Hotel Jardim provides a great value with clean, spacious apartments, a stunning cliff-top location, and friendly, multilingual staff. However, some areas appear worn out.

I like this hotel. Yes, the decor is a bit dated, but so what; the rooms are large, warm in appearance and comfortable, which is also "dated" when you think about it. The staff are friendly and knowledgable. The location is spectacular and quiet. You are so far above the sea, you can't even really hear it, but you get some stunning sunsets. A car is almost a must, unless you are planning to do nothing, or just hike in the immediate area (which is entirely possible). The food ranges from good to okay, but the buffets have many options. Choose between indoor (heated) or outdoor pool. In warmer weather, the generous patio would be great. Parking is tight, but that's true just about everywhere in Madeira. One caveat: our mattress was very firm – much too firm for me (my wife was okay with it). My solution was to take one of the wool blankets, fold it and place it under the sheet, which helped a little.

The staff at this hotel were excellent. The location high on the clifftop is superb. Breakfast is full international They run 'open seating for breakfast and dinner. Dinner is buffet style - the choice is very good. They have an indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Car parking by the hotel is difficult but there is a good parking area about 300m up the hill. Our biggest problem was the lack of air conditioning anywhere in the hotel. I think this is unacceptable in a modern hotel in 2023. It was hot - 34C+ in the day and the south-facing rooms get very hot in the afternoon. Reception suggested we leave the patio doors open when sleeping!!

Arriving at the reception, the decor is nice and welcoming, but the room !!!! everything is vintage, the furniture from another era, a smell of humidity takes you by the throat. the beds side by side with small duvets that do not cover! forced to take a blanket to be warm. (cold room) .... the TV does not work properly and 1 French TV channel! no wifi in the room and to top it off the sliding glass door that opens but pulling with all its might with both hands!!! nothing of a 4 stars, just the breakfast and the dinner go up the level... to park you, it is hassle too, in short for a stay of 1 to 2 nights not +

Positive points: hotel located in a magnificent setting, with a view overlooking the ocean and the cliffs. Very green environment. Spacious rooms with balcony, good breakfast buffet and buffet formula at 15 € (in February 2022) in the evening. Cons: room not heated in winter and no blanket on the beds. Just a small quilt that barely covers the body! And the mattress is a bit hard.

Man muss das a

Sehr sauberes Hotel.
