Insula Boutique Hotel

Just returned from another fantastic stay at this lovely hotel. The weather was not the best, but as ever, the kind and friendly staff were all extremely helpful which certainly made up for that. Donatella even made reservations at local restaurants ahead of our stay....which was so helpful. Make sure you try the chef's specials each lunchtime at the hotels poolside bar !! Centrally located, most things you need, or places you will want to visit are in walking distance, but if you are tired or its particularly hot, a short taxi ride will get you there, which of course the helpful staff can arrange. This place is truly a gem and I will refrain from saying anymore, so you can experience it for yourself.......The best view for waking up to is in Room 10!!!

I reserved two rooms for my family. To visit in August. The rate I chose said free cancellation and no prepayment until 14 days before my stay in August. I had confirmation of this from an email from the hotel and from their own website. Carlo, from the hotel, writes today stating that if I did not pay in full today my reservation would be cancelled. He had no justification to do this except “hotel policy” and that they can choose who to cancel. I sent him the email confirming (from their own hotel) stating their policy. I had screenshots from their hotel website stating that they do not collect payment till the visit. He would not budge and told me I had a hard time “following directions—either pay today or we will cancel.” They cancelled on me.

A great place, very friendly staff, Pierpaolo, Donatella, Carlos, Irène, Danièle and the owner Emanuele, are very helpful und kind. A good place to relax, including delicious breakfast, helpful people if you need to réserve à table or do an excursion on the island

Many thanks to Donatella and the rest of the team, the truly go out of their way to provide a fantastic experience. The hotel was perfectly placed in a central located position to enjoy all of the island easily. The hotel itself is lovely, providing a relaxing environment amongst many other things. Thank you, we will be back !!

We have spent 4 fantastic nights at Insula and on this interesting little island. The hotel has only 10 rooms and from the top floor room we had incredible views West to the old part of the island, Naples and Vesuvius and to the East, Ischia. The hotel is clean and modern and there is a very large and peaceful garden containing the pool area with bar and abundant loungers and beds. Walking or cycling the islands narrow streets full of scooters , e bikes, cars and minibuses can race the heart a little , so the calm of the garden area was always a welcome sight. The hotel staff and in particular, manager Emmanuel were extremely helpful, kind and nothing was too much trouble and always with a smile. They happily helped us with recommendations and reservations for eating out and places to go and visit. The hotel does not currently serve evening meals however on Thursday evenings they organise a dinner in the pool area with music and even a very talented Saxophonist to accompany. This was one of the highlights of our Campania holiday. Breakfast was served in the glass room by the Reception and although a little limited the staff were happy to provide extras on request. Altogether whilst we thought we would struggle to occupy 4 days on this small island, we would have happily stayed on at Insula. Thank you to all.

Great hotel, on the centre of the island so nothing is more than a 30 min walk away. Staff were friendly, great recommendations to eat and the view from our terrace was incredible. Bar by the pool is great for a drink as well, full stock of whatever you want. Would definitely go back!
