medium long stays. Some suggestions for hotel management, to further improve the stay of guests: (a) close the doors of the planes, otherwise the music from the rooftop is in a resting disorder in the evening, (b) improve breakfast: the hotel has excellent services but breakfast is low, with industrial and packed products; We also noted with regret the rare maleducation and insulting of the cabinet in the breakfast room, a person clearly unhappy to work in public contact, who left us a lot Perplexy.
