We spent only one night there while touring Porto Novo. The garden is lovely. The breakfast was fine. The bed was small and hard, the shower was not contained and got water all over the bathroom. There was loud music all night long. I don't remember much else about it.

What a great find this place was! Spent three nights here recently. I communicated with the owners Helene and Gerard in advance of my arrival and they arranged for me to be picked up at the airport (I arrived late in the evening). My room was pleasant and modern. Nice bathroom. Was hard to turn the key in the lock but it seemed to get easier as time went by, new lock maybe. My only complaint would be that with just a thin sheet on the bed I woke up cold from the air conditioning. The garden was a relaxing place to spend time. They even have a stage and host concerts and cultural events. Food in the restaurant was variable. I ate one of their specialist dishes, which was great. The chicken and the beef kebab, average. There was always an English speaking staff member around. Through them I arranged tours to The Black River, Ganvie and a city tour. And they helped me with onward transport to Abomey - shared taxi, they drove me to the place where they leave, negotiated for me and arranged for the driver to drop me at my hotel. Were I to return to Porto Novo I would absolutely stay here again. Merci pour tout H&G and your team!

This place is so charming. Super clean. The staff is very friendly. Nice bathroom. The fixtures are solid and well built. I really enjoyed my stay here. It's a simple, calm place with a artsy, relaxed vibe. The courtyard garden is beautiful. The food.... not very good! It's basic, needs flavor, like salt and pepper! But the fresh pineapple juice....😊

Magnifique hôtel et restaurant à Porto Novo avec des chambres très agréables, dans une structure aménagée avec goût. Mention spéciale pour le personnel très attentionné. La cuisine du restaurant offre la possibilité de découvrir des plats beninois. De plus le centre OUADADA permet de rencontrer de nombreux artistes locaux . Lieu incontournable de la capitale du Bénin.

Tout simplement le meilleur dans sa catégorie à Porto-Novo et au Bénin. Le personnel est top! J'y ai séjourné pendant 4 jours et ai apprécié la simplicité, le calme et la propreté du lieu. A cela s'ajoute le confort: toutes les chambres sont identiques et équipées à la fois d'un système de ventilation et de la clim, une eau toujours chaude et une bonne connexion internet. Tout est fonctionnel et pas une seule fois j'ai été piqué par un moustique ! Une piste d'amélioration serait de prévoir une tringle et des cintres dans la partie supérieure de l'armoire installée dans la chambre.

Accueil très chaleureux et personnel aux petits soins. Chambre avec vue sur le jardin très bien. La climatisation fonctionne très bien et change complètement les nuits sous la chaleur de Benin ! La salle de bain est magnifique et l’accès à l’eau chaude est très agréable. Le ménage est fait tous les jours et c’est toujours très propre. Pour les repas, le petite déjeuner est correct. Pour le déjeuner où le dîner, le choix n’est pas très grand mais la qualité est au rendez-vous. L’attente est un peu longue mais on s’y habitue! Et la chaleur de personnel fait tout passer! J’y reviendrai avec plaisir !

Un hôtel impressionnant! On y a passé deux nuits superbes. Le bâtiment est très beau avec de petits patios, les chambres très calmes avec airco et moustiquaires. C’est un peu excentré mais on est en 10´minutes en voiture du centre. Accueil et service très souriants et d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle par l’ensemble du personnel (en l’absence des patrons). Petit déjeuner avec un très bon jus d’ananas. Je suis moins enthousiaste sur le repas du soir. Les brochettes de bœuf étaient très très dures.

Accueil parfait avec un personnel très attentionné. Le cadre est très agréable avec un patio intérieur très chaleureux. Il y a un parking intérieur pour la voiture. Les chambres sont très propres avec climatisation ventilateur moustiquaire. La propreté est exemplaire avec une douche avec eau chaude Si vous n avez pas de pression, demandez à l accueil de brancher le surpresseur. Le petit déjeuner est à 2500 avec jus, café, omelette, confiture, beurre, pain Les repas sont simples mais très bons Si vous souhaitez visiter vous pouvez vous renseigner à l accueil. Nous avions comme guide Ferdinand qui est très bien Un endroit parfait si vous êtes de passage à porto novo pour visiter Palais Royal, rivière noire, et temple vaudou …..
