This resort was outstanding! The room was simple but clean. Yes, a hotel room that was clean is something, specially nowadays when with the COVID excuse hotels are not doing room service everyday (they do!). Well, I was pretty surprised with several things about this hotel, in their simplicity they provided top notch service. The staff is friendly without being hypocrite (not doing that to be tipped). I will absolutely be back and I totally recommend.

Definitely the best resort I have ever stayed at so far! The staff is the friendliest and most attentive I have ever seen, very eager to help and will go out of their way to do whatever they can to make sure you are happy even if you don’t speak Portuguese very well!

The hotel is very well located. In 15 to 20 minutes after leaving the airport you will be at the hotel (including the ferry time to cross the river). Regardless of the room you are staying in, you will be just a few meters from the beach and pools. Above average entertainment for children. The breakfast buffet is of good quality. The dinner buffet could be better designed. One night, dinner is offered in the a la carte restaurant. Very good. Unlike most resort beaches, Aga Fogo beach is great and the pool is close together, which allows you to enjoy both structures. The criticism is the check in process, which is somewhat slow, even though the service is very friendly. From the moment we arrived, it took almost 30 minutes until we were able to get into our room. Another situation that caused me a little discomfort was that on the last day of my stay, to avoid the risk of a parasol flying on the beach and hurting someone, they did not allow them to be set up on the sand. As I had a 4-month-old baby, I couldn't enjoy the beach that day, to avoid exposing him to the sun. The pool areas were already taken, so guests woke up and placed personal belongings to "guarantee" their place next to the pool. The solution the hotel proposed was to sign a liability waiver in case my umbrella hurt someone. I refused, as I don't believe it was the guest's responsibility. We ended up settling for a table next to the pool.

Very good. The elevator was sorely missed as they couldn't find a room on the ground floor for my 82-year-old mother-in-law.
The pool deck is in need of repairs.
