Eala My Lakeside Dream - Adults Friendly

Eala My Lakeside Dream - Adults Friendly

Province of Brescia
Eala My Lakeside Dream is a resort and spa located north of Lake Garda and five minutes drive from the town of Lamone. My wife and I chose to stay at the Eala Resort and Spa for a five-night stay to celebrate our honeymoon. Overall, our stay at Eala Lake Garda Resort and Spa was good, let down by an unfortunate incident at the end. We liked the friendly staff, the spa and facilities and the decor of rooms and hotel. But we would have liked to see complimentary filtered water per night, more variety at the breakfast buffet, reliable Wi-Fi and the ability to iron our clothes without a fee. Spa and Facilities The hotel features a spa with an indoor pool, a relaxation room, two saunas, a steam room, an ice room and a whirlpool. The spa is one of the best we have experienced, is on par with the London Corinthia Hotel, but has the added benefit of a spectacular view of Lake Garda. During our stay, we opted for the fifty-minute couples massage. Our therapists and the treatment were excellent. Rooms and ammendaties The rooms are spacious and feature a modern design. All of the rooms come standard with a balcony and view of the lake, regardless of room type. We stayed in a deluxe room, which included a queen-sized bed, a separate bath and shower, and a Juliet sink. The included shower gels and soaps are the same products provided in the spa. They are easy on sensitive skin and feature a relaxing aroma. They’re some of the best products I've experienced in a hotel. Water is complimentary on the first day but will come at a fee for subsequent days. We got charged 16 euros at checkout for filtered water, which came as a surprise. There is no iron in the room and the hotel does not provide them. However, the hotel provides an ironing service, at a fee of between three - fifteen euros. To iron your T-shirt will cost you five euros. The lighting controls were not intuitive to use. It was difficult to identify what switch controlled what light. The washrooms in the hotel operate on sensors, which shut off whilst you are using them, so make sure you wave your arms around whilst doing your business. Food and service To start, you don't sign for anything in this hotel, so the only time you see a bill, except for spa services, is at the end of your stay. Instead, staff take your room number and then you order what you want. We felt that this was good and bad. There is nothing more annoying than staff members taking payment from other guests whilst you are trying to relax by the pool. However, sometimes mistakes can happen and to avoid nasty surprises at checkout, it's good to keep tabs on what you've been charged for. The resort features three restaurants, which include a lounge bar and grill. We ate at the poolside and breakfast area. The breakfast was good and offered a good selection of cereals, pastries and cold meats. However, it lacked variety and on the third day of our five-night stay, we became bored with the choices. Parish S.Gottardo

Centro Paolo VI

Centro Paolo VI

Brescia|1.93km from Parish S.Gottardo
I chose to stay at the Centro Paolo VI when I booked a trip to Italy at short notice, inspired by the good reviews on Trippadvisor. My experience was predominantly positive. Room was clean, with good air-conditioning. The furnishings were simple. The bed was, perhaps, a little too firm for my taste, and a bit low for a bloke with a bad knee. :-) Lighting in the bedroom might have been a bit brighter. The bathroom was clean, although, as mentioned by some other reviews, the shower was a bit tight. The building is a bit of a mixture. In part, it is a grand baroque palace, but other parts are much more functional. It has clearly been in institutional use for a long time. I gather that, before taking on its present function in 1975, it had been a seminary. It remains a church foundation, and functions mainly as a conference centre, offering meeting rooms for far more more people than it could accommodate overnight. Its lifts, as remarked in some less positive reviews, are decidedly old-fashioned but were perfectly adequate to get me and my luggage up and down, which is, after all, the only thing you need a lift to do. So far as food is concerned, breakfast was served in buffet style, with staff bringing coffee or tea to guests at their tables. Weather permitting, breakfast can be eaten outside in the garden. What was less helpful about the very obvious conference centre purpose was the situation about evening meals. For the first four evenings of my stay, I ate in the restaurant. Choice was a bit limited, but the food was tasty and served by a friendly waiter. On the fifth night, a Sunday, I cheerfully set off to the restaurant, only to find it closed. Not only is it always closed on Sundays, it was now closed for a summer break until 28 August! This is NOT notified on the web site, nor any any notice displayed in the building. This may make perfect sense for a conference centre in a period when nobody is arranging conferences, but is awkward for holiday accommodation. The building is in a quiet area, but is served by buses on neighbouring streets. Brescia's complex one-way system means that, for example, the 12 from the station stops one street away at the front, but the bus going towards the station stops a couple of streets to the rear. It is only about 5 minutes' walk to the biggest cultural site of the city, the Santa Giulia Museum, and other places of interest are within walking distance. Staff were invariably friendly and helpful. Incidentally, if you are going by car, booking directly with the institutions gets free parking in a safe, enclosed yard.

Hotel Diana

Boario Terme|0.88km from Archeopark
My wife and I have been staying ten days in full comfort and adventure. And that is why, unlike many guests who generally sit on the grounds of the term care, we used the Hotel as a wonderful support base, to turn in the radius of more than 100 km, wonderful naturalist and landscaped places. But we come to the description of the hotel that we thought ordered very clean and furnished with the right sobriety in the details. The discreetly large room has all the comforts and everything works and ordered. The hotel has many beautiful places to stay and relax, from the Hall, to open-air lounges in the garden with fontanella, a comfortable tivu room and a great gym, pool and more. The beautiful room is the tables equipped with elegant and professionalism as well as the service and availability of staff and gentle owners. The only stone and demerit notes, the green sun buffet and always the same, a great monotony as breakfast always the same, then I would give a absolute zero to the machines producing hot drinks The hotels are also very nice, but they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and they are very nice, and We shall not talk about 10-dog desserts and praises, good and so much. We feel like advising this Hotel Diana to all, not only to who uses the term, but also to who like us like to make trekking, see mountains, lakes, and so many suggestive villagers. If it happens, we will return without doubt, the price of the stay is competitive. Good to all the family and staff.

We had an initial issue with our air conditioning not working but the team at the hotel moved us to another room which was much cooler. Staff are very nice and the breakfast is amazing value. Very close to the station and metro so ideal if you want to travel the area as we did. Iseo on the lakes a great day out by train.

I had a room with a dream view of the doom. The room and the bathroom I found relatively old. The air conditioning had not even much performance against the heat. The whole building worked inside like a time machine in the 1930s. But: All staff at the hotel were really very friendly and helpful. That was great class.

Fabulous location, just off the main square and the bars/restaurants. Boats/ferry virtually on the doorstop, so never had to go too far if we didn't want to. Train station about 15 mins walk away, easier downhill, not so quick on the way up with bags! For some reason I was expecting a smaller family run hotel. It seemed to be much bigger than I expected and that 'family feel' was lacking unfortunately. Majority of the time there was no one at reception and other than one staff member (or family) the rest seemed pretty uninterested. The hotel room was brown and although had 2 windows, looked onto the back of the building making the room felt quite dark. It was quiet though as long as the windows were closed and the room was clean. A continental breakfast was included. We were there for a week and unfortunately after the first couple of days there was no fruit available and from day 3/4 most of the breakfast offerings were mostly gone at least half hour before breakfast ended, which led to a few disgruntled guests and a few leaving still hungry. Other than breakfast, we did eat at the hotel a couple of times. The food was nice, though I felt a bit overpriced. Service was good on the first occasion but pretty indifferent on the second occasion. It felt like the owners' priority was on running the restaurants, which were busy, both at lunchtime and evening. The hotel was very convenient but overpriced for what it offered...but then I guess we went peak time...! I don't think I would rebook the hotel if I was to go back to Desanzano.

We stayed here because the other place we were at was completely unacceptable. When I called to check on a room, ”Enzo” took great care of us. He put us in a king suite. It was clean and every necessity was there. We were there in winter, so we didn't use either of the pools, but we did get a good meal at the attacked Indian restaurant. Thank you Enzo.

Old Town
What an amazing place! We couldn't have asked for a better location. The hotel was lovely and comfortable, but it was the staff that made our time there so memorable. Each staff member greeted us with a smile and engaged us in helpful and delightful conversations. The breakfast is, of course, amazing. I wish that I remembered the name of the lovely woman that oversaw the breakfast. She treated us like family, even introducing her daughter to us. One evening, they prepared a meal for our family. The food was outstanding as was the service. Eating on the patio, and watching the sunset over the lake was a dream come true. As we checked out, our host presented us with a small farewell gift. I don't usually tear up, but this gesture made me feel like I was saying goodbye to family.
