The accommodation's comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and beautiful balcony views are praised. Guests appreciate the proximity to Portofino and friendly staff. However, some find the prices unreasonable and cost-prohibitive.

Loved this hotel. Yes the rooms could do with refresh and sparkle! However, views are stunning, food was wonderful. Staff all amazing apart from 2 of the older guys at reception they were not interested i you at all. Young guy called I think Andreas maybe - was really cool and helpful. Gave us lists of local places. Hotel beach area and lunch place across the road is great - nice sun loungers and towels. It is a public beach and did get busy - sea is wonderful. Road not too busy but no pavements. Super pathway into the village - access to the path at back of hotel. Super walk into piazza and great views. Not sure why some reviews say the bathrooms were small. Bathrooms are ok and have what you need. I guess it depends what you are used to. The rooms were cleaned every day and were spotless. That said for what you pay they could spend a bit of money doing the decor. Would still recommend this little gem of a hotel as it had a nice feel to it and great location. How can anyone complain when you are in Portofino - one of the most stunning places on earth. Recommend the wee ferries cheap and cheerful. Rappalo was gorgeous. Great food in Portofino.

Room: 2nd floor room with solarium instead of balcony was good but the room itself (sleeping area) is small with odd shape and weird architectural build! Parking: allocated space parking just 50 feet ahead of the hotel entrance, then the bellman/valet will take it somewhere else overnight. Easy. Location: if you get a view of the sea, yes otherwise think trice before booking any room without a view. If you love sunbathing and swimming in the sea, this is a perfect hotel for you. The private section for hotel residents is amazing. Breakfast: small Buffett with good sufficient options. Excellent fresh juices dinner: very good seafood and pasta Sleep. Comfortable bed Bathroom: functional small with excellent shower. Small refrigerator in the room does not cool anything. No coffee maker in the room, only electrical water heater for instant coffee and tea Front desk old gentlemen are not sure how to put it in a nice words…. Let’s see …. Arrogant! Snob! Unfriendly! Tired! Value: 1000 euros per night is way overpriced for the level of this 4 stars hotel, you pay for the town name “Portofino” and the location. This is not a luxury hotel as I thought when I paid the steep price during booking, but comfortable enough that satisfied my stay in Portofino. Rating and recommendations: 3 stars I would not recommend it to my friends. Not worth the money.

The hotel offers a quick walk into downtown Portofino. The outdoor beach area was very nice – it even had a private bar, which was great to sit and watch the large yachts come and go. The breakfast was very nice and the cooked to order food was also very good. Sadly for spending $1100 per night, the rooms were in pretty sad shape and the floor coverings were flat out strange grass cloth. To spend this much on a hotel room, it was disappointing that there were not more amenities such as robes, larger bathroom, a working safe and more modern facilities. We stayed three nights and in hindsight, probably could’ve stayed in Saint Margarita and taken the ferry to Portofino and Ravello …and had a better hotel experience and spent more time in a area with a greater selection of restaurants and activities. Unless you’re in Portofino for a specific event or wedding, you could easily visit this cute village in an afternoon.

We stayed two nights at this hotel. It is in a great spot just 10 minutes walk to Portofino and we had a great water view and a terrace. The hotel really needs refurbishment for the price they charge €600 pr night, with paper cups in the rooms. They ordered us a taxi to the train station. When we arrived at our destination the taxi price which the hotel ordered was €50 for a 10 minute ride. I know Portofino is expensive, but that was a bit too much.( From Australia )

We stayed for only one night in room 108 with a stunning view. The carpet was sticky and stained, the decor just bizarre and the lack of motivation from the staff you almost need to witness. Dinner was ok on the terrace which could be fabulous. Breakfast really poor - not offered anything off the menu. All the chairs were grubby. The parking service was good. We swam in the sea opposite which was nice. I personally felt this sad hotel which could be utterly stunning with the right owners putting in the right staff - needs a really big overhaul before we would ever stay there again - because although Portofino is a beautiful place the atmosphere of the hotel means a lot to us. There was one young lad who tried really hard to make us feel welcome

Very friendly boutique hotel, a 5 minute stroll from the Center of Portofino. We had a large room (small bathroom as pointed out by others) with a sliver of a view over the ocean. There is construction going on on one side of the hotel, so I would ask for a room on the other side. Then it is a touch noisy, being right on the road. Service is genuine and warm, our car was whisked away to a parking with no fuss. I would say its on the pricy side, but that's what you pay for the wonderful little town of Portofino. Being right on the water (other side of the road) is a plus which we enjoyed after our hike to Fruttuoso. It needs to be said that the beach is not really private, there is a private area for the guests, but the little beach has a lot of character. Would warmly recommend this hotel for a romantic weekend.

Don't Even Think To Get Close To This Misserable Hotel With Manager Which Seems To Be Like That Guest Paying For Advance By Booking Com Asking To Cancle Their , our Booking Aftrer Getting Skretched And Feel Badly Just In The First Moment Entering The Recaption . All Our 2 Families Preferred Unfortunately And Without Other Choice To Leave The Hotel Without Our Pre-paid Money ...And With A Lot Of Sadness To Leave Portofino.

This hotel needs an urgent restoration. It is overpriced. The location and the view are great but the accommodation is very poor. The carpet in the room is old and faded, the bathroom is old, and the windows need paint. Looks like a good hotel 20 years ago but that has not been maintained in many years. The breakfast could be better and with more quality products.
