"Great place to stay staff were really good and welcoming the hotel its self was very good as well. Had food in the bar which was very good food would stay again."
"The room facilities are very complete, with a refrigerator, ironing board, tableware, induction cooker, pots, etc. There are many snacks and coffee that you can make yourself. There is room service every day. At the end of the check-out, you just need to return the key to the key box. There are many places to eat nearby. There is a very good hamburger restaurant very close by."
"Friendly reception, very clean, superb breakfast, great hotel, our only criticism was the room lighting was very poor. The bulbs must have been ultra low wattage."
"There will be a new look very soon as the hotel is under renovating. Even thou, the renovation work didn't cause nuisance at all. The breakfast here is excellent with different varieties and comes with the nice tea, coffee and toast. We do have a really great stay here, the hosts here all are very good and helpful. Only if the next door if not causing too much noise than it will be good. We recommend this hotel to people and because only 10-15mins walk you can reach a big morrison, small restaurants, spar and post office ad well. The location is convenience too. They keep things clean and the bed is comfortable too. Quiet at night. Only one thing hope the host can add more racks and hangers in the room than it will be perfect. Thank you so much. "
"Excellent hotel in ideal location close to the University. The rooms were of a good standard with all the necessary amenities.
Cleanliness was excellent in all parts of the hotel, Staff were welcoming.
Good choice of food at breakfast. Would definitely stay again."

"School near the train station convenient to travel Quite a lot of rooms The facilities are reasonably good. Easy check-in and check-out good service staff"
"Very clean room. Amenities were excellent and staff helpful. Despite emails suggesting I needed an app for the key to the property I was provided with a key card, which I preferred. Excellent value."
"When we arrived the barrier was down. We had to do that awkward thing of move the car over as far as you can and then stretch to reach the button to contact staff. Unfortunately the staff member who answered the gate intercom was a little hard to understand and she cut us off rather abruptly with the gate still remaining down. We pressed again and the gate allowed access.
We checked in and I advised that I had already paid online via paypal. The staff advised that any payment was not an actual payment rather a hold - I would still need to pay again. If you use paypal you will know it takes several days to show on your account so I could neither prove nor disprove their claims.
We got to our room and were pleased to be in an annexe as there was a wedding going on. Nice room size etc kettle, coffee machine, mugs, tea and biscuits. I checked in the bathroom for glasses and there were none available - I would assume that a hotel charging over £100 per night would at least supply plastic cups or proper glasses to drink water from. There was plenty of storage available and a decent hairdryer.
The shower was nice - however the glass door was not long enough to prevent significant amounts of water hitting the floor - the bath mat was sodden. The shower tray and grout work as well as an area near the radiator had mould/blackening to it. There was also a random hole in the ceiling - possibly an old leak?
The food was great although it took a while to arrive. I did ask for mild peppercorn sauce and no mushrooms - my food arrived with mushrooms and no peppercorn sauce. We left the restaurant believing that the meal would be added to the room - a member of staff followed us out advised that many people may have sat at the table and they needed a room number (this was given when we arrived at the restaurant) and could we pay now?!; perhaps they need a better booking/checking system in place?
We then went through to the bar there were several tables which had been left with glasses on them. They were only removed when we sat at one of these tables, the table remained unwiped.
The two staff on didn't come over to see if we wanted more drinks and didn't interact with other people who were hovering also intending to purchase drinks. I eventually took my chair and sat in front of the bar waiting for the staff to return from a patrol; neither asked if they could help so I shouted over. I believe this is indicative more of a lack of training in customer service than rudeness.
Children from the wedding were becoming a nuisance by this point and were pretty much unchallenged by staff. They were running in and out, up and down stairs taking milk from the fridges and leaving plastic rings on the floor. They made enough noise to be heard on at least the first floor as the fire doors were help open by magnets.
In our room we hoped for peace and quiet only to be left disappointed by music echoing over from the wedding - this finished just before midnight. The bed was comfortable and we slept well.
The gym was lovely and quiet at 8am although the sauna hadn't quite heated up when we headed in there around 8.40ish.
Breakfast was mostly tasty - the black pudding lacked any flavour - the scrambled eggs and hash browns were great. The tea was the wrong colour and tasted like very cheap teabags. There were bits of chips on the floor from the food service the night before.

Very Good
SShaunUnbelievably good experience. Amazingly good value for money. Really great, friendly service, beautifully clean premises and room, gorgeous smelling linen, really comfy bed… best nights sleep I’ve had in a hotel. And riverside views. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to stay again. Great location - only a 10 min walk into the heart of the city centre, also on the doorstep of beautiful walks along the river Ribble through Miller Park and Avenham Park.
GGuest UserWent to Scotland and Preston was the perfect half way points. Hotel is not far adjacent to M6 and not far from M65. Plenty of shops around. Breakfast was fantastic, unlike the Holiday inn Crewe which was OK. Room had King size and pull out sofa, ideal for a family of 4 or perhaps 2 couples on a budget
LLiz3166Stunning grounds. Outstanding building. First class staff. Amazing breakfast. Simply beautiful gardens. Enjoyed a two night break and came back feeling relaxed and recharged, and that was without using the spa. My only complaint would be that our room had obviously not been used in quite a while as there were cobwebs in corners and dust had gathered. Rooms could benefit from a mini fridge especially as the suites are so beautiful you would be happy to not leave it.
GGuest UserThe room was clean, the environment was clean and the service was standard. It was an alternative hotel in the Lake District when Cotswold went to the Lake District by car.
MMarkus evestarReally nice place to stay i was never bothered by anyone very private, bit cold in room but not a big deal for me .Close to everything in preston cant go wrong enjoyed my stay i will be staying here again
GGuest UserThe room and bathroom were clean, the mug and kettle, coffee-tea-sugar and milk were prepared in a tray, even the room had a fan and heater which I didn't use , because weather was good but it was really good I saw them in the closet, I asked for iron and hair dryer, reception was a super nice gentleman who explained to me everything I needed. I stayed for one night, but I recommend strongly, better than Airbnb, no Airbnb with same or higher price accepted my request because I just wanted a night and all of them said you should at least book for 3nights! The other reason is I had my own shower and toilet. there is no need to share it with others, and lock the door. The doors had electronic locks, though, really safe and close to different bus stations. Thank you!
GGuest UserThe hotel was clean
Reception took a while to come to book us in and the supervisor was polite but not friendly
The car parking is poor due to posts making it hard to park easily
I damaged my car
GGuest UserIt's 12 o'clock, no one is there, you can't get in, you can only wait until 14:00.
The apartment hotel is too small. But it's very clean. There are no cooking utensils in the kitchen.
