Albergo Del Sole

Stopped here on the way to Provence. A good little hotel right on the shore. The area and the place are very original and good for relaxing. The pizzas in the outdoor seating area at the hotel are very good. Good value for money.

We stopped by chance in this beautiful place with outdoor tables for Ferragosto and I must say there was no better place. STRATOSPHERIC MENU AND BEAUTIFUL STAFF VERY KIND AND SPECTACULAR FROM THE BLOND GIRL TO THE DOMINICAN GIRL TO THE BOY WHO WELCOME US. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The hotel has an exceptional location on the shores of Lake Maggiore. The staff is charming and very professional. We also appreciated the high quality of the meals and a very varied choice for breakfast. Our standard room gave us a small view of the lake and was comfortable overall. Only small regret: it was cramped compared to the price, it's a bit of a shame.

Pizza with the family, yesterday evening, August 1st 2023. In the reservation call they informed us that on Tuesday 01.08 they only served pizza. Some of us had already been and so we left from Lavena Ponte Tresa overlooking Lake Lugano, to enjoy a pizza on Lake Maggiore. In fact the pizza is truly excellent. Too bad, however, that the bottle of white wine that they were supposed to serve us remained parked for 20 minutes on a service counter, while the waiters set up tables that no one was waiting for. After enjoying the pizza we asked a waiter for a take-away pizza (on an evening when only pizza was served) and we were told that we would have to wait 40 minutes. Since we were in no hurry we said we would wait. Immediately afterwards, however, the one who seemed to be the head waiter arrived and repeated that since there was only one pizza chef, the waiting time was 40 minutes, almost as if to make us give up, which we did. We weren't even asked if we wanted coffee or dessert, so since we felt like we weren't very welcome guests, we paid the bill and headed to Luino, and we had our take-away pizza at Tratory at 10:00 p.m., where they welcomed us with extreme helpfulness and kindness. What a shame, Hotel del sole, because your pizza is really good. M. C

Ho soggiornato in questo albergo per 12 giorni, mi sono sentito come a casa Lo staff gentilissimo e simpatico, dai camerieri al Maître e alla Chef, ottima la cucina, la posizione dell'albergo è bellissima fronte lago. Un grazie al proprietario Massimo per la gentilezza e la compagnia Ritornerò presto, ho lasciato un pezzo di cuore con voi :-)

Wir waren im Restaurant auf der neuen Terrasse. Das Essen war eine Katastrophe, nicht mal die Pizza hat geschmeckt und das müsste für ein Restaurant in Italien machbar sein. Wir kennen seit so vielen Jahren tolle und leckere Restaurants rund um Luino, Porto Valtravaglia und Laveno, aber so schlecht gegessen und getrunken haben wir selten, zumal das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis eine Frechheit ist. Durch die neue Terrasse am Wasser, die benutzt wird, wird es einem schmackhaft gemacht dort einen schönen Abend zu verbringen, wir sind leider auch wieder reingefallen. Vor Jahren war es auch schon schlecht und dachten wir probieren es bei neuem Ambiente einmal wieder. Fehlanzeige. Wenn man wert auf gutes Essen legt, sollte man lieber die Finger Dock lassen.
