This hotel is charmingly located in a very picturesque setting. We came to visit Herrenchiemsee Palace, however the area offers much more and would benefit from a longer stay. The hotel is beautiful, with good parking and very friendly staff. Boats sail regularly around the different islands and a timetable is available both online and in hard copy at the hotel. There are two restaurants, though we found the menu a little limited at the one we chose. The bar is cosy and lively with jolly staff. Breakfast is served in a pretty, traditional room with historic features and served by organised and efficient waiters. There was no air con or fan in my room, though the heat of August was just about bearable with the breeze from an open window. As well as touring Herrenchiemsee Palace, it was beneficial to allow time to enjoy the King Ludwig II museum (inside the palace, not covered by the tour and located on the right hand side at the front), palace grounds and the beautiful scenery of the island itself. The older palace is interesting, but has exhibitions of 20th century history as its focus.

A lovely hotel with a view of the lake, pretty gardens and helpful staff. We hired e bikes and were grateful for the help and advice the staff gave us. There are two restaurants - both were good but not cheap. We paid extra for a room with a terrace onto the lake but were a little disappointed this was not private but shared. Generally a very good hotel for a pleasant lakeside stay. It's only a short walk to the local port with cafes and restaurants.

We stayed two nights after arriving in Munich and driving to Prien am Chiemsee. The hotel exceeded our expectations with a beautiful and convenient location on Chiemsee, comfortable room, friendly/helpful front desk staff -- and great food. Our meal in Restaurant Blu was fabulous. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. We will return!

Fantastic hotel in the most beautiful environment next to Chiemsee but... We had a bizarre check in where two reseptionists were trying to understand whether our room was ready or not(a room really NEXT to the reseption) and at what time we could go inside. After 20 minutes talking a language that we didn' t understand told us to come back later. The next day at the check out we felt that we should have already gone (reaching the reseption at 11:40)... We didn't really feel welcome.... Anyway the girls at the restaurant were really kind, sweet and helpful, so we have something good to remember.

Das Hotel hat einen wunderbaren stilechten Charme, eine außerordentlich tolle Lage und einen klasse, exclusive Zugang zum See mit einer sehr schönen Liegewiese. Zum entspannen hervorragend geeignet.

Très belle résidence avec de beaux espaces verts donnant sur la plage. Vue sur le lac. Parking privé payant. Situé à 1km de l'embarcadère pour Herrenchimsee. Belle piscine intérieur et sauna. Le point négatif: nombreux moustiques du fait de la proximité du lac. C'est vraiment dommage.

Wir hatten vom 19.7. bis zum 22.7.2024 eine Familien-Suite gebucht für 550 Euro pro Nacht. Wir erhielten jedoch Zimmer 401 unter dem Dach, dunkel, hässlicher Blick auf den Innenhof, in dem die Schmutzwäsche gelagert wurde, mit einer fensterlosen Kammer mit kleinem Bett als „Kinderzimmer“ (das hineingequetschte „Doppelbett“ war viel zu schmal und stand mit einer Seite komplett an der Wand, so dass unsere beiden 8-jährigen Kinder praktisch kaum schlafen konnten), mit einem einzigen kleinen Kleiderschrank für alle, der in dieser dunklen Kammer stand, so dass man ihn nicht nutzen konnte, ohne die Kinder zu wecken, usw. Im Bad gab es Duschgel und Shampoo in einem Spender, der aber nicht funktionierte, weil die Vorrichtung, in die der Spender steckt, in der Dusche und an der Badewanne nicht vorhanden war. Als wir uns nach der Anreise beschwerten, wurden wir an der Rezeption in arroganter Weise von einer Mitarbeiterin abgewimmelt mit den Worten, wir hätten das doch so gebucht! Nein, wir haben eine Suite gebucht und keine Abstellkammer unter dem Dach! Auf die Frage, ob wir das Management sprechen könnten, kam die Antwort, nein, es sei niemand da, wir könnten ja eine Mail schreiben. Unsere Bitte, uns wegen der fehlenden Spender Shampoo und Duschgel ins Bad zu stellen, wurde völlig negiert, es passierte nichts. Fazit: Vor allem als Familie völlig ungeeignetes Hotel mit nicht hilfsbereitem Personal an der Rezeption. Wir hatten insgesamt für weit über 500 Euro pro Nacht noch niemals ein schlechteres Hotelzimmer als dieses.

Sehr ruhig gelegenes, gepflegtes und freundliches Hotel. Der Service war sehr professionell aber trotzdem sehr freundlich. Das Essen und die Getränke waren hervorragend. Die Wellnessanlagen sehr sauber und zu unserer Reisezeit nicht überfüllt. Können wir für einen entspannten Urlaub absolut empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage. Das Zimmer war geräumig, mit Balkon und schöner Aussicht. Wir konnten dies jedoch überhaupt nicht geniessen, da wir sehr unangenehme, rücksichtslose und extrem laute Zimmernachbarn hatten. Es wurde ständig auf dem Balkon geraucht ,laut diskutiert und der Fernseher lief bei geöffnetem Fenster in voller Lautstärke. Bei Temperaturen von 30 Grad und einer nicht vorhandenen Klimaanlage war die Frage: Fenster auf und Lärm und Tabakgestank, oder Fenster geschlossen und lieber schwitzen? Wobei, die Fenster sind auch renovierungsbedürftig und schliessen schlecht. Das Bad war sauber, aber alt und in der Badewanne duschen ist nicht das Bequemste für ältere Leute. Die Umgebung ist bestimmt schön, wenn da Vnicht nach dem vielen Wasser die grosse Mückenplage wäre. Die Bedienung beim Frühstück und im Restaurant Blu war sehr gut, freundlich und kompetent.
