2-Star Hotels in Porto

Wonderful hotel centrally located walking distance to everywhere. I really wanted to write this review to personally say Thank you to the wonderful lady who checked us in At the hotel and who demonstrated kindness to my situation after an emergency dental appointment by offering an ice pack to help with reducing the swelling. The staff here are first class and extremely professional!! The breakfast options were healthy and plentiful. Thank you so much was a really great stay. Highly recommend.

Recently had a very bad stay at this hotel. Rooms are dated. The AC doesn't work at all. The washbasin drains super slow and water accumulates. Housekeeping was very poor. There was hair around in the bathroom when we checked in. Clearly dirty linen was not changed during our stay. The breakfast is the absolute worst. It takes an eternity for them to refill items, by which your breakfast is done. The juice is basically flavored water. And the hygiene practiced at breakfast is pathetic. The same gloves are used to wipe counters/tables and directly handle bakery items. Not sure if this is normal. I did report most of this during check out and they didn't seem to care at all. Let alone an apology they seem thoroughly disinterested. When I informed them of these problems, the person at the reception literally just said, ”Thank you”. Location is the only USP. I have stayed at different IBIS hotels, but this was hands down the worst. Avoid at all costs.

This is a decent budget hotel and I think it lives up to its 2-star status. Very convenient location with all transport links and a short walk to Jardins do Palácio de Cristal. Interior decor is dated and needs more than just a lick of paint but bathroom in my room was modern and fully functional. Room was a good size, clean with comfortable bed. Some noise from the lifts and the main street but easy to get used to. Breakfast was included in my offer, it’s a simple but fresh offering. I gave an extra star for guest service as staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, from reception team, through restaurant and cleaning team and made my stay special.

When we arrived we did the paperwork and payment quickly, then we saw the room, we stayed in a room with bunk beds, a double bed, very decent and clean. Since we were going to do tourism, we asked at the hostel itself for places to see, they very kindly told us where we could go and gave us a map. That night we also asked where we could go out for drinks and were told several options. We didn't get to eat anything there, but everything looked very good. 100% recommended

Location is really good! I got off the subway station and got to climb some hills, but it was only 5 minutes away. The staff at the hostel was nice and helpful. Although the facilities were mixed for 10 people, the room was really spacious and the bed was very good. 10 people but never crowded. There is a dryer too! I have a locker and give me a locker key. Breakfast is just okay Bread cheese ham juice water coffee It's nice to have a rest outside in the morning. Ah, the Wi-Fi didn't go well in the room. Anyway, it is recommended !!! I'll be here again. And I thought I had a paid winery tour at the hostel, but it felt less organized ..! This is light ...

I stayed here for a conference. The location was excellent - just a 5 minute walk to the campus (Faculty of Medicine), and it was quiet. It's easy to get the metro to the city centre. There's a shopping mall with a supermarket, a pharmacy and lots of food places 2 floors below. The staff were very friendly and helpful; the room was clean; the shower worked well and had a decent body wash.

The room was large and the service was excellent. We made requests such as extra beds, extra quilts, toilet paper, borrowing bottle openers, etc. All the hotel-related employees met them friendly and enthusiastically. The hotel's excellent service made our family want to stay in Porto. It was a wonderful and unforgettable memory. Thank you very much to all the staff of the hotel! We recommended this hotel to our relatives and friends.

Hotel was probably about 0.5ml from Marques metro stop. No issues on arrival slightly earlier than official check-in and allocated room on third floor. Room was reasonable size, clean, but with limited storage facilities and no safe. Twin beds were basic and not overly comfy but acceptable. Shower was like turning on a tap (no spray) and bathroom became very hot as internal and contained hot water cylinder. Towels were not changed but left to dry for re-use so trying to reduce energy use. Breakfast was reasonable, had to ask for cold milk for cereal as only hot provided. Rest was rolls, ham, cheese and jams. Coffee was a bit stewed and strong with fruit juice available. Check out straightforward with bill as expected, and able to leave luggage for later collection. No close by restaurants found for evening meal but several cafe's for snacks in the area.

The location are good but room and bathroom are dirty. Staff are so so sweety but people who clean it should improve. It seems they dont clean. Price isnt so good, expensive for what they offer and it isnt all beds have curtains.Lot of young people shut the doors at night so suggestion here have cushioning on the doors. * A localização é boa, mas o quarto e o banheiro são sujos. A equipe é simpatica, mas as pessoas que limpam devem melhorar. Parece que eles não limpam. O preço não é tão bom, caro para o que eles oferecem e nem todas as camas têm cortinas. Muitos jovens batendo as portas à noite, então a sugestão aqui é colocar amortecedor nas portas.

The good things, friendly and helpful staff, clean room. The awful: We got a disabled room, not sure why, but it meant the bathroom was a wet room, so floor was always wet. The toilet was too high, the sink too low! The light came on automatically, but the timer was set for 4 seconds only, even when showering it kept going off and on. During the night it would go on with the extraction fan for no reason. We did complain and were told an engineer would correct it…..never did! The room and bed were very small, no storage at all, we had a kettle and cups, but no Coffee or Tea, no spoon but there was a knife! I don’t know how you would ever get a wheelchair up the three steps into the hotel, from the narrow street? The hotel was locked morning and early evening, it was only because another guest was there, we knew about the side gate entrance. Car parking, was a tatty, near derelict private garage across the street. WiFi was poor, kept going off!
