Hotels Near Costanera Center in Providencia

I was excited about staying in this new and modern hotel during my trip to Chile this month. I was ready to overlook the location- being far from the historic sites. The fact that the hotel is attached to a nice modern mall with a grocery store made it very appealing. However, the positive sides stop here, and I must mention that one of the doors, leading to the hotel from the mall wouldn't open- my card was working but the door was stuck. So, I had to go back 5 floors of escalators, exit the mall and walk into the hotel's street entrance- all this carrying a heavy bag with my purchases. The biggest shortcoming for this hotel is the Front Desk and the hotel’s concept that all guest’s calls have to go through the desk. And although the nice employees who work there try very hard, the desk is severely understaffed. I waited for a long time to check- in as there was only one person on duty. Someone else finally came to check me in. They say that the first impressions are very important and in this case they set the tone for my stay. Problems with logging into the internet( the employee who checked me in forgot to add me to the system) and the room TV that I had to solve right after I got into my room; even had go to the Front desk for because no-one picked up the phone. And all that after traveling for 24 hours and being very tired from my journey. This morning I again tried to get in touch with the Front desk for another issue, but again no one picked up the phone. I know that if I go to the desk I will have to wait for a very long time to be served only to be told that I need to wait in my room. Because of the many unlicensed taxis in Santiago, the hotel's staff told me at check-in that all trips should be arranged through- yes, you got it, through the Front desk! And what they do it reserve a vehicle and driver with a private company the hotel works with, for 4 times the price of a regular taxi. I used taxis a few times after that (the vehicles with the yellow roof), and didn't have any problems. So, it's the hotel that overcharges its guests with claims that all taxis in town are a scam. And yes, there is no direct phone for the housekeeping department, or for the restaurant, all calls should go through the Front desk, so expect that your call may not be answered on the first, or second try. The breakfast, although seemed plentiful and nice, is of a very low quality. The eggs were semi- raw, the quiche- a few days old. And so were all the pastries. The fruit consisted of a few chunks of what seemed like an old watermelon, wrapped in a small bowl. And at the end of each meal I was given a bill check to sign, even though breakfast was included in my room rate. What this meant was to urge the guests to give tip to the restaurant staff. My plans were to return for a few more days after I travel around Chile, but I cancelled my reservation and booked a different hotel. On the plus side, my room was large, the A/C worked well, beautiful

The environment is beautiful, the location is good, there is a large supermarket next to it, the rooms are comfortable and hygienic, and the morning is rich. Facilities are very user-friendly and the scenery outside the window is good. Good value for money, but also staying next time.

We have stayed here for 3 nights with my friend in January. It was a nice and lovely modern hotel. We had a twin room which was good enough for what we needed. The bathroom was big and clean with toiletries. We used room service ordering the continental breakfast the 2nd day and it was really lovely food. We just loved Madrid City and had the best weekend without spending a fortune. We definitely recommend Novotel Hotel.

The warmest of welcome from a great team at Ugo Hotel. The hotel is well placed in a nice area. It was modern, very light, airy and clean. Our room (334) was on the third floor facing towards what looked like residential apartments. Our only wish was that our view hadn’t been slightly obscured by a wall to another part of the hotel. The reception / lobby / bar was a good place to sit. The main light hanging above made a statement. The room itself whilst not the biggest had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (3 night) during our tour. There were two big, very comfortable beds. This combined with the pillows supplied led to 3 good nights sleep. The second bed was great for laying clothes out and packing ‘ unpacking. The WC / Shower were in the ensuite with the washbasin just outside in an area divided from the bed space by a divider and hanging space. The shower was very good although some might find the floor slippy. There wasn’t a plug in the sink (by design). This was the moment we remembered the travel plug had been left at home. This was an inconvenience when shaving and meant that more water was used than might have been had there been one. We pointed this out as a water saving idea at reception who welcomed the positive feedback. There was good air-conditioning but like most you need to leave one of the key cards in if you want it to continue working when you go out. That said from an energy saving point of view it didn’t take long to cool the room down once we returned. We did turn the AC down at night as like most installations the noise can be a bit of a pain when trying to sleep. There was a good choice of food for breakfast and a nice looking bar with a fantastic team. Not everyone spoke English but we didn’t speak any Spanish but we got by just fine. We had some great Chilean wine and loved the Pisco Sour. Thanks to Laos Silizar for giving me his recipe. There is an enclosed garden area at the back close to the bar with a variety of seating among greenery and to one end a pool. The lifts were quick and we never had to wait more than a few seconds for one. There were two ice cream shops within seconds of the main entrance and a number of nice restaurants. The tallest building in Latin America Sky Costanera was only about a 10 minute walk away. By virtue of its height it has the highest viewing platform in Santiago, from where the 360 degree panoramic view from the 61st and 62nd floors including The Andes is exceptional. Beneath this is a very big shopping centre containing many restaurants of all sorts. We went our for a walk each evening in the direction of the adjoining residential. There were some nice apartment blocks / homes. The area was well lit and felt safe. To summarise we enjoyed staying at Ugo Hotel very much. All of the staff were fantastic. I travelled to Santiago by myself, and, as it is s very big city, I was worried about staying at an unsafe location. However, I am pleased to say that the area around the hotel seemed really organized and secure, and the path to the metro station is very short and easy. About the hotel itself, the room was excellent, with a comfortable bed, a safe, a very large TV and a desk. Wi-Fi worked well (of course, not exactly perfect, but good enough), and the bathroom facilities also were perfectly adequate. The staff were kind and always ready to answer my questions and give me recommendations. Therefore, I am pleased to be able to recommend Capital Bellet to whomever wants to visit Santiago!

The place is amazing to look at, modern arty styles, lighting, graphics, attention to detail. Complimentary bottles of water in the fridge. fully functional kitchen, iron, hairdryer, big TV, toiletries, table and chairs in the studio standard room. My room had a Balcony but onlly with a view of the office building opposite, and partially of the street to the left. Nice rooftop pool, cold water but nice and refreshing in summer, and the view is INCREDIBLE! Views of the Andes mountains and city buildings. Area is close to everything, walkable to most places including some hiking trails, and only 4-5 euros/dollars Uber to the city centre. Staff were young, friendly, helpful and spoke good English. They gave me a map with information on where to go. Buffet beakfast was really nice with fresh juices, fresh fruit and a selection of other foods. Breakfast was in the adjoining Portuguese restaurant which has some great food and not too expensive either. The lifts and toilets were beautifully scented, and smelt great! The hotel price is very affordable and very reasonable for what you get, the location, the pool etc. The catering staff in the restaurant were all very professional and helpful. Disliked · You need a credit card to hold the room and as a deposit and my debit cards and even a credit card were all declined which left me panicking when I got an email saying that the reservation would be cancelled. I emailed lots of times but got no reply until the last minute where I was told that they would hold the room for me. I drew out cash on arrival to use as a deposit and had it returned when I checked out. Unfortunately, there are no recycling facilities at the hotel, but when I asked at reception they offered to take my recycling for me. The AC machines are quite noisy so I ended up not using it, but only the fan. There is no balcony furniture at all and you're not allowed to take any to use from inside. The scrambled egg was a little undercooked for me but when I asked, they'd always cook it a bit more for me. If you need assistance from the rooftop pool area on level 12, there's no telephone to contact reception. Despite all this I'd still highly recommend this hotel 100%!

I have been staying at this Sheraton for work for many visits during the year and by far this is one of my all time favorite hotels. I am greeted as I walk through the door by the many attentive staff. The property is beautiful and the rooms are spotless and so comfortable. The breakfast should not be missed and the waitstaff are excellent. The restaurant is so good, also, and not to be missed. I must compliment the front desk employee, Daniel, who knows me by name and always goes above and beyond to meet my special health needs. Areana, Karen and Julianna are also exemplary employees. Please acknowledge all employees and especially Daniel for always being so kind and taking such great care and attention to detail. Can't wait to come back and thanks so much for your hospitality.

Breakfast is simple, but it is appetizing! Praise! Never have a room on the 4th floor! Too small and too small! The color of the room is too depressed! The floor is too slippery, be careful. The video is a restaurant, the restaurant decoration is not commented, things are very delicious! In general, eating in this house is the right choice, the room is too bad...

The location is fairly convenient and the surroundings are safer. The reception desk and lobby staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are simple, bright and clean. The price is also reasonable. Affordable hotel.

I stayed here for a couple nights and the hotel is in very good shape, everything still smells new. The location isn't really good, there's literally nothing around, you will need an Uber to go anywhere. Never take a taxi in Chile!!! They will totally rip you off. Front desk people isn't friendly or welcoming at all but I think that's everywhere in Chile.
