I stayed here as a base to explore the mountain trails nearby as it is perfectly located. The room was comfortable, the breakfast great and the staff friendly. I opted for the half board and the evening meals were great - hearty local food Will stay again when I’m in the area. Thanks.

Second time here and we and our kids highly enjoyed the place again. Awesome dinner opportunities, great spot for many activities like hiking (e.g. directly behind the hotel). Short drive own the mountain to Oliena. Very good and comprising breakfast. Would go there again

Arrived after a delayed flight after midnight and the cook had stayed to make us a pizza ! Room was clean with a lovely terrace and fantastic views of the mountains . Food excellent - we had half board which was very good value . Breakfast were tasty but simple . Can order pack lunches which were large . Walking in mountains excellent and trails in the main easy to follow but you do need a map . We used knoot . Rough underfoot and walks take longer than mileage would suggest so allow time . The navigation to the hotel around Oliena can be tricky - go around the town not through it . Road to hotel is up the mountain but the service is good for normal cars and it is quiet . We walked down to the village but it was Sunday and raining and nothing was open . Went to the coast and walked which was again rocky underfoot . Caught the boat back . Lovely stay and good base .

We stayed at this hotel so that we would already be halfway up the mountain before starting our hike. The location and services were ideal. We did extensive online research beforehand, and the trails we chose were sign posted and easy to find and follow from here. The view from the room and balcony was stunning and kept changing with the light at different times of day. The building was not initially built to be a hotel, so we occasionally heard heavy doors opening and closing and plumbing from other rooms, but we got a good night’s sleep. There’s no fridge and you might want to bring your own corkscrew, but we appreciated that there were loads of hangers provided. The Wifi in the room was faster than at home. The breakfast buffet was great. There was a selection of all sorts of things, including a rather tasty egg dish, homemade cake, wonderful almond biscuits, and possibly the juiciest apple I’ve ever had. There was filter coffee in a jug, so you could help yourself, but the waitress also made fresh individual coffees. We got an excellent dinner deal on the Hotel Guest Menu for 25 Euros each, which included a starter, main course, and dessert. (It was unclear on the website whether it would be 3 dishes or 4. Even at 3, it was good value as the servings were generous and the food was delicious. You may need to ask for this menu). The Vegetarian options on the set menu were astonishingly good. The Vegetable and Legume Soup was traditional and wholesome, like grandma used to make. My husband was a little disappointed that they didn’t have the Sheep Stew that evening, but he said the beef was good and they offered to substitute potatoes instead of salad. My Aubergine Frattau dish was full of flavour and very filling. The Sevada Hin Mele dessert was gooey and scrumptious. It was so tasty, I believe it must have been made with the cooperative’s own honey, (there are several types sold separately beside reception), because the flavour was so intense. We’ve already recommend this hotel to friends. The only negative was a small admin thing. We didn’t hear back when we initially booked directly with the hotel, so we weren’t sure if our reservation went through. We emailed them about wanting a dinner reservation and to inform them that there would be a vegetarian at breakfast, and they did indeed know about us. There just hadn’t been a confirmation. Others may want to take a Screenshot of their booking and get in touch with them for reassurance.

The location of this hotel is amazing. The road from Oliena is not long, only a few km, but it's basically upwards on a tiny serpentine road. The hotel is in the middle of the forest. Take a room with the shared huge balcony. The rooms are simple, but the beds are good and the rooms are clean. The bonus, is the view down to the valley which is fantastic. The restaurant is very popular, so best to reserve your table before arrival to the hotel. There is a choice of local traditional dishes and in the evening also pizza. We stayed at the hotel for three nights, and ate every evening in the restaurant. The service is friendly both in the restaurant and at the reception. The hotel also organizes trekking tours, but unfortunately during our stay no one else was interested in them and they require a minimum of 4 people for the tours. There are however some trekking routes just from the hotel, which are accessible also without a 4W drive first.

Piatti squisiti a prezzi contenuti. Davvero complimenti!
