We had an amazing experience at Milele. From the point of booking Hannes was very patient and accommodating and made the entire process very smooth. Upon arrival Haji, Salum and Juma were very welcoming and friendly. They made sure we were settled and were at hand if we ever needed anything. The villa itself is off the main road and accessed by a dirt road, which is common throughout Zanzibar. We had a very enjoyable stay at Villa Lisa and would recommend to anyone thinking about staying here.

Everything amazing. Even before our arrival, Hans was always ready to answer our questions or our needs. And then once we were there, every thing was perfect. Hans and our private waiters Juma, are always there, with out you noticing them or bothering you, but always that you need anything they are there for you, to help your dreams of a perfect honeymoon come true. The staff are amazing, polite nice, punctual, everything. And the place a perfect chill spot only a few minutes drive from the noisy crowded areas of Nundwy or Kendwa. I highly recommend to ask for a boat day trip, to do some snorkel and eat fresh fish on a bbq in the middle of the ocean with amazing beach views. We rely love our time there and If any time of my life I go back to Zanzibar I for sure will go there. BTW, the food there is amazing good, always a different option, fresh cooked for you and with veg options.

We had the worst experience we had in a hotel. The rooms smell like mold, the beds weren’t clean and the room was full of bugs. The Villa is very hard to reach There is no beach only rocks The toilet is next to the bed and the toilet has no door which is not mentioned in the description When we explained to the owner that the place is very different from what we saw on the pictures ( restaurant and bar were closed, no beach, no proper toilet, dirty sheets that we showed them) he started shouting at us and said that the place is non refundable and that he won’t do anything about it. So the place was such a disaster that we left the same day although we had paid for 5 full nights.

WOW! Amazing villa with great service and nice staff. We loved the architecture and interior design of our Villa. The accommodation is located directly on the beach and was in a quiet area in the north of Zanzibar. You can enjoy beautiful sunsets from your private infinity pool there. Biggest downside of the location is the lack of a sandy beach and the strong current. So you really have to wait for the right tide to take a comfortable swim in the ocean. Overall great service and fantastic food, highly recommended. Special greetings and "asante" to our waiter Haji.

What a fantastic place! We loved everything about this Lodge: 1. Excellent Service 2. Friendly Management & Staff 3. Beautiful Villa with great privacy 4. Very quiet place, only some fishermen and woman collecting sea**** in the area 5. Great Location directly on the beach 6. Lovely private swimming pool with sea water (you get all the benefits of the ocean water without the risk of stepping on sharp stones) 7. Delicious Sea Food and the best fresh juices we ever had Only thing to know - it is a rocky shoreline, but you have a nice jetty made from stone for comfortable ocean swimming. We did prefer it this way, better to have a nice and quiet "rocky beach" than many other tourists. 5/5 Stars - We will come back again!

We stayed here for 6 nights and it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived we knew were in for treat. Hannes was waiting for us with a friendly smile then showed us around the villa and introduced us to Haji who would be looking after us during our stay. The villa is set in wonderful surroundings with a swimming pool and sandy garden leading onto the beach overlooked by palm and coconut trees. The outdoor area was fantastic with various places to sit and relax, and lovely covered dining area where we spent every night having dinner whilst watching the amazing sunset over the Indian Ocean! The accommodation was great, tastefully decorated with comfy beds complete with mosquito nets and ceiling fan which was ample to keep you cool at night. The food was delicious with a different menu for each day of our stay. There was always something on the menu for every taste. We had a BBQ on one of the nights which was one of the best BBQs I've ever had.. Lots of fish/various meats and side dishes, I would highly recommend the BBQ! There was a decent drinks card with beer, spirits, wine and cocktails. Haji was a complete star and a credit to Milele Villas, looking after our every whim, always greeting us with a friendly smile. He also helped us book excursions to Jozani Forest to see the Red Colobuse monkeys, Stone Town and Masai Village. The beach has a small sandy ***** which leads onto rock/ancient coral, it is possible to swim here during high tide, swimming shoes would be advisable. The is also a small pier where you can sit on the end of whilst having a romantic dinner under the spectacular night sky! One of the highlights of our stay was to hire a Dhow (traditional sailing boat) for a day complete with crew. We were picked up from the pier in front of the villas and then headed off across the Ocean to snorkel and was joined by our chef who cooked our BBQ lunch whilst under sail which was simply divine, We also stopped off on a sandbank in the middle of the ocean where we had a swim and paddle, followed by a trip to Kendwa beach then returning to Milele under sail whilst watch the magnificent sunset This is place is secluded with no shops or restaurants nearby, you would have to book a taxi or have your own transport to visit anywhere. We did not find this a problem! Would I stay here again? Most definitely I would! Thank you Hannes and the team for making this holiday feel special and one to remember for myself and my friends :-)

We spent 6 days at Milele Villas. The place is incredible, very peaceful et perfect to rest. People were very nice, and really worry about our comfort. The villas are very comfortable and clean. Food is delicious and note very expensive for such a quality.

What a disappointment! We arrived at Milele Villas to be shown around by Hannes and the staff. All started well with cold towls and welcome drinks but that was as good as it would get. Our "villa" ended up being more of a block of flats completely disconnected from eachother and we were told by Hannes not to use the one room on the ground level due to the heavy leaks. We decided to put down our bags and order some drinks. The drinks took 30 minutes to arrive and came without ice. We were told there was no ice and they would not have any until later that afternoon. Warm drinks at a very expensive villa in 30° heat is not a great way to start. The next drinks we received (another 30 minutes) were not what we ordered. Although the staff are friendly they are not well trained and are lacking basic service skills. We were told we had to order all meals in advance and give them a time for each meal. This puts you in a predicament as we did not travel to Zanzibar to be held hostage by the menu, we went for some spontaneity and the easy go island life. We all decided to order the crab Thermador for lunch which was described as fresh crab served in the shell. The waiter then assured us the crab had been caught that day and was as fresh as can be. What we recieved was a ramekin of blended tin crab in a very unpleasant sauce. It was inedible and we all sent it back. The next day I ordered the meatball pasta which had a strong fish flavor. We never at lunch or dinner there again. We asked them to organize us a snorkeling trip which cost us $100 for 4 people. They sent us out on a fishing boat that stank of rotting fish (We paid $40 for a lovely boat a few days prior in stone town) The owners friend who hangs around the restaurant all day decided to come and slam our door one evening while we were all having drinks in the lounge. The next day he told my friend to be quiet when she dropped something walking down the stairs. The rooms are filthy and beds are unbelievably uncomfortable. We had to brush eggs off our bedding every evening. The mosquito net was plastered with bugs and was never cleaned. The towls were never replaced, neither was the toilet paper. Our curtains were covered in stains. My friend almost fell off the balcony when the rotten railing fell away. I would never ever stay here again. It's nothing short of a scam and your money is better spent elsewhere

By far, definitely the best weekend getaway spot i've been to! The staff were extra welcoming and always there to cater to our tiniest requirements. They made sure we felt safe and taken care of.. We had all the space we needed giving us our privacy yet simultaneously were always around to make sure we didn't have to go out of our comfort to get anything we needed. BEST PLACE EVER!!!
