Pirogue Lodge is a tiny hotel with six rooms. It has many advantages – it is part of a renowned restaurant (even the local president sometimes eats here), so I recommend half board; the food was excellent (breakfast is standard, but dinner is special). It also has its own swimming pool, which even when fully occupied cannot be crowded with people (you usually have it to yourself), and most importantly, it is just a few steps from the beautiful Cote d'Or beach. In addition, they will bring you sun loungers from the hotel to this beach on request, which is absolutely perfect. The beach is about 2 km long, has white fine sand, and is simply perfect. The hotel staff are really very kind and helpful, and you feel very comfortable there. The room is large and clean, but rather basic. However, the price is more than reasonable. Take the time to compare, and I think you'll find it difficult to find better value for money. It is almost always fully booked during the season, so I recommend not hesitating and booking early. The hotel served our purposes perfectly—as a base for traveling around the island and relaxing at the adjacent beach, with the bonus of a five-star dinners.

Excellent accommodation and, as we have come to expect in Seychelles, exceptional hospitality and service with the friendliest of welcomes! The room was very spacious, clean and well-appointed and conveniently located for the beach. Unfortunately we didn't get chance to eat in the restaurant but everyone we spoke to said it was very good (in fact, the country's President was having a meal there when we arrived)! Unfortunately, I didn't get the names of all the staff we spoke to, but a special mention to the young lad who was the son of one of the team members who also gave me a few fishing tips - you are a credit to your mum and dad! If you follow in your parent's footsteps, the hospitality industry of the Seychelles is in safe hands!

The room is a bit dated and in need of some love, like for example the fridge that had small rust stains…but the bathroom was very fresh, clean and renovated. The location is also beach front and it sincerely has the best restaurant on the island (if you like tuna steaks). The free parking was also very nice. The sunbeds on the beach were a nice touch and it’s never crowded around the pool since they only have 6 rooms

Very nice property 20 meters from the beach.
Had a very nice stay here, super friendly staff, excellent service and cleanliness. An improvement could be made on the wifi since it’s not really available in the rooms, just in the restaurant/lobby area. For the rest, great stay.

4 beautiful days in this wonderful structure. Very kind staff. Very large and clean room and bathroom. With attention to the smallest details. A restaurant with excellent cuisine. We had a great time and we thank the staff for their professionalism. Definitely a location to recommend.
