I had high expectations after reading other Trip Adviser reviews and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel was clean, well kept and the staff were amazingly attentive. The pool areas were ideal for our children aged 7 & 11 and it was the best AI food we've had with something for everyone and well presented. It is set back from the ***** but we preferred that so you could venture into the busier areas of Protaras when you wanted or enjoy the tranquility of the hotel. A special mention to the Manager Flouris who went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble. I'm not one for making return visits to the same hotel but I would make an expectation for St Elias due to the great management by Flouris and we have so many great memories of our time there! I meant to write this review as we returned from holiday in April 24 but am only just getting round to it now. We travelled with extended family and there was 10 of us 6 adults and 4 children between the ages of 8 and 6 months. We all had a brilliant time. My nephew has coeliac disease and the hotel went above and beyond to help him. Unfortunately the manager wasn’t there when we arrived and due to some miscommunication he did have some gluten very early on and was very sick but they dealt with it very well and the manager came and helped him at dinner every night bringing him out special puddings and everything so he had a brilliant time the whole rest of the holiday with no issues at all. The pools were chilly but absolutely useable and the slides were brilliant. The entertainment team were fantastic, so friendly with both kids and adults and really made an effort to involve everyone. The kids loved the mini disco and the entertainment afterwards was enjoyed by all the adults. The gym could have done with some free weights. The food was the best all inclusive food I have ever experienced, so fresh and delicious and really varied every day with local foods to try and fussy friendly food too. Drinks were good with slushies for kids and good cocktails for adults. The Prosecco wasn’t very nice but there were so many other drinks to choose from. Rooms were nice though didn’t feel particularly luxury. The surroundings are beautiful and worth walking up the hill to the church for the view! Would definitely stay again.

My partner and I stayed for a week in September and had the best time! We were greeted by 2 lovely members of staff after a late flight, including the hotel manager, who is a credit to his hotel! He couldn’t have done more, always checking up on us throughout our stay and chatting to all of the guests. All staff were extremely attentive and friendly, and nothing was ever too much of an ask. The apartments are very spacious with lots of storage space. I love that the hotel is laid out like a village with bungalows! The food was also amazing, great quality and so tasty- we didn’t get bored of it at all like at some all inclusive hotels! There are themed nights every night (such as Italian night, Mexican night, East Asian night and Peruvian night) and there’s something for everyone! There is a snack bar which serves toasties, burgers, chips etc all day too. The drinks are great, shout-out to the strawberry daiquiri! Also the milkshakes are to die for. There are 2 pool areas, one large pool with slides which seemed busier where lots of pool activities take place, then a quieter pool which has more of a relaxed feel, where mainly adults seem to stay around. We never struggled to get a sunbed which is a huge perk for me too. The hotel has a free shuttle bus operating every hour down to fig tree bay, dropping off down the ***** too. However, the hotel is not too far of a walk to the *****, and we often walked down anyway (taking 10-15 minutes) so don’t let the location put you off! Protaras is a wonderful resort with so much to offer. Finally there are lots of beautiful cats around the hotel, they are so friendly and sweet, and very much add to the village feel of the hotel! Please do take care of them We will 100% be returning to this hotel, thank you to the staff for making our stay so brilliant! Jess and Charlie

This place is just the perfect place for families with little ones. The rooms are spacious, the entertainment staff on site and the staff in the restaurant are all so tolerant and nice to all visitors big to small. Great variety of food in the main restaurant. Don't forget to book at least one dinner at the meze restaurant :-)

Fantastic resort 15 minutes walk from Protaras centre. Staff, from Reception, Bar, Restaunt and the Meze, were all fantastic from day one until we were leaving after our week there. So attentive and friendly! Best and biggest variety of food we've had at any All Inclusive, and branded sprouts, beers, etc I would say that a couple of pieces of furniture in our room were a bit tired and could do with replacing, but that in no way detracted from our experience at this wonderful resort. Would we go back? DEFINITELY! (Oh, and Rod Stewart at the Bliss Bar on the ***** was brilliant! He and my missus both apparently shop in Primark for their leopard print tops!!)

We have just returned from holiday with mixed emotions. The complex/hotel was not suitable for electric wheelchair users although, the hotel advertise it caters for disabled. Tui only state the hotel is built on a hill. Being in an electric chair, inclines are not a problem however, within the complex itself it’s crazy paved paths, steps and hills all around made it treacherous and inaccessible in most areas. It appeared difficult for pushchairs too with parents lifting babies up and down steps. After a 15 hour wait and three inaccessible rooms later we were finally offered a room that was half suitable with 2 steps to negotiate. The room was a decent size however, the windows were dirty. Inside kitchen cupboards smelt awful. The set of drawers in the room also stank of damp so we weren’t able to use them without spraying inside daily to prevent clothing stinking. Although the room was up to four people it was equipped for three. Outside the Weeds were knee high, bald grass on the garden area with a dripping pipe making a bog. Overgrown hedges and shrubs. Opposite us and separated by a road was the dump full of waste, abandoned beds chairs etc etc. litter and plastic bottles littering the bushes. From the room there was no view whatsoever. On entrance to the hotel the Restaurant, gym and quiet pool looked very appealing. The hotel could do with the similar touch throughout the complex. If you are drawn to the hotel for kids slides there are age and height restrictions. Snack bar was ok for kids. The restaurant food was plentiful. Clean environment. Night time entertainment was repetitive although, Annabelle is a good singer. There is no shop on site and not one close by, Staff were very friendly and hard working apart from 2. One was witnessed laughing when approached about parking over the only dropped curb on site. Late checkout fee of 70 euro was wavered because we stressed the 15 hours waiting for a room on arrival was unacceptable. Our daughter was shown a room prior to our arrival and agreed it was suitable. The manager although very nice on face value was arrogant and rude when challenged because he was responsible for reallocated the accessible room before we arrived. He raised his voice and hand gestured for me to go sit down. He was responsible for getting our holiday off to a bad start, well done you! His smarminess and smiles are a front to lure potential holiday makers back. Cyprus is a beautiful place and we’re not put off by our experience here however, this hotel is not for us. A note worth remembering is the taxi prices. After a long walk to and along the ***** we used taxis to get back up the steep hill. It cost between 15 and 18 euro.

This resort is truely amazing, not only are the facilities within the resort amazing, the staff are especially friendly and so helpful. The manager Φλουρής (Flouris) was fantastic, made us feel very welcome. Another major hit for me was the food, as someone who is allergic to egg and milk and an epipen user, the chef made sure everything was kept separate for me, walked me through all the dishes and any potential areas of cross contamination... very impressed! On top of that, the food itself is nothing like I've ever had before at a hotel, absolutely outstanding! Lastly a huge shoutout to the entertainment team, made the activities during the day so much fun, kids would love the activities pool and evening activities, and the adults can escape to the quiet pool if they wish... Would go back in a heartbeat, thank you everyone!!

I arrived at the st Ellias resort in protaras on the 29th August 2024 upon arrival we were greeted by a male receptionist who whilst checking us in told us we had mixed our luggage up with someone else at the airport. He then very professionally handled the situation and even got the manger involved and they got the problem sorted. To me and my family this was good news. The next day are holiday began I am not just saying this but this is one of best hotels I have stayed in on the island of Cyprus and I have been coming here for 35 years . The food was good the entertainment was not bad always something going on. The staff of all grades were polite and curtious . Some of the alcohol drinks were premium brand and made however you asked . The protaras ***** is about ten minutes walk away. But during the day there is a small bus that takes you down free of charge lovely touch. And well done ST Ellias and hopefully see you next year.
