The negative of the hotel was the breakfast which remained the same for the 7 days we stayed and was lacking (it only had the basics: milk, cornflakes, omelettes, sausages, butter croissants, marmalades and vitamins) which due to the many people you didn't have time to get them and they took a long time to refill them, the hotel needs renovation, the rooms were old as was the furniture. On the positive side of course was the cleanliness, they cleaned our room every day and changed our towels and sheets.

I came to spend 3 days in Syros. The hotel is clean, the owners very nice and the price attractive. However, I did not find any particular charm. I had a room on the 1st floor. The view was very nice, especially for the sunset. The negative sides were the mosquitoes at 4am, the soundproofing of the rooms (I could hear the neighbor clearing his throat, taking a shower, the television, etc.), and the "average" breakfast. Concerning the practical side is that there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The journey costs €1.80 to Ermoupolis, and is about 40min. The first bus passes around 9:40am. The hotel has a stretch of beach right in front. You can rent deckchairs for €7.50/day. If I had to do it again, I would take a hotel (even a little more expensive) in Ermoupolis itself, if you travel by bus. The bus and boat departures are there. Given the bus schedules and the ferry departures/arrivals, you are obliged to take a taxi.

Das Olypiahotel ist eine gute Unterkunft in Finikas. Wir haben in einer der zugehörigen Apartments gewohnt. Insgesamt hat das Apartment Platz für 5 Personen geboten. Ein Bett war allerdings in der Wohnküche. Das Apartment ist geräumig und sauber gewesen. Es wurde jeden Tag gereinigt. Die Lage des Hotels ist direkt am Strand. Allerdings muss eine Straße zum Strand gequert werden. Das Frühstück war für griechische Verhältnisse in Ordnung. Der Betreiber sehr hilfsbereit.
