First vegan review. My wife and I are vegan and we were not expecting much. First day they had little cartons of almond milk but after that day they did not have any anymore. They have different fruits, strawberry, cantaloupe, no bananas, that's odd. and some not fresh fruit like pineapple in syrup. They also have coffee and tea. Oats that you can make with hot water from the nestle coffee maker hot water. Cereal like corn flakes and dry bread. Pool closed ”under maintenance” Bad things: Room key kept failing. Had to get it reprogrammed multiple times. Toilet does not flush well, had to do it multiple times. Soap bars are tiny and not very soapy. Might be the water but not sure. No free coffee in the room, just a hot water electric kettle Pros: Clean room. Good service. Across the street from a Starbucks, grocery store. Walking distance from bars/restaurants. Overall, a good option for a budget hotel.

Recentemente fiquei hospedada com a família neste hotel durante 6 dias, o hotel tem uma localização boa fica em torno de 20 minutos de carro dos principais pontos turísticos e do aeroporto, café da manha bom e camas confortáveis. Porém o que deixou a desejar é falta de poder controlar o ar condicionado, de madrugada fazia 10 graus e o hotel não tinha aquecedor pois só no inverno que há aquecedor nos quartos, passamos muito frio a noite, por mais que o hotel tenha fornecido cobertores. Outra coisa que também foi que não conseguimos utilizar o cofre, tentaram arrumar o cofre, mas sem sucesso. A piscina só pode ser utilizada se estiver utilizando uma touca de natação o qual é vendido no hotel, achei estranho, pois já me hospedei em muitos hotéis e nunca vi solicitarem isso. Fora isso os quartos são confortáveis e limpos, ocorreu tudo bem!

The warmest of welcome from a great team at Ugo Hotel. The hotel is well placed in a nice area. It was modern, very light, airy and clean. Our room (334) was on the third floor facing towards what looked like residential apartments. Our only wish was that our view hadn’t been slightly obscured by a wall to another part of the hotel. The reception / lobby / bar was a good place to sit. The main light hanging above made a statement. The room itself whilst not the biggest had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (3 night) during our tour. There were two big, very comfortable beds. This combined with the pillows supplied led to 3 good nights sleep. The second bed was great for laying clothes out and packing ‘ unpacking. The WC / Shower were in the ensuite with the washbasin just outside in an area divided from the bed space by a divider and hanging space. The shower was very good although some might find the floor slippy. There wasn’t a plug in the sink (by design). This was the moment we remembered the travel plug had been left at home. This was an inconvenience when shaving and meant that more water was used than might have been had there been one. We pointed this out as a water saving idea at reception who welcomed the positive feedback. There was good air-conditioning but like most you need to leave one of the key cards in if you want it to continue working when you go out. That said from an energy saving point of view it didn’t take long to cool the room down once we returned. We did turn the AC down at night as like most installations the noise can be a bit of a pain when trying to sleep. There was a good choice of food for breakfast and a nice looking bar with a fantastic team. Not everyone spoke English but we didn’t speak any Spanish but we got by just fine. We had some great Chilean wine and loved the Pisco Sour. Thanks to Laos Silizar for giving me his recipe. There is an enclosed garden area at the back close to the bar with a variety of seating among greenery and to one end a pool. The lifts were quick and we never had to wait more than a few seconds for one. There were two ice cream shops within seconds of the main entrance and a number of nice restaurants. The tallest building in Latin America Sky Costanera was only about a 10 minute walk away. By virtue of its height it has the highest viewing platform in Santiago, from where the 360 degree panoramic view from the 61st and 62nd floors including The Andes is exceptional. Beneath this is a very big shopping centre containing many restaurants of all sorts. We went our for a walk each evening in the direction of the adjoining residential. There were some nice apartment blocks / homes. The area was well lit and felt safe. To summarise we enjoyed staying at Ugo Hotel very much. All of the staff were fantastic. Remarkably accommodating hotel in a great part of Santiago. The staff was excellent and very patient with my inability to speak reasonable Spanish. The location is great for getting around the city with a Metro stop less than 1 block away. And the rooftop bar delivers a view that will really impress any visitor to Santiago. This is a great place to stay in Santiago.

Had a lovely stay, friendly helpful staff and clean, modern, spacious rooms with stylish decor. Nice breakfast and reasonable price. Great location close to central Santiago, Santa Ana and Cumming subway stations and many restaurants. Would recommend to anyone.

This hotel stay was arranged by Silversea following a cruise from Guayaquil to Valparaiso, with return flights from Santiago. Our room was comfortable; food, wines and service in the restaurant were generally excellent. We had a late-evening flight out of Santiago, so the hotel folks graciously let us stay in our room until 3:00 p.m. If back in Santiago, we'll definitely consider staying here again.
