Amazing views, service and location. The morning views over the Mediterranean cannot be beat. We enjoyed swimming in the sea, as well as the adjacent beach. Breakfasts were amazing, with great table service by Loridana, and food prepared by Rozalia (don’t miss her scrambled eggs). Also, be sure to visit the seaside “cellar,” and learn about the Italian movie stars that stayed there in the old days, such as Anna Magnani. Getting around the islands was easy by bus and my hydrofoil. Oh, be sure to pass an afternoon on the back deck enjoying some wine will taking in the sea. Letizia and Benny were ever helpful with ensuring that our stay was a fun adventure, yet tranquil. Last but not least, hats off to the incomparable Nino, who magically appeared when we needed him.

What a great stay! The location is outstanding-right on the water, the rooms are small but perfectly outfitted, the staff is lovely. That’s not even mentioning the excellent breakfast and dinner. There are two separate outdoor patios overlooking the water. The ferry stop is less than 200 yards away and the beach just 50 yards further.

Beautiful hotel right on the water. Snorkelling at the hotel’s gorgeous rocky beach was wonderful. Owner is very friendly and attentive and helped us with transport, including scooter rentals. Perfect solution for our family of two adults and two teenagers looking for island charm but also various activities such as boat trips, scooters, hiking, and snorkelling/swimming.

First time in Salina...definitely not the last. Spend two glorious nights at L'Ariana Hotel. What a special place this is. Letizia and her team took such great care. Fantastic & comfortable rooms, beautiful views of the sea and great service. They also recommended great restaurants and experiences. Thank you all for a wonderful stay. Beautiful rooms with great amenities. Staff went completely above and beyond, treated us like family. Restaurant and bar excellent- from the breakfasts to evening drinks at Patio, to the magnificent feat they prepared for all 14 of us one night. Primo location. Couldn't fault a single aspect of our stay. We will definitely return!

A highlight of our trip to Italy. A 5 minute walk from the ferry at Rinella, but a transfer was included. The host, Letizia, could not do enough for us. Breakfast was especially good with so many options. It's a short walk to the beach or swim from the rocks below.

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel facilities and surroundings are beautiful - We are frequent travelers and have been to many hotels, including all around Italy, but this is a very special place and we will be back! We loved the views of the sea, modern and clean room, proximity to the port, well-appointed private terrace for guests to use, and incredible views + delicious food/cocktails from the on-site bar and restaurant. We stayed in the comfort room with partial sea view and our only comment is that the shower was tiny - not enough of an inconvenience to ask that we switch rooms, but we would book/request a different room next time. A few tips: -Get the dark chocolate (fondente) gelato at the bar; the best we’ve had! -Be sure to pack your water shoes, the entry to the sea is rocky so we were glad we had ours! -The nearest port is Rinella (which is smaller but more charming than the other Salina port of Santa Marina); if you plan to book a guided boat tour to other islands, Glentor is the only one we inquired with that picks up from Rinella (but they were excellent!)

We just returned from our 8 night stay in this fabulous hotel. We had a standard room with a small terrace which was perfect for us. The beds and pillows were of a very high quality and the bathroom very modern and always spotlessly clean. Every day they will fill your fridge with new mineral water which was such a nice gesture. There are 2 areas with sun loungers and direct access to the wonderful, clear sea. Breakfast with an amazing view over the sea, was very good: fresh fruits, cheese, ham, tomatoes, nuts, wonderful cakes, etc. Coffees were also of very high quality. The service in the hotel was exceptional: Letizia helped us kindly with the organisation of a tour to Stromboli at night (highly recommended!). The position of the hotel is great offering amazing views and direct access to the sea (there is also a sandy beach 5 minutes from the hotel). From the small port of Rinella it is easy to take the hydrofoil to visit one of the other Eolian islands or make excursions. There is also a regular bus service to the other villages on the island. Rinella has 2 very good restaurants and one very good pizzeria. Rinella and the L'Ariana is for those looking for a relaxing holiday in stunning surroundings. We had such an amazing stay in this hotel and we will be back!
