Our room was the second floor and the sightsee from the room was awful. The pillow is too high, it is unfortable. There were no sheets on the duvet. The central coolig/heating control was difficult. The parking was 15 Euro/day in august, and the opened parking place was terrible, like a village yard, narrow, crowded and dangerous. Maybe it would cheepar and better anywhere else. It is not four stars hotel for me. It is about 150m for the 5* Hotel Metropol and we can used all oppurtinity of this hotel: pool, sauna, eating. It was quite good. The food was variability and good. The two hotels together probably deserve 4* for us.

Lovely experience. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcome drink upon arrival – such a nice touch! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which we really appreciated given the warm weather. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The only small issues we had were figuring out how to turn on the shower – it wasn't very intuitive – and we felt that the cleanliness in the bathroom could have been a little better. Other than that, everything was great and we would definitely recommend this hotel!

Negativ: - room was not cleaned at all during the stay 18.08 - 22.08 - coffee machines were not working in the restaurant on the 21st 08 - check in only in Metropol possible - parking NOT for free Positiv: - good location - nice hotel - friendly staff - pet friendly

We had a great time in this hotel. Rooms are specious and equipped with everything you might need. We had HB and liked the choice of food and enjoyed eating on the terrace with the beautiful view. Reception was very friendly and professional and it was easy to find parking. We will definitely come back.

Modern and nice rooms, nice and wide/huge enaught, top balkony. One service at the desk for about 120 rooms is a abdolutly no go ! I had to wait 2 hours after 7 hours driving for check- in ! Greedy managment !! And that the pool opens up at 9 o.clock (people want to go swimming befor breakfast and close at 7 o.clock in the evening (when sun is burning for 2 more hours is also poor

This is an annex of the main Metropol hotel, 400 meters from the central station where breakfast and dinner are served. The pool is nonexistent!!! They ruined my vacation; don't believe the positive reviews. The staff is rude and unhelpful. The annex is not the main Metropol; the photos you see on the ad are a scam.

So, it was the former Hotel Barbara; they just changed the color, installed an additional elevator, and modernized the rooms. What I didn't like so much was that there was limescale on the fixtures, the carpet had stains, the double mirror in the bathroom was broken, and there weren't enough coat hangers. The outdoor stairs could be cleaned more often. This hotel doesn't have a parking lot, which I find very unfortunate, as the parking costs €20 per day, which is quite steep. What I also regretted was that, although many Austrians and Germans vacation there, the main languages spoken were English, Italian, Spanish, and French. What I did like was that the balcony was large, and there was a safe, coffee, tea, and a refrigerator in the room. The breakfast buffet (I was at the Metropol) was amazing—I haven't even had that much choice in a 5-star hotel in Crete. The staff was very friendly.

The room was unfortunately dusty, but otherwise fine. The air conditioning didn't work, however. We complained to reception twice (out of a 3-night stay) and each time "the technician was sent". That was never the case. I felt it was too bad to spoil our vacation with arguments. Breakfast was good. We didn't use any other services.

Der Parkplatz ist eine Zumutung und viel zu teuer, nur Schotter. Das Badezimmer wurde 3 Tage nicht gereinigt, Mülleimer und Aschenbecher nur einmal geleert. Einmal war die Seife verschwunden und auch keine Handtücher da. Beim Buffet war, wenn es Teller gab, jeder 3. davon dreckig. Das Personal war sehr unfreundlich.
