The accommodation features spacious, modern rooms with excellent amenities, friendly staff, and a stunning hilltop location. However, some find it overpriced for the experience. Delicious, locally-sourced breakfast also noted.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Casa di Langa. The hotel and its surroundings were surprisingly beautiful and stunning. The room was tastefully designed, very spacious, and had two large double beds, perfect for my family of three. The bathroom was huge and exceptionally clean. We dined at the hotel restaurant throughout our stay, and the food was fantastic. I enjoyed the walk in the nearby woods very much, and the scenery was amazing. This was truly one of my most unforgettable trips. I would love to return to stay and enjoy Piemonte next time!

The only reason I gave this hotel 2 stars instead of 1, is because I was traveling with a 14 month old baby that was sick, and I know that part of my negative experience was that. I will also qualify this by saying that we went there on the recommendation of our group's travel agent, so I assume other people have had positive experiences. The big positive of the hotel is that it is set on a beautiful hill overlooking a valley amid vineyards and hazelnut groves, where you can see the Alps in the distance. Absolutely a stunning view. Now the negative... 1. We had originally booked a suite, but something with the sliding doors must not have been able to seal properly, so our suite was open to the stink bugs. Apparently late October is typically when stink bug season starts, but this year early rains brought them early, and so we went into the room to find a couple dozen stink bugs in our room. We told the hotel and at first, it was as though they didn't believe us. Like we jsut had our door open and were upset they were coming inside. Rather than the fact that the door just didnt work to keep them out. Eventually the hotel came to remove the bugs, but within minutes there were at least a dozen more. I dealt with them that time, and minutes later at least a dozen more. We wouldn't have wanted to deal with a room that couldn't seal out bugs at a motel 6 and definitely not at a hotel room where basic rooms are more than 600 euros on a weeknight. We asked to switch rooms and they switched us to the only room that they had available. which was one of their basic rooms. It was a shoebox of a room that really could not accommodate a crib. We had to place it in the hall just inside the door so we squeezed through between the crib and the wall to get to room (btw, the crib was 50 euros per night). The room was so small that the bed takes up almost the whole space and there was essentially no room for our baby to play on the floor. The hotel continued to act as though this was not a major inconvenience, but did eventually send a bottle of wine to our room as an apology after the travel agency complained to them. We were dealing with a sick baby so we never even drank it. I will say that the rooms came with beautiful balconies that were a major part of the space of the room. However, even if the door was working they were so full of stink bugs that they were essentially unusable. This wouldn't have been true if stinkbug season had come later or we had come earlier, and this would have made the rooms much nicer. 2. Part of the appeal of the hotel is the location, but it has a major downside. It is isolated enough that you can't get a cab so any plans need to be made in advance and getting a car to take you down the hill will be 200 euros. So you can't do anything impromptu. 3. Dealing with a sick baby and only one restaurant on site that is pretty fancy and slow, not ideal for a baby, I was ordering a lot of room service. I found the ro

Peaceful. Quiet. Beautiful views. Kind staff. Lovely small spa. Truffle hunt was a unique experience, as was the wine tasting in their cellar. My only real "complaint" would be the air conditioning, it never properly cooled the room, and every day it would reset to 22*, despite keeping it set at the lowest possible temperature and the highest speed. I called and asked to have it reset daily, staff couldn't understand why, I really shouldn't be questioned if I want my room cooler. I would still return, as this hotel offers a much more comfortable and modern stay than its older competitors in the area, just don't come when it's hot, and you will love your time here!

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at this property. Pros: This might be the best located property in Roero/Langhe. What makes it so special are the beautiful views of Serralunga d' Alba in the distance and the beautiful green valley and vineyards in the forefront with no development obscuring the bucolic beauty. We also loved the views from a hilltop restaurant in La Morra but below us were many villages- also attractive but not as secluded and special as the Casa's location. The town of Alba was super unappealing and unattractive to us- I would steer clear of it. Cherasco had a dour beauty. Casa di Langa is very peaceful and quiet- a few animals can be heard in the distance at night and some roosters crowing in the morning. Night time lighting is also ideal and low as to not obscure the night sky. Sound insulation within the rooms is excellent. The room was slightly too warm for us: 72.4 F but by calling the front desk we were able to get an override on the thermostat- apparently remotely controlled. Very well staffed with pleasant and helpful concierges, parking valets, restaurant staff and twice daily maid service. Lobby and bar decor are very nice. Huge outdoor (partially covered) patio space just off the lobby with lots of comfortable seating. My husband really enjoyed his wine tasting class. The bath products and bed linens are very nice. Cons: despite getting a "deluxe" category room with excellent views, our room was simply too small- it was about the size of our last cruise ship cabin. I don't think we will return but if we did, I would carefully scrutinize photos of the suites to see if they are an improvement. The covered patio for our room was large and initially I wondered why it was so big and the room was so small but then I realized the afternoon sun is so intense that the architects must've factored that in to the design. On our patio were two basic upright chairs which need to be replaced with something more comfortable and relaxed. The mattress, although comfortable, was a bit low to the ground for oldsters like us. The bath area was also smallish. There was only one low slung comfortable chair in the room and an upright desk chair which scraped loudly on the brick floor. Breakfast was excellent and well staffed although the outdoor tables, when weather is perfect, should be set and ready for guests who all want to go outside instead of trying to steer them to the inside. Our room was located above the restaurant and people dining outside in the morning were not an issue for us at all - even when we were outside on our patio. Faula restaurant- I'm sure the chef is talented and I would like to eat what he makes for himself or his family on his days off. We generally dislike Michelin type starred restaurants and found this one typically off putting. Too experimental- simpler is often better. Why the gimmick of presenting a few rice crackers on top of a bowl of rocks? What's the point? If you decide to stay here and have a car- don't

Casa di Langa was a lovely place to spend a few days. Though it's a bit difficult to locate, it's gorgeous and secluded in the best way. Definitely do the truffle hunting and eat in the restaurant! The food was amazing, and to learn about and see the truffles (and the dogs who find them) was awesome.

I almost don't want to write this review because I don't want to spoil the secret. CASA DI LANGA is absolutely stunning and is a hidden little gem in the middle of a beautiful (and under rated) area in Italy. We were two couples and stayed for a couple of nights. We left wishing we had more time at the hotel. The service was perfect - the bartenders, wait staff, wine experts and front desk were all very attentive. The views were unbelievable. I really didn't believe it was going to be that pretty and it was! The food at the restaurant was good and the amenities were too. The reason I don't want to spoil the secret is the rooms were impeccable. They were modern, clean with big bathrooms. We were on a three week trip across the country and this was my favorite place we stayed. The value for what we paid was great. I would love to return some day!

A lovely hilltop resort in north Italy, close to Barolo and Barbaresco (Bar-to-Bar). A great place for a romantic holiday or family & friends trip. Beautiful scenery, tranquil, great restaurant Faula, bar, spa, pool. Room has a nice lay out and a great terrace. Lovely gardens, helpful staff. The hotel has a jacuzzi for guest to enjoy. after a 12-hour flight plus a 2-hour car journey from Milan airport, what a great way to recharge. All the staff are lovely and helpful. Faula is a great restaurant, we had the vegetarian 5-course menu. What a treat ! Extremely fresh vegetables from the garden, cooked and presented in style and perfection. I think they are going to get multiple stars soon. Highly recommend it
