We had a great stay at the Maslow Hotel. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Located around malls and other entertainment. There are also several nice restaurants in and around the hotel.

We were so very excited to stay in this hotel. We have been saving up got a while. It was the coolest thing to see the veiw and envoirment. We couldn't wait. Uintil we tried making coffe just to finde evring drenched te next morning because the coffee machine was leaking everywhere. It was Quite cold outside and changed the room temp to be hotter and then when we wanted to turn it down it wouldn't go colder so thermostat of the room was broken. Just imagine sweaying while you sleep in the winter in gouteng. And you can forget about brusing your teeth because the sink in our room was blocked

Beautiful rooms and warm service especially from the concierge team and the breakfast hosts. For those that will arrive at or from 3:00 am like I did please note that the system boots for 30 mins so you will only be checked in from 3:30 am. Nice ambiance and close to the shopping malls and to restaurants
Response from Property: Dear Ncherotich, We are delighted to receive your positive feedback following your stay with us, we also apologize for not being able to check you in on time. We will address this with the team member concerned. We truly appreciate your valued comments and have shared it with the rest of the teams. Your feedback is surely motivating, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future should your travels bring you back to Pretoria. Sincere regards, Hazel Makwela: Hotel Duty Manager

We only stayed for one night at the Maslow Hotel for a show AIG and boy o boy will we go back anytime. From the arrival to the reception and the rooms, it was just a pleasure with friendly staff attending to us and helping with rooms. The pool on the 1st floor was magnificent with such a beautiful view down to the street and buildings. The pool bar was a delight with some of the best and fresh cocktail we have ever had. Breakfast was also so good with variety of fruit and warm food it was really good and not to be missed if staying there. Time square dome where all the action of the show was is just 50m walk from the hotel entrance which made it so easy to go watch the show and walk back into the hotel have something to eat and drink and go to bed. No other hotel around offers such convenience for a venue. The second biggest mall in Africa is also just around the corner if you feel like dong some shopping.

It was impossible to reach reception or management and I phoned repeatedly. The phone just rang or went dead. David the baggage porter was very friendly and helpful however. Lifts are shaky and scares the hell out of guests. Closet in room has broken door. For the price I paid I expected the hotel to be better maintained and managed.

Property breakfast absolutely shocking. Warm food was in the warmers for hours and tasted horrible. Hotel condition is needs desperate attention i.e. wallpaper in passageways and rooms peeling off.

This is a big, busy convention hotel, attached to a ******. The room was well appointed, the beds were super comfy, the blackout curtains were much appreciated and the view over the playing fields was fun. We struggled to find/use the pool. The 1st floor pool was overflowing with convention delegates during the afternoon, then closed in the evening, and the top floor (15th?) pool was closed in the evening, despite posted hours otherwise. Ditto for a bar - the only place to get a drink in the evening was a very boring lobby bar, despite common areas on the upper levels that would have been great if they were open. I was also incredibly frustrated to catch our housekeeper openly breaching the 'Save our Planet' policy posted in the room. We were there for two nights and our sheets and towels were all washed after the first night, despite the stated policy and us hanging up the towels. Sadly this issue happens at many hotels, but in somewhere like Africa where water is such a sparse resource, I really hoped better.

This hotel is average at best. We stayed for a night to attend the Backstreet Boys concert so whilst it catered for our needs, it was such an average experience that I think I should have given it a skip (the hotel, not the concert). The good points: friendly staff on check-in and generally good service. The room was comfortable and spotless. The bad points: the bathroom was not nice. Tiny toilet and shower cubicle with pipes that made a huge noise when the hot water was turned on and barely any counter space to keep items from your vanity case. The breakfast was included in the room charge and I was really looking forward to this. But, whilst they had a huge variety, the taste was not good. My omlette was undercooked (the cheese didn't even melt), the pastries were not fresh, bordering on stale and the coffee was really awful. All in all, not a terrible experience because we were there for such a short time but I did expect better and I definitely won't stay there again which is unfortunate because the Sun Bet arena, which is next to the hotel (maybe 100m) seems to be the preferred concert venue these days.

Very comfortable stay. The pillows were the largest and most comfortable ever. I attended a dinner banquet on the one evening, as part of a conference delegation. My meal had been prepared in accordance with special dietary requirements and our waitress went above and beyond to ensure I was well looked after and happy. The food on all 3 days of my stay was fantastic. Overall very good.
