I stayed for a few days at this wonderful, small hotel! The staff are incredible, going out of the way to fulfill your wishes! They have a lot of tour recommendations and an excellent tour guide as well! The rooms are clean and well maintained. The hotel only has 3 floors and 8 rooms so the staff get to know you well! The views from the room balconies are gorgeous! I got the best sunset and rainbow pictures! The food at the hotel was okay but I realized that I didn't enjoy much of the food in Dominica for some reason. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Beautiful sunset views, amazing attentive staff. Great location. Spent 3 nights, guided private tours were arranged at hotel. Beautiful island. Would Definitely stay here again. Excellent restaurant and bar. Complementary breakfast filled us up.

I stayed at De Champs in January 2025 for three weeks on business. The experience was awesome. The Lise and her staff were concerned with nothing other than me enjoying my experience. They attended to my dietary needs and requests even when (and colleagues) requested items off the menu. At one point, Tami the morning cook, asked me what I ate for breakfast at home trying to make my experience even better. The rum punch is often and the bush rum even better. They don't have centipede rum yet, but maybe some day. ;) I can't imagine staying anywhere else on Dominica! Just make sure you bring comfortable shoes because De Champs is halfway up a pretty steep hill and walking up that hill in the wrong shoes will ruin your feet!

Lize and her wonderful staff always take great care of me. I have been staying at The Champs for well over a decade. Staff go out of their way to accommodate all of their guests, weather it's a ride to town, or a special food and beverage request.

This was the perfect place to stay for our anniversary. The rooms are clean and cozy. Spectacular views! Hearty breakfast is served every day. We had such a great experience we are planning our next trip and have recommended here to our friends.

The Champs is a great hotel when staying in the north of the island of Dominica! Hans & Lise and their staff treat you like family and are so welcoming. Breakfast is delicious, and the dinner menu has different specials each night and all delicious! Rooms have a great view of Cabrits and you’ll see some amazing sunsets from this hotel! Safe, comfortable, and overall a great place to stay!

My family stayed for one night. Clean and comfortable accommodations, delicious breakfast and fantastic pool for family! Staff were very helpful and warm. My children also enjoyed playing in our spacious room, which included a daybed. We plan to return soon.

Wonderful small hotel in the hills above Portsmouth. Comfortable room and bed. Very clean! Nice pool and deck for lounging on. Delicious meals, prepared by an awesome kitchen staff, and served in the open air dining room with sweeping views of the bay, Cabrits Point and Portsmouth. Great pizza! Fun rum tastings, delicious rum punch. Best of all is the lovely, attentive staff. I was well taken care of by owner, Lise, and her devoted team. Can’t wait to go back!
