The mighty Block 3 of the former KdF facility Prora stretches directly behind the dunes of what is probably the most beautiful Baltic Sea beach. Nowhere is the beach as close as in Prora. Here you will find the lovingly renovated holiday home "Haus Granitz" in the middle of the block.
The bright and child-friendly apartment "Heimathafen" has 65 m² of living space and can accommodate up to 4 people. From the two bedrooms, the living room and from the balcony there is a wonderful view towards the Baltic Sea and the protective pine forest.
The apartment is easily accessible by elevator. The living area is open plan and offers access to the balcony. In the "good room" you will find a comfortable couch, flat screen TV, DVD player, music system and WiFi. In the kitchen area you will find an oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, spacious refrigerator with freezer, a coffee machine, kettle, toaster and extensive kitchen inventory including children's dishes. The large dining table comfortably seats 4 people. The apartment also has a high chair for toddlers.
The large bedroom welcomes you with a double bed, a flat-screen TV and a spacious wardrobe. The beds in the second bedroom are separate. Storage space offers two chests of drawers and pull-outs under the beds. Here our little guests will also find a small selection of children's toys and reading books. A foldable baby bed with mattress can also be set up and is provided free of charge. In both bedrooms, blackout pleated blinds and fly screens ensure a good night's sleep.
In the apartment's own storage room, our guests can use a washing machine free of charge. There is also space for strollers or suitcases during your stay.
Through the in-house beach access you can reach the beach in about 2-3 minutes. A baker is right in the house and provides fresh rolls every day. There is a parking space near the house.
Prora continues to develop architecturally. The area is being renovated stylishly and carefully. This can lead to negative effects from construction vehicles and construction noise. We therefore grant a 10% discount on the rental price. This covers any claims arising from a defect caused by the construction sites. The discount is already taken into account in the rental price.
Bed linen and towels have to be booked for a fee if required. Please contact us by email.
A laundry package includes the following:

- 1 duvet cover
- 1 shower towel
- 1 small towel
There are several restaurants and cafes in Prora, including an Italian restaurant and an excellent burger restaurant. In the immediate vicinity you will find a bike rental, a cosmetic studio, a hairdresser and numerous shops.
The very lively city center of Binz can be reached in a few minutes by car or on foot (approx. 4 km). In Binz there is also the train station, from which you can travel in all directions. Supermarkets and a petrol station are also located in Binz.

Urlaubsfeeling
Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in der Ferienwohnung und es hat uns wieder sehr gut gefallen. Besonders die direkte Lage am Meer und der eigene Strandzugang. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Sehr zu empfehlen!
Schöne Wohnung mit allem, was man braucht. Direkter Strandzugang- auch nicht so voll. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten 2 min mit dem Auto entfernt. Cafes und kleine Restaurants vor der Haustür.

Toller Urlaub
Wir haben das erste Mal in Prora Urlaub gemacht und uns bewusst für den "Kolos" entschieden.
Die Wohnung hat alles was macht braucht. Viel Platz um seine Sachen unterzubringen und auch wirklich toll durchdacht.
Neben dem Kinderbettchen gibt es noch einen Rausfallschutz. In der Kammer ist ein Bollerwagen, Sandspielzeug,Windumrandung mit Gummihammer. Die Sonne auf dem Balkon zum Frühstück lässt einen richtig in den Tag starten.
Die Strandzugänge sind etwas uneben was für uns(wir waren mit unserem Behinderten Sohn vor Ort) ein kleiner Kraftakt war. Aber zwei Strandabschnitte weiter war dann der Rollstuhlgerechte Strandzugang. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten bietet der Fußnahe Edeka mit Bäckerei Peters. Auch die kleinen Läden im Areal laden zum Verweilen ein. Wir sind glatt ein bisschen verliebt in dieses Gegend die noch viel Potential hat. Wir kommen wieder.

Sommerurlaub mit Familie
Wir haben uns in der Ferienwohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Ausstattung war insgesamt hervorragend, aber an Kinder wurde besonders gedacht: es gab eine Waschmaschine, Drinnen-Spielzeug, Strandspielzeug, ein Babybett und - mein besonderes Highlight - eine Absturzsicherung für Kleinkinder.
Für Lage und Umgebung ziehe ich einen Punkt ab, da wir leider eine Algenblüte miterlebt haben und es dadurch zu einer erheblichen Geruchsbelastung kam.
