Hotel ben gestito e pulito, bellissimo il prato all'inglese che circonda gli immobili. Bella la stanza. Ubicato nella parte nord di Pozzallo con pochi servizi raggiungibili a piedi . Noi con auto al seguito siamo riusciti facilmente ad arrivare in paese ed alla spiaggia. Inoltre c'erano dei gatti bellissimi che facevano le fusa a chiunque .

A beautiful setting, isolated and quiet, with a lovely pool area. We stayed in a suite that was very roomy, with a large double bedroom and a smaller single room upstairs. Downstairs had a small kitchen corner (which we didn't use other than the refrigerator) as well as a dining table and chairs and a comfortable sofa. Sky TV with all the sports channels (in Italian, obviously) was a nice surprise and came in useful as we weren't lucky with the weather. There are no other restaurants within walking distance - it's a 15 minute drive into Modica - so we ate at the restaurant every night for a week. This was not a problem as everything we ate was DELICIOUS. Enough variation on the menu to eat something different every night if you wanted to, but the dishes we had early on were so good we had them all twice. The best pinsas I've ever tasted - a world away from 'pizza' in the UK. Very reasonable prices as well, including wine. We only spent one day by the pool (because of the weather!) but it looked as though there would be plenty of sunbeds available even if all the guests decided to visit. Most importantly, all the hotel and restaurant staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which really made the stay as good as it could be.

What can I say about Modica Boutique Hotel? I LOVED IT! LOCATION: GREAT! Easy to find, surrounded by many shops and restaurants. PARKING: Free Parking in a lock-up garage; private and very safe, with lift connected straight to Hotel. ROOM (Superior): Spacious, Modern, Very clean, Very comfy bed, Cozy linen, State of the art Shower, Relaxation at it's best! BREAKFAST: Spoiled for choice, everything fresh and delicious. Buffet Breakfast 'a la grande'! WATER MACHINE ON EACH FLOOR: Empty bottles provided for free cold or room temperature Natural and Sparkling Water HOTEL RESTAURANT: We had one dinner. Limited choice, however the food was cooked to perfect, presented well and we loved it. Very reasonably priced. STAFF: Polite, courteous, professional, and always with a smile. I highly recommend Modica Boutique Hotel, especially for those travelling with their car by ferry to Pozzallo, as it is only 20min drive. You will not regret it. Stayed here for couple of nights during a recent visit to Sicily. Location was perfect, about 10 min walk from bus drop off & just behind the main road of the old town. The owners were friendly & helpful. We had couple of problems accessing our key box & they turned up within 10 mins to help. Access codes to get into the property had been sent within minutes after we had confirmed our reservation online - a day before we had arrived in Sicily. Cleanliness - property was clean, rooms were clean & modern. Decor & furniture too. Price was reasonable considering location & facilities. Communal kitchen with free coffee & tea was a welcome added bonus! All in all, very happy and would: 1. Definitely recommend it. 2. Stay here again.

We first visited Modica Palace Hotel last summer and loved it so much we decided to return. We soon found that things had dramatically changed. We were old the hotel had changed hands. Skeleton staff, dinner that used to be amazing but now on a set menu that never changes so for us with the half board would have meant eating the same things for a week. The staff tried to help but we were not enjoying our meals at all. There were only 4 people dining in the restaurant each night whereas last year it was always full and despite this we had to wait for hours to be served. On more than one occasion our food did not arrive as ordered and we sent it back. On our last night I ordered a steak well done and I received it rare at which point we just got up and left. It is obvious that there are issues at management level, cost cuts is the one standing out but what was unacceptable was the Manager's behaviour. When we asked for a refund on our meal he got angry and his behaviour was quite aggressive, he told us there were no problems with the hotel and the reviews were good. He was not interested in listening to our feedback and he just left while we were talking and slammed the door on us. If I was the owner of this business I would be worried. A good manager always tries to accommodate customers and listen to their issues even act out on them so that customers do actually go back. I have recommended this hotel to so many people but will no longer do that and definitely will not return. It's such a shame.
