Tyn Yard Residence

Location is very good ıts ın the city center u can go ewerwhere by walking try yard is clean but there ıs no shampoo soap… before you go there u must tell hım what tıme u wıll arrıve but he ıs so helpfully

Big spacious rooms in an medieval building, no elevator, which might be a problem for some if you get a 3rd floor room. No one in the reception between 12 and 15, so you can`t check in early or leave your luggage there. (But the hotel next door can help with that!) Nice views of the Tyn church spires. Breakfast at the close by Bond Bar. Very friendly and helpful proprietor. Be prepared for some late night noise from the Irish pub next door.

The staff member who checked us in was incredibly professional and helpful. Apart from that we never saw another staff member. The room was large and spacious, however the two single duvets on the bed were very small. The bathroom was clean apart from the shower which had some black mould in the corners and the drain was very blocked so the water did not drain whilst the shower was in use. The location was excellent; a very short walk to the old town square.

Pavel was awesome! He had great energy. The location was superb.

BEDBUGS!! The rooms looked very clean and were spacious and nice. We had a great time in the beginning and everything was fine. But on our third and last night we discoverd bedbugs in our room/beds that caused alot of stress, even now I'm home. I had to clean everything with a steamer and wash our clothes very hot, which damaged some clothes. The receptionist was very friendly in the beginning and understanding and offered us a small refund, but this is totally unacceptable. When we got home the hotel send us a message that these were not bedbugs at all, but some kind of woodbugs. But woodbugs don't stick humans and they don't walk around on the bed as they don't live on human blood. They also looked exactly like the foto's of bedbugs on the internet and woodbugs look totally different. Besides that my husband is still covered with red spots all over his body. Our doctor confirmed that these are typically bedbugspots which caused an allergic reaction. We receive message now that they don't believe the our video is real and they don't believe us. This is really terrible. My husband is still recovering from the bites and a part of our clothes are still in the freezer. This is a very serious problem and am so upset that they don't take the problem seriously and I would strongly advice future quests not to book here!!!

Not quite 4 star property - our room had all shower gel bottles empty on arrival and after requesting as part of the clean on day 2. The rooms had quite a bit of dust in them but overall was a great size for us 3. Did find the set up a bit odd as we chose this property as it had 24 hour desk though that’s only actually from 11-4 (unless you’re checking in or checking out at a different time then they will be there). The coffee machine was broken. Plus, the image of the cool top level and bottom level underground looking dining area didn’t exist (or at least we never saw or was shown it on our stay). Breakfast was very standard. Despite this, it was a great location and when the staff were there, they were friendly. Though I would argue that this is a good 3 star hotel and ideal if you want easy access to the old town.
