I recently stayed at Villa Franca, which is advertised as a five-star establishment, but my experience was far from five-star due to issues with the pool area. Firstly, the pool has umbrellas, but no shade. This is a significant oversight, especially for a luxury hotel where guests expect comfort and convenience. The lack of shade made it impossible for us to relax by the pool without being exposed to direct sunlight. The pool attendant refused to let me use an umbrella. I noticed that another group had an umbrella open, which made the situation even more frustrating and unfair. I don’t like to sit in the sun too long, so we couldn’t stay on the roof at all, which was very disappointing. I reported this issue to reception upon checking out, and they suggested I leave a review so management would be aware. Upon her suggestion, I hope management takes this feedback and makes the necessary improvements. Guests at a five-star hotel should expect better facilities and fair treatment.
