Seacrest Hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights to visit the Dockyards in Portsmouth. The hotel is ideally placed to get to the Dockyards and other sites in Portsmouth. The hotel is just as good as the other reviewers describe it. Clean, comfortable and with staff who make sure you will enjoy your stay. The views of the ships, the Solent and beyond are fantastic. Highly recommended.

We arrived a little before check-in time but were able to leave our bags there as we went off to the Portsmouth Navy Dockyard to see the HMS Victory and Mary Rose. The staff was very helpful and professional. Both rooms, while compact, were very clean and well-appointed. A good night's sleep was had. The full English Breakfast was one of the best (of many) that I have ever had. I wish we had stayed in for dinner as the offerings in the immediate area were pretty slim. I will stay here again!

The seacrest is closing. I’m so heartbroken. We stayed 3/4 times a year for 3 - 7 nights. It was perfect, our home from home. Nowhere even remotely like it in Southsea so doubt we’ll be going there again.

What a beautiful hotel, clean and so well decorated. We stayed in room 22 for four nights. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated in lavender, massive bed and good shower. Only negative is no double glazing in this room but the window did not let in any draft. The breakfast was amazing hot, fresh and plenty of variety. What makes this place stand out even more are the staff, so polite and always going out of their way to help.

Had a lovely clean room overlooking the sea. A good location, a few minutes walk from Southsea pier, and a 30 min walk to Gunwharf Quay. Easy parking outside of hotel and only £2 per day if you grab a permit from reception when checking in. The breakfast was nice, and friendly staff all round. Nice small cosy bar, the only downside was it was rather too expensive. Would have given an overall rating of 4.5 due to bar cost but thought a 5 was fairer than a 4.
