The Ibis Budget Hotel, is a very basic hotel as implies in the name. It's convenient for the accessing the Ferry, town centre by bus. Fratton station with trains to London is less than a10min walk. There is no fancy trimmings here. The room was small, but clean. Offered a continental breakfast. Located in walking distance from supermarket and fast food restaurants. The Bus 1 goes from Gunwharf Ferry to the Southsea Pier; but be careful. This bus changes to a Bus 3 at the Southsea Pier. It carries on another hour plus towards Southampton etc. All in all, the hotel offered my family a good rest after a long day out. The bottom double bed was very comfortable. Perhaps the bunk bit is not best suited to a teenager.

My friend and I stayed in twin room. Waa very impressed with the service given and the room itself was perfect for us staying over for one night for a Christmas get together in Portsmouth.
