Sweet Memories Hotel Apts

Would not recommend. We were booked to stay here for 8 nights. We arrived on the first night to find the room was covered in ants all over the bathroom and living area. There was spots of mould all around the bathroom also. We went straight to reception to make them aware of these issues and ask if we could be changed rooms, which we were then told by the man on reception that it was not possible to move as the hotel was fully booked, so they expected us to stay in this disgusting room, they did not offer for it to be cleaned or offer “special cleaning” for ants which they are trying to tell our holiday provider they did. It then resulted in us having to move hotels at our own expense as this hotel was not in anyway trying to make our holiday experience with them enjoyable.

Last minute deal booked for Sweet Memories Appts, and we were slightly skeptical having looked at some previous reviews. However, were pleasantly surprised. You certainly get what you pay for! All basic amenities taken care of, rooms clean, pool adequate, sun loungers had seen better days but got the job done. Never had many dealings with staff, however when requesting additional items (pillows, towels, extending room on last day) they were accommodating and polite. Good location and everywhere is within walking distance. Good value for money & would no doubt stay again in the future.

Good sized, clean and comfortable studio apartment. Has everything you need. A perfect base to enjoy Eastern Cyprus. Well equipped with great air conditioning. Rooms cleaned and linen and towels changed very regularly. Second visit and will definitely come again as great value for money.

We travel 2/3times a year we have never come across such an unfriendly hotel ever .the room allocated was unlivable dirty water,dirty toilet, filthy bed ,dangerous hob no towels, no toilet paper no utensils the whole place wants closing down with the exception of the part we moved out and will take it further you pay good money and lose holiday time and is total health risk

Unfortunately this was the worst experience we have had when arriving at a hotel. We arrived very late at night and the night Porter gave us a room key and grunted instructions to where our room was. We asked about the lift and he said no lift. An English lady who was already staying at the hotel, kindly showed us where to go, only to find that we had to climb a flight of steps with our luggage. When we got into the apartment it was very basic but that wasnt a problem. There was no kettle, no toaster, and a very dangerously faulty gas cooker ring. We complained to the night Porter who just shrugged his shoulders. We didn’t unpack, but slept for the night. The next day we told the staff. Eventually we were offered a key to another room and told to go look at it. We located the room ourselves via the lift. The room was clean and smelled new. It was like a different hotel. Unfortunately this was a studio so we had no bedroom and no balcony. However we said we would try it. During the course of our first week there were numerous guests who complained about their rooms and missing equipment. We felt that we were being ignored by staff and only had clean towels once. We asked to be moved to another hotel for our second week. The only sweet memory we have is Tina, the lovely bar staff on an evening.

We have just returned from a wonderful 10 day holiday here. I am not one to usually write reviews, but felt it was important given what a little gem this place is. We arrived in the early hours of the morning with a 1 and 3 year old- we were shown straight to our apartment and also able to purchase a 6 pack of water from reception for €3. Our apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, including helping to entertain our little ones. It is a lovely, welcoming family hotel. There is nothing commercial about it, which suited us perfectly. Breakfast was delicious- freshly cooked to order each morning. The pool area was clean and there were always plenty of sun beds. It is only a 10 minute walk to the beach and main *****.

I can't understand the negative reviews given to this mid range family run Hotel Apts. Sad people posting negative comments obviously angry people at home. We stayed in Superior Room which met the criteria for that classification. Friendly staffing and very clean. My Recommendation do not believe n those banal sad people . I'm coming back next Oct

Mixed reviews about this place. We arrived late at night and was met by an unhelpful member of staff who gave us our room keys which we had to go to in the dark. Rooms were tired and basic. Part of the complex has been refurbished and rooms look fab but unfortunately, we were in old part. My friends apartment was filthy and had lots of ants. I had a lovely pool and sea view. Location is very central for everything but if I was to return to these apartments, I would definitely request a refurbished room.

Writing this review from the balcony of our superior apartment. I had been a bit apprehensive before getting here as there have been some very negative reviews recently. I needn't have worried, we arrived very late and the man on the desk was polite and checked us in very efficiently. The apartment itself is very spacious, clean and in good repair. An added bonus is our balcony looks over the pool and has sea views. The pool is very clean if a bit cold when first getting in but a good way to cool down after exploring the area! Location is excellent with some good restaurants close by and the ***** less than 10 minutes walk away. I have no complaints, we are really enjoying our holiday and would recommend Sweet Memories.
