Rizzi Aquacharme Hotel & Spa

Where to start... The whole experience was sublime. Such a tranquil, relaxing atmosphere with tremendously brilliant staff, so welcoming and accommodating and friendly. Their warmth was wonderful and started from the second we arrived. The suite was gorgeous and the bed was amazing! Every day the room was serviced to perfection. Slept so well. The food selection seemed never ending with so much choice of both hot and cold dishes along with the numerous yummy desserts. I took advantage of the Spa. The pool is great and the hot tub is well worth a try as you relax whilst taking in the views. The massage and pampering facilities were also top notch. All in all, a great relaxing getaway. Highly recommended!
Hotel Mayer & Splendid - Wellness e Spa

Faded glamour, with a hefty emphasis on 'Faded' Sadly I don't think I've ever been as disappointed with a hotel I have spent this much money on. The hotel was clearly once beautiful, but is many years (probably decades) past its best. The check in welcome was not a good start as we drove here and the unclear instructions about where to park whilst we unloaded left us anxious about getting towed. The receptionist didn't seem to care about this at all. The interiors are really shabby and, in places, smelly. The bathroom felt like bits of it might fall off at any point. the hairdryer seemed like it was from the 1970s Breakfast is good when they bother to fill the buffet items up (over 30 minute wait for bacon this morning) They also charge extra for setting up a cot in the room, which I've not experienced in a room costing> $200 before. Let alone $300. Best avoided

Absolutely excellent hotel. We had a really wonderful holiday. We arrived at the hotel during a very dramatic thunderstorm and heavy rain but were greeted immediatley with a very helpful gentleman with umbrellas. All staff at front of house are really helpful and informative. We had a lovely welcome drink at the bar while watching the storm over the lake which added to the beautiful dramatic scenery. The rest of our stay we had great sunshine and warm weather. Rooms are beautiful ,well maintained and all areas of the hotel are kept spotlessly clean.Restaurant is beautiful with amazing views.Breakfast has a really good selection and service is excellent. We also enjoyed dinner in retsaurant on most evenings.Special mention to Diana (retsaurant manager)Thomas (waiter),Alessandro(sommellier),and Nelia.I dont know all the names of all staff but they were all amazing. Also we ate lunch in the beach club and this was also excellent with lovely barbeque style food.Special mention to Nikoleta in beach grill restaurant always smiley and helpful. All the staff who did shutttle bus were very helpful and the service s very efficient. Also top marks to cleaning staff the hotel is kept beautifully clean. The views from all areas of the hotel ar spectacular and we cant wait to go back.
Lefay Resort & Spa Lago di Garda

This is the best spa hotel I have ever visited! Beautiful hotel with top notch service, and the spa and pools are incredible. Note that this is a destination. It is perched on the top of a hill, so it is not easy to leave, and you should go there for a few days to enjoy the spa and the incredible food. We had a suite that included a large deck overlooking the lake, and a hot tub. The huge bathroom even had a dry and steam sauna. Room service on the deck was excellent, and the breakfasts are huge and delicious. We will return!
Hotel Leonardo Da Vinci

Lovely hotel near Limone. Room was spacious and large, slightly outdated but no problems, we had a lovely patio terrace. Great large pool area with lots of seats and loungers. There is also a large children’s pool with slides as well and a private beach is across the road which offers lunch and drinks and some entertainment! You can hire beach equipment from the hotel. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to take you into Limone, although stops in the middle of the day and finishes around 7pm, but it’s only a 15 minute walk otherwise. There is lots of different options for breakfast and dinner although similar food each day, there is a small lunch. Indoor pool is nice and sauna only opens from 2pm. The team were fantastic and lovely! Overall great hotel!
L'Albereta Relais & Chateaux

Absolutely THE worst Relais Chateaux I have ever stayed at and we stayed at over 15 of them. The hotel is old, unkempt, stale, and clearly has not been updated in years. The service matches by being rude at worst and dishonest at best. We stayed one night at the hotel. Checked in at 6pm. The room was like a sauna and we were told it should cool down soon as the AC was started only a few hours ago. By 8pm, it was still very hot and we asked the front desk for help. We were first told the hotel if fully booked so they can’t move us and they can’t give us a fan for “security reasons”. We were asked to check again after dinner and they expect the room to cool down by then. We headed to their pizza restaurant and after a disappointing meal came back to the room to find it not cooling at all. Went again to front desk and this time the attendant- Kumar- told us briskly he can’t do anything about it. He claimed he can’t call an AC technician at this late hour and has no other rooms to move us to. He kep cutting us every time we tried to explain how hot the room was and it was unacceptable to expect us to stay in a room with no AC and 80F when we paid $900 for the night, Kumar was rude, extremely disrespectful and belligerent. Only after we threatened to sleep in their lobby and insisted he call the hotel director, did he do so. We asked to speak with the director and were told he cannot speak to us at this last hour!! We were moved to another room which was much cooler but with just as dilapidated bathroom. Amazing how the room suddenly became available after the constant lying that they are fully booked. In the morning, we asked to meet with the director and were told he’s in a meeting offsite for all day. The only person available to speak with was an assistant front desk manager. When we mentioned that we had clearly communicated last night that we need to speak with the director, it’s unacceptable that he’s not available. We were the told he would call us in an hour. Of course, no one called. Making it rather clear why the whole experience was so terrible- it’s come from top down. When the hotel director does not care about the customer experience, of course, no one else will. This hotel needs to be delisted from Relias C and Smiths. They absolutely don’t care about service, quality or standards that a luxury hotel should have.
